Tauk sells home stuff, fashion, art, jewelry, and gifts - both vintage and modern. It is an eclectic and ultra hip selection of goods. A walk through this little gem makes me think this is what Warhol's Montauk looked like. Tanned, sun bleached surfers should be permanently lounging on this store's couches. Not a lot of choices here which makes it all the more enjoyable. My favorite picks are the St. James sailor shirts and Moscot sunglasses.

Not a shopping experience I was used to visiting here from San Francisco, CA. I've worked in customer service and the individuals who work a store are meant to reflect the store owners envisioned experience and overall customer service morals... if this is the case not worth supporting this vision with your dollars. There are many stores just like this on the street with a kinder warmer experience! No need to be walking on eggshells when you are in someone's store.

I hadn't planned on shopping while I was in Montauk, but I had to check out the store after seeing the cute dresses in their window displays. The owner of the store, who I found out is responsible for all the buying, has amazing taste and a great eye for patterns and prints. I'd describe Next Door's look and feel as an eclectic mix of elegant, chic and quirky vacation wear. Think Calypso St. Barth meets Free People. The staff was very intuitive and friendly, leaving me alone when I just wanted to browse and ready to help when I had questions. They even took a dress down from their display for me because it was the only one left in the size I wanted. They're also very knowledgeable about what they have in their shop. When I was paying for the dress I picked out, the manager mentioned that they also carry a dress from the same collection in a different color and cut, and asked if I wanted to see it. It is an unassuming place from the outside and to be honest I haven't heard about this brand before. Rightfully so as i believe they started around 2010 unless im mistaken. Saw they were featured in Forbes! How cool is that! But what really made me decide to check the store was because i saw a few good locals wearing the apparel so i thought "this brand might be worth buying" lol.
