There is nothing racist about Jason Aldean's song. But apparently Kelly thinks so as she countered Thick's positive take on the song. I listen to the station to hear music not to hear her liberal ideas. What is racist is Kelly's assumption that the song is about Black people, when it is clearly about criminals. The Blitz should be careful because this is the era where "wokeness" destroys brands e.g., Bud Light, Disney, Target, Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, and CMT. I would suggest that she play music and leave the liberal ideology at home. Aldean's song is a great song about taking care of one's family and community and standing up for what's right. Black people do not need another Caucasian liberal female to save them.

Growing up in a roller rink for 20 some years of my life, attending a top ten design college and having the "gay ear" -needless to say my music collection/taste is rather diverse yet weird at the same time. I pretty much listen to pop, rock, hair bands...well, you name it I have it. A lot of the songs the Brew plays either reminds me of certain moments of my childhood back in the rink or riding in the car with my mother as a kid whom seldom had the radio on in the car but when she did it was Diana Ross, Mamas and the Papas, Phil Collins, The Supremes, etc. I like the diverse aspect of their station and I will continue to be a listener when the iPod isn't going with some electro music.

No more Al Franken and "Air America" here - thank God & good riddance! Since this transition, WYTS has added one of the greatest talk show hosts in America to the Columbus airwaves - Michael Savage. I used to listen to The Savage Nation when I worked up in the Akron market and was hoping for the day when this show would air in Columbus. That day has finally come! You can listen to Michael from 6-10pm. So shut off your TVs and tune in tonight! If you think Rush Limbaugh is radical, wait 'til you hear Mr. Savage! Another WYTS winning lineup is the Quinn & Rose Show which airs daily from 6-9am. Jim Quinn is quite simply a political genius and Rose is smart and sassy just the way I like my women! You'll love this show if you're seeking the truth about our political landscape. Another favorite of mine is Laura Ingraham. This lady is my kind of feminist! She knows what she's talking about. Her show airs daily from 9am-12pm. You'll also see her on FOX NEWS quite frequently. I'm not a huge Bill O'Reilly fan. He's too much of a liberal for me. Jim Rome (who covers sports) is harmless yet annoying. Dave Ramsey is a good egg. He provides the expertise needed today for America's personal financial issues. I don't listen to Bohannon much, but when I do, I'm entertained. Don't forget Cigar Dave on the weekends. He knows his stogies! 1230AM is the place for good, solid, intelligent talk radio. They were good then, and better now…read more Before I got satellite radio, they were my favorite, playing music and news during the day and the BBC at night. Now, they are still my favorite. The music is eclectic and amazing. Local people, foreign groups, national favorites. They even occasionally play my quirky faves like the Dead and Southern Culture on the Skids (and of course have the Dead Hour.) I mean, come on: jazz (if you're into that.) Blues. Rock. Country. Salsa. House. Reggae. Celtic. Really, anything you can think of, they will play it eventually, and probably have a specific show devoted to it. Staff have always been cool when I've called in with requests, questions, trying to win tickets (and they're always giving away tickets to great shows.) Also cool when I've met a few in person at their yard sales- you should check those out too, for music, computers, etc. News in the morning and evening. Car Talk and other goofiness on the weekends. Dance shows weekend nights. Interviews during the week (Fresh Air is a national treasure.) Even a cooking show. And, they hooked me on my favorite author with a show they used to have, Radio Reader. Community supported, community driven, community centered. Public radio in general is awesome, and we are lucky to have such a great example. Donate if you can, enjoy listening without commercials even if you can't give.

There's always a greeter right at the door for the events. The main floor has a lot of nice space for moving around, socializing, and participating in activities. Along the hallway is an intriguing history of WOSU, going back to its beginnings with stories about how operators used Morse code to communicate information, through the formation of public television, and more. The TV programming offers a lot of fantastic educational options for kids, in addition to news, local programming, and more. It will be neat when they are able to offer studio tours - we were told those are in the plans for the future!
