However, when I arrived, insurance verification still hadn't been completed, and I ended up waiting over 30 minutes with little explanation of what was happening or why. I understand that insurance issues can sometimes be outside a provider's control, but I would have appreciated being looped in -- for example, being asked to call my insurance directly once they ran into difficulty verifying it themselves. Update, one hour after my appointment was set to start they sent a text verifying my insurance would have covered the appointment. Their office manager reached out and apologized for the experience. I did meet with Dr. Julianne who was very helpful at the first appointment. My suggestion would be to call ahead to make sure the checks have been done on insurance etc before you go in for you first appointment.

The office told me they understood and would be providing a refund. "The doctor is working on your refund," they said over the phone when I called to follow up. 9 days later they emailed me to say "there will be no refund and if you fight us on this we will send your bill to collections." Keep in mind I never entered their clinic, never took the covid test, and never saw a provider. They provided zero services or products but insisted on charging me $99. I can't even submit this to my insurance because this appointment never happened. When I submitted this for a dispute through my credit card, this office and the doctor himself emailed me immediately to tell me they will send it to collections if I don't cancel the dispute. Then after seeing my review, they said they would refund me if I took down this review. If you search "urgent care" in Yelp, you will find 100 other urgent care facilities in the area. Go to any of those instead.

I did not feel like just a number, but rather, a patient of many years. Nobody seems to be on the same page, nobody seems to know what is going on, and when you leave a negative review, the owner responds telling you to "call the clinic" even though she is not even there to speak with you or resolve the problem. From my experience, this place is constantly trying to upsell you, push additional treatments, and squeeze more money out of you. I was even threatened with an additional $300 to $500 fee during a dispute, which only made the entire situation feel even more money-driven and unethical. The worst part was the Director of Operations repeatedly trying to sell me peptides through her own side business while she was involved in my treatment. She was pushing peptides that she represented as coming from China and trying to sell them directly to me outside of the clinic. In my opinion, using your position at a medical or wellness clinic to hustle patients into buying products from your personal side business is so fucking unethical. Patients are coming here because they are looking for legitimate medical support, not to become sales leads for someone's private peptide business. Between the constant upselling, the lack of communication, the confusion between staff, the extra fees, and employees pushing outside products, I completely lost trust in this place. I know there are facilities that you can go to, but I wanted to be able to be in my own home, in my own bed, in the surroundings I was familiar with. My doctor's office highly recommended Era Health and Wellness because I was hoping to find a private nurse to come help me in my home. Kitura, the coordinator, immediately contacted me and made arrangements for one of their expert nurses to assist me as well as arranged for all my transportation needs to and from my doctor visits. Kamerina was my nurse. She made sure all my routine was followed as prescribed by my doctor. She did everything you can expect from a nurse at the hospital without the need to wait for immediate attention when you're in pain. This was extremely comforting. She went out of her way to make sure I was not in any stress and even went on errands to pick up prescriptions and meals. Kitura, also even prepared one of my meals, having been trained at a culinary school. This was a special treat for sure. Having put the worst part of my recovery behind me now, I cannot imagine doing it without the help of Kamerina and Kitura. They were incredible!
