My son (13) spent a week in Shiva's summer camp program July '26. He's always had some interest in drawing and crafting but has been a bit self conscious of his skill level. He's brought home some cool pieces and has continued to practice at home. He experienced weaving, watercolor, clay, oil pastel, drawing, etc. It has been a fun, engaging & well-rounded artistic experience for him. There's a wide range of ages and skill levels which I think added to creative, free spirited environment. They all seem to open up and have fun together. Highly recommend for anyone looking to supplement their child's art education and/or have some fun over the summer! read more

Ms. Shiva is truly an amazing art teacher. My son is on the autism spectrum, and ever since he started learning from her, his drawing skills have been improving every single week. She teaches so well, but more importantly, she understands children with autism. With so much patience and love, she guides my son through his artwork. She has incredible energy--always positive--and that energy has been such a big help to my child. Since meeting her, he has grown to genuinely love drawing. I can clearly see his progress week by week, and I am beyond grateful for everything she has done. I am truly, deeply thankful to h read more

My 9-year-old daughter has been taking art lessons from Shiva for the past two years. We are very fortunate to have found Shiva as her art teacher. We had tried many other art classes before joining Shiva's InnerArt Studio. I noticed that most of the art schools have art teachers who may lack either a strong artistic talent to keep kids motivated or the teaching skill to convey their ideas to children. Shiva has an excellent blend of all the great qualities an art teacher for kids need: She is naturally talented, has lots of ideas, is extremely humble to teach and direct students ranging from very young kids to teenagers and adults. Through my daughter's growth as an artist, I have observed that Shiva conveys techniques and her knowledge to students very clearly, and at the same time, gives individual attention to every student! She does a brilliant job in identifying each student's strengths and puts a lot of effort in nourishing them. She is a person with excellent energy and good attitude and these traits clearly drive the class very positively. She motivates and mentors the students in a very comfortable way. My daughter liked Shiva's class from the very beginning. Shiva made my daughter feel very comfortable, and helped her in strengthening her artistic mind. In the last two years, my daughter won several art contests in school as well as the Young Art Contest in the national level. I am thankful to Shiva for teaching and guiding my daughter to be able to recognize herself as an artist. I feel that anyone who is trying to find an art teacher for their children should definitely try Shiva's class. She has an extremely flexible attendance policy, which has always worked out for our schedule. I recommend her classes 100% read more

Shiva's Innerart Studio and camp program is amazing! My oldest daughter, an avid amateur artist, participated in an art camp a few weeks back, and would have happily participated in a second one, had she not already been booked to travel to Southern California. She worked in several different mediums, learned new skills, met a great group of kids, and loved learning from Shiva. She plans to take regular classes with Shiva starting next month because her experience was so positive. I highly recommend Innerart Studio! read more

Shiva's art studio inspired me to become the painter I am today. She begins by teaching the basics of drawing to provide a foundation upon which she builds throughout her lessons. She is one of the most talented artists I have ever met. She is extremely creative and her energy is inspiring and uplifting. I went to the studio for over 6 years and loved her classes so much that even when I was in college, I would go back during my breaks. I highly recommend this studio. read more

I took Shiva's art classes when I was a little girl "age 8" till I was in high school. She truly cares about her students and always gave me individual attention. Her classroom has a awesome ambiance to it, very artistic atmosphere along with the classroom feel in it. After all these years, I can honestly say I feel like I am natural when it comes to the pen/paper, oils/canvas, and sketchbook/pastels. I also enjoy her energy and vibes, a natural when it comes to teaching what she loves. I am grateful to have ever come across such a wonderful talented teacher! read more

My 6 year old son just took Shiva's week long art camp, and loved it!!! In the midst of all the summer sports activities I have him involved in, this was a fantastic opportunity for him to get creative with other children under Shiva's care. The children worked with an array of mediums including clay, pastels, watercolor, charcoal, and acrylic, and were also exposed to various methods used in creating their projects. This is not your typical "here are some items, now create" class. It's a fun learning experience for them. Shiva also provides a healthy lunch and snacks for them, and in between projects, they play organized games outside in her beautiful yard. The camp is reasonably priced, and goes from 9:30-2:00. I will definitely add Shiva's class to our list of summer activities in the future. As a kid, my son had a blast, and as a parent, I couldn't be happier. A side note....Shiva is kind, always smiling, and has the children's best interest in mind at all times. Thank you, Shiva!!!! read more

Shiva is just wonderful with children. I drive from Sunnyvale to San Jose for my daughter's drawing lessons, because she really likes Shiva, which makes my daughter more open to learning from her. Shiva has wonderful art camps as well over the breaks, which are reasonably priced. I am amazed by the quality and variety of what my daughter makes during camps, and the children do not get bored at all, since Shiva intersperses some dancing, and various games in the garden. Still Shiva really teaches techniques, mediums and observing in the midst of all the fun, and my daughter's drawing and art skills are beautifully developing. read more
