Went for lunch as a 5 adult party. This "eaterie" was very clean, and well laid, except that there is not a lot of room to manoeuvre between the tables. My wife and I went for the 3 Fish Platter with seasonal veg. Sadly, the fish was overcooked and the veg, not only very sparse, was quite "stringy". A well stocked bar, except for Guiness, if you fancy it. Parking, on street but very limited....there is also a paid car park very close. Enjoyed a pretty decent local cheese plate here featuring a Wild Garlic Jarg (tasty but not very wild or garlicy) a Cornish Blue and a St Emilion Brie (does not sound too local). The cheeses were all good but none wowed me Drinks here are good with a range of skinners and Rattlers. My berry rattler seemed to be a good accompaniment..nice. Little bit expensive. Small cafe in Charlestown harbour near St Austell. We popped in for a quick lunch and enjoyed a good sandwich/drinks service. The sandwiches however were a bit too much like doorsteps to me, difficult to pick up and eat. Other clients seem to be enjoying some hot food. I would use it again though I know the nearby Pier House has a good reputation. This place is handy to see the two tall ships in the harbour (formerly used for shipping out china clay) and the nearby Shipwreck museum wa salso worth a visit. read more

Just got back from Cornwall, & we celebrated my birthday here. In Charlestown, near saint Austell, this brasserie does everything to a bite to eat, a meal or a cocktail or three! Well the food is amazing, big portions for the hearty, very expensive, but is was worth it. The staff are very friendly, & helpful. The only slight downside,was the fact the service was a little too fast! Unfortunately they don't give much time between courses, but we did enjoy our evening! read more
