Be prepared that there are no TVs in the rooms...just like camping! We stayed on a Saturday night in September and there is a restaurant in the lodge with live entertainment (comedians on this particular night). There is a full bar with several cocktails on the drink menu. The grounds have an obstacle course, horse shoes pits, stage for a concert, access to beach pond, trails, and cabins for camping. There was a fire provided during the day, but we didn't see one at night. It would be nice if each cabin had its own fire ring to have a camp fire/cook in and a large fire pit for community bon fires. I'm sure the new owners have lots of cool plans and will make it happen as they are open to suggestions. This can definitely be s hot spot to have some fun and not worry about driving home.

Again the venue is wonderful the setup was beautiful there was oysters on the half shell and those seem to be very plentiful but we didn't over eat on those we wanted to save for the main meals which was supposed to be halibut Lobster, &scallops. when we got there the menu card added herbed crusted chicken for some reason. Everything was family style, truthfully, the chicken platter had the most plentiful amount of food on it!! Of which I took one piece of chicken breast and whatever vegetables sauteed with it I think they were just mushrooms, my partner took none of the chicken cuz he didn't want to fill up on chicken. The white meat was dry the sauteed vegetables were delicious and when eating with the chicken it was palatable. Then my partner and I got ONE SMALL scallop each, the family style "platter" that came out had FIVE scallops on them so he and I both took one as did the couple across from us and then the last one was taken by another couple next to us which is fine because we share family "platters", those five scallops were not meant just for my partner and I, they were meant for the vicinity of where we were sitting which was 10 of us. I think the long table held about 40 on one side 40 on the other. The lobster, same thing, luckily I got one piece which was a white meat and I split that in half to my partner and it wasn't a lot it was literally, for me, two bites and he got some claws which I never tasted and they were so tiny!! the halibut again small pieces on the family style "platter" I took one he took one and then later he took another one that was still sitting on the platter, I think maybe 6/7 pieces were on that platter. Honestly I've tasted better halibut it was on the dry side unfortunately. So for the money,$150 EACH, we expected family style portions even if they weren't going to be filled after the first time at least give us a family style portion and when the guy across the table from us asked about getting more Lobster the wait staff said "I'll have to see", of course none ever came. When my partner asked if more scallops were coming the wait staff said "I don't think so"... so all in all it was very disappointing for the amount of money we paid per person, we will never do that again or recommend it. His friend either gas lit us or his night of a meat dinner family style "platters" were very significant!!

I put it GF crackers as well. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The caterer who set up was so nice and professional. She quickly set the trays in the chaffing dishes and asked if we needed anything further. We use Beckers for all our catering needs and will continue to do so. I spent yesterday at the Mohegan Sun Bridal expo as both a vendor and bride-to-be. Overall, the expo was much better than any other wedding conventions I've been to. Usually I absolutely hate them but this time around, I actually met a few vendors that I'll keep in mind when my wedding rolls around next year. On the vendor side of things, the Mohegan staff could NOT have been more fantastic to work with. Load-in was seamless with plenty of carts available to transport our setups, and breakdown was a bit chaotic but overall quicker than expected. The organizers provided their cell numbers beforehand and were remarkably helpful and easy to get in touch with. We will definitely participate again next year!

The bathrooms are large, often cleaned, and weirdly I really like the specific type of Scott toilet paper and paper towels they use haha, they're soft and work well. What's making me take off some points are the food options when they cater an event here. The team is so fast and efficient at moving tables in and out, but the meals are a hit or miss for me. My favorite was the Mexican good adjacent rice bowls served for lunch (there was even an Impossible Burger protein option, which I loved as a vegetarian who hates mushrooms - shitakes were another veg protein option for this meal). The no meat egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was also pretty good, and you could tell the egg was real and fresh and fried nicely. The worst meal was the cold cut sandwich bar - maybe my company just made a mistake in ordering this since it really underwhelmed guests and everyone I talked to, but there was no non meat version. When I flagged down a catering staff member to ask if they had anything in the back, he just recommended I eat the grilled carrots on a bun as my sandwich ...ew, what? That's not a meal, and they normally provide a vegetarian option upon request at events like these if nothing is already out on the table. He then talked to his supervisor, a blonde woman in narrow glasses who had a sour facial expression on every time I saw her, and she gave pretty much the same answer. Neither of them pointed out the vegetable soup that was available but hiding on the other side of the room. I eventually found it and it was good although a little too spicy, but nobody else knew it was out either. Service from the food staff leaves room for improvement for sure.

I visited the Fitch House B&B a few times over the past couple of years. It's more than just a Bed…read moreand Breakfast; it's actually a historic landmark that was built in 1836. When visiting there, it feels as if you're travelling back in time to the 1800s. The rooms look classy and timeless, and the beds are super comfortable. The building itself is astonishing and the surrounding land is gorgeous. The breakfast tastes great and is filling. And the wifi is extremely fast. The people that run the place are very nice and accommodating. They make it feel like a home away from home. It's always a peaceful and relaxing experience at the Fitch House. I look forward to visiting again.
