We managed to get a table inside, and decided on light snack of a teacake and to sample the Tregothnan tea (Cornish tea). The peppermint tea was light and refreshing, just perfect for a hot summer's day. The kitchen inside was a hive of activity, as more and more people descended on the tea rooms. We would have liked to sample more of the menu, but sadly we had a long journey ahead of us that day, but there's always the next time we visit Boscastle!

I was only in Newquay for half a day and I went there three times.. and I was on a strict diet, no treats or sugary food but walking down the Newquay high street and seeing this small little shop I couldn't help myself.. it's like a little curiosity shop that you can't help but enter. Crisp from the outside, nice and tender on the inside - perfect! My partner opted for the duck breast with veg and potatoes and extremely enjoyed it. The dessert topped our expectations even more. The chocolate delice and the cheesecake were both an excellent choice. The drinks menu offers everything you need and the staff is very kind and friendly. And a cute space in a good location, friendly and laid-back barista, and wonderful-smelling bags of coffee all around the shop. Oh, and a bottle of tap water provided on the table! The only problem with this place is that it's in Falmouth instead of London, so I won't visit as often as I'd like.
