Beautiful venue and great food and drink! I have visited Little Dipper Farm for several of the…read moreField & Feast events from the incomparable team at Stone Row KB out of Willimantic. The space pays homage to the previous business Golden Lamb while adding new flair! From an afternoon tea in the Fall to a Summer celebration; the farm features the idyllic countryside of Eastern CT and rustic chic interior perfect for a special event. The signature locally-sourced small plates and cocktails from Stone Row crew have been excellent, and make the meal more of an evolving experience. Thanks for a lovely time!

Lobster ravioli and lavash with homemade butter are to die for. Coming from Boston, this was worth the trip, I can see this rustic, farm to table culinary EXPERIENCE being the next French Laundry. You can taste how fresh the ingredients are and the passion that the chef and staff have for their craft. Not to mention, the property is breathtaking. It is peaceful farm with a stunning lookout point and lake behind the restaurant. Overall decor is ultra authentic and sourced directly from the chef and staff, or part of the history of the farm. Each dish and each part of the restaurant seems to have a unique story behind it. I would drive the 1.5 hours from Boston, or farther anytime to experience this again!! Shout out to Crystal for taking great care of us and sharing fascinating tidbits about the history of the farm, the food, and how it's made!

From former tree farm to event venue, Wright's is the epitome of bucolic beauty. Winding roads,…read morewaterfalls, stone walls - the best of eastern CT. I came here for a friend's wedding last weekend and it couldn't have been a more perfect setting (OR weather). I didn't see nearly enough of the grounds but what I did see was lovely. They hosted the ceremony in a spectacularly lush wooded area, followed by the reception in a rustic, yet well appointed pavilion. Actual bathrooms instead of portable which was sooo much better! Appreciated the ample parking and quick walk between the parking lot, ceremony site, and reception area. Not sure if all of the weddings are required to use the venue's catering, but the food was solid too!

The new barn venue is beautiful and well designed with all the extra comforts. The event coordinator Bree and all the staff were so professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the whole day. Everyone raved about the food which was plentiful and delicious. The fire pit on the back patio with s'mores along with the nice long porch where the bride and groom had a cigar bar was two favorite hangouts. The waterfall backdrop for the ceremony and landscaping with pond and older barn out buildings made a gorgeous back drop for the pictures! If I could give this tremendous venue 10 stars I definitely would and I highly recommend them for any future brides and grooms big day.

For all brides looking to get married somewhere unique and special in CT look no further than…read moreTyrone Farm. It's privately owed and has been in the MacLaren family for generations. It also has the personal touch so many outdoor venues are lacking in this popular stretch of wedding country. Ian is the sort of person you feel like you could be friends with and is so eager to make your day personal and special, from getting the right balance and setting for the event to recommending a wealth of local vendors to work with for your wedding day (caterers, hair and make up, transportation, etc). They only do one wedding at the farm a day and in quieter months sometimes only a weekend a weekend. An added bonus is that there is a guest cottage onsite (additional cost) which can sleep up to 10+ people so it's the ideal destination spot, especially if you're looking to host the bridal party or an extended family. The best part about Tyrone Farm is that everything is taken care - you don't need to worry about renting chairs, or tents, everything from a furniture and fixture perspective is included in the price (there is an additional fee if you want to host your ceremony here which I'd highly advise). Tyrone Farm is highly eco-friendly from the solar panel field to the water system in the cottage. Even if you're not an green geek it's nice to know your special day isn't causing unnecessary harm to the environment. Our wedding is on August 6 - I'll post an updated review then but in the meantime if you're recently engaged, looking for a venue in CT and want something unique, outdoors and truly special check out Tyrone Farm.

From the very "New England country" reception barn to the cottage, 170 bucolic acres and wonderful staff, it was an excellent place to witness the nuptials of two close friends.
