They responded quickly and had someone at my house within about an hour. I thought the torsion springs on my large, heavy garage door needed adjustment. After inspecting the door, the technician explained that the springs were actually fine and that adding more tension could cause the opener to have difficulty closing the door completely. What impressed me most was his honesty. I was fully prepared to pay for a spring adjustment, and he could easily have performed work that wasn't necessary and charged me for it. Instead, he told me the door was fine, lubricated it, and gave me some maintenance advice. When I asked what I owed him for coming out, he initially refused to take anything. I finally convinced him to accept a modest amount for his time, and sent him on his way with some cash and a few tomatoes from my garden. After having so much trouble just getting another company to respond, the difference was night and day. AJ's responded, showed up quickly, gave me an honest assessment, and didn't try to sell me work I didn't need. AJ's will be my first call the next time I need garage door service. Highly recommended.

They installed brackets and a plate to the underside of the countertop, but they didn't line up. When I reached out to them, they basically said it's not their problem and "your plumber or contractor can drill the necessary holes and reattach the dishwasher". Fortunately, I went through FCA to contract the work originally and they sent someone out to fix my issue, free of charge, otherwise I would have had to pay someone else to come out and take care of the shotty work GMD did.

I felt my chimney needed a review because it had been over 20 years since the exterior had been looked at, so I walked over and talked to him. When he finished that job he came over, got out his ladder, and looked at my chimney which tops out at 2 1/2 stories. He figured out what it needed (1. cut-out and R&R one broken brick, 2. complete cleaning with a power wash, and 3. R&R the old flaunching on top), gave me a very reasonable estimate, and came back two days later to do the job. I could not be happier. He performed what he promised in a timely fashion, and cleaned up the site after he was done. He even looked at a little vertical crack I had under a bay window, and dug it out and replaced the mortar in the joint ... and he did not charge extra for that. So I have nothing but good things to say about this fellow. I have worked with four other masonry outfits (3 for estimates and one for a small job), and Steve at Masterly Masonry is far and away the best. His prices are reasonable and he won't nickel and dime you to death. He does quality work ... 'nuff said.

They went above and beyond. The brick I needed was no longer made. This company located 3 different bricks and mixed them to create something that would closely match my home. To start the job they requested 15% down and nothing more until the job was completed. They completed the job, kept me informed and delivered on time. I would never recommend this company. We hired them to finish our basement and upgrade our…read morestairwell and they did a terrible job. among other things, they framed a doorway but left 8" shims on the inside which support it, they trimmed a stairwell but it's not level nor did they finish a bottom edge, the baseboards don't meet at the corners/edges, a scuttle doorway was finished on the outside sans door knobs but it's all raw edged drywall on the inside, they hung doors but didn't provide door knobs, etc., etc. In addition, they didn't come prepared and had no idea what was going on when they got here. If I had more energy and time, I should have sued them. Instead I'm writing this post so you don't make the same mistake we did.
