I lived at belgrove court for about a year - it was a fantastic place for getting used to the city. I only have great things to say about Jonathan the building manager. He's put up with my many requests (and lost keys..). I highly recommend it.
Pluses:
+ LOCATION: pretty much close to everything. 8,43,47, 49,10,11.. walking distance to downtown, qfc, all the trendy cap hill coffee shops. Best of all kedai & montana are next door
+ Rent: The price for a studio is a rare find. You gotta snatch it up
+ Flexibility: I think the building is managed locally so they have some flexibility & it shows 1) month to month is only 25-50 dollars more after your lease is up, 2) you can move units any time, 3) they are willing to work out a moving arrangement (e.g. waived non refundable deposit) if you do decide to move units, 4) if you move out a couple of days after you say you do, I believe you pay 1.5x the rent for those days vs. the entire next month, 5) you can get money back if you are moving out & your apt is rented before the end of the month
+Manager: Great guy, lives on premise, delivers packages to door
+Layout: it's smart. there's a surprising amount of storage & every inch is designed efficiently
+Has large porch in every unit
+Really aesthetically pleasing entrance hall
+Some units have fantastic views & lots of light
+Secure entry with key fob
+Fast elevator - Abnormally fast. it's actually a blessing
+Incredibly safe place - maybe too safe, see below
Minuses:
-Why is this building so secure? The elevator has locked many of my visitors out bc it works on a rapid timer after you buzz in. There also is not a need to have a stairwell lock
-It's carpet and the age shows a little
-Some units don't have great views..you see trees & building
-As a result, lighting is bad
-Elevator broke when moving out..they are fixing it so hopefully no longer an issue read more
