Shortly after arriving I received the typical vision tests with 3 different devices, had my eyes dilated and was directed to the very small waiting. The office is small with limited parking on the side. The time is now almost 5pm and I'm still waiting. Very soon I will be here 2 hours without seeing the doctor. A two hour wait is unacceptable regardless of the popularity of the eye doctor. You can be sure I will not be returning after obtaining my vision script. I doubt the wait is worth it. 4:45 and am now sitting in the exam chair and waiting. I plan to get this over and never come back.

Lenses made from eye exam done at their office was faulty. Had second exam done at CAMC…read moreOpthamology and brought Eyecare one that prescription. They weren't happy about it but remade the lenses; those lenses were fine. Had 2 pairs of glasses made. Months later took a pair in and the frame broke during an adjustment. This was 10 months after purchasing them. They spent over 2 months supposedly looking for another frame. Then one morning I get my spare pair out of their case and as I'm opening the frame up to put them on the frame snaps. At this point both are now broke and still waiting for them to find a new frame for the first broke frame. I take both broke frames back to the store and they tell me it's now been over a year since the purchase and they won't fix either pair. I acknowledge that for the pair that broke that morning but argue that it had been less than the year when the first pair broke months ago. They keep trying to ignore that fact and insisting that "now" it's been more than a year. That they could never find another of the same frame and they owe me nothing even on the pair that broke before the one year mark. Their argument is because supposedly they never found another frame. It's only after my refusal to back down that they take the broken frame ( minus the arm that they left with me) in the back and return moments later with the lenses in an entirely new frame (same make/model, even same color) and I'm ordered to take them, leave the store and never come back there again. They had gotten a new frame in but had tried to say they couldn't find another frame and tried to get out of replacing them by pushing it out past the one year mark by claiming they were still searching for a frame months after the frame broke.

I sat in the chair for roughly 3 hours, and although it was an inherently long appointment it was the most pleasant experience I have EVER had in a dental office. (including simple cleanings) Dr.McGinnis explained every procedure to me in a way I could comprehend, and always made sure I was doing okay and had no sensitivities or discomfort. This is one of the most professional, family-oriented dentists I have ever seen. 10/10 would recommend
