Driving up to this location, I was shocked. I've probably driven by here hundreds of times, but I've never stayed here. The property is not well lit at night, but it is Maryville so it is quiet. Walking into the main "lobby" to check-in I was greeted by this nice older gentlemen and the strong smell of dinner cooking. It was curry, which I love. I learned from the gentleman that this is not only a local, family owned establishment, but that the family lives upstairs! It was nice to chat with them as I checked in. The room I reserved was a single king bed, and a smoke free room. As soon as I opened the door, the smell of must and cigarettes hit me strongly. I bought one of those odor absorbent air fresheners to help. Regardless of that smell, the room was quite clean, albeit cheaply made. The bed was comfortable enough. The room didn't come with any amenities. There is no gym, no pool, no bar, and no breakfast (continental or otherwise.) However, they do allow people travelling with pets. There are TONS of different improvements I'd like to see at this location, including some basic aesthetics. If all you're looking for is a quiet place to lay your head at night, then this might be the place. Forewarn, I did feel the stay is a bit overpriced in comparison to similar motels. You can pay less for something like Motel 6. Some suggestions I have for this Inn, which I desperately hope will begin to thrive, are as follows. Offer breakfast! Whether you decide to do a standard continental breakfast buffet, offer pastries and fruit, or make some homemade food from family recipes, offering a morning snack is nice touch for your guests! A smoke free room should be as such. Make sure those rooms do not smell, as smell indicates the residue from tobacco hasn't really left. Redecorating! Your lobby is not welcoming. Some matching furniture, design, repainting, etc. Basic improvements in the rooms.

It was absolutely perfect. I might add that the up lighting surrounded the entire venue, not just the dance floor and stage, making it much more cohesive. Allegro Entertainment providing a package for our October 30, 2015 wedding that included DJ…read moreservices, 10 up-lighting, and Two Chix and a Booth Photo Booth. We were very happy with Allegro and the DJ (he has a lot of spunk and was very accommodating to our requests). Allegro is the only vendor that we used for our entire wedding that I can confidently say was timely, they more so chased us to fill out "homework packets" etc. which was the complete opposite experience we had with every other vendor we chose. This can be a positive or negative trait, but in this instance when a couple wishes to "square away" their plans, payments, etc. it is nice to have a company that is good at checking in with the Bride and Groom. Allegro Entertainment was also affordable and the promotional packages they offer and really quite great. Our blue up-lighting really pulled our wedding decor together and we were very pleased with Two Chix and a Booth as well.

What a cliche to say that I wish I could give this place zero stars. In fact, I want other people to rate this shithole, and take away those stars because they deserve negative stars. Please. If this is the only event space that your budget can accommodate, then just cancel your event because your guests do not deserve to suffer this horror. We walked in and the first thing that hit me was the musty basement smell. (I am talking about my basement, which is unfinished and regularly floods. If your basement is finished and properly maintained, it likely smells a lot better than this banquet hall and I am sorry to insult your home.) It could have just not been aired out in preparation of our event, or the nasty, raggedy carpet, or the vents whose filters have clearly never been changed. It was hard to tell because it was so dimly lit you really couldn't see too much of anything, which was probably a good thing. I mean, it was just so gross it made me want to repeatedly wash my hands, but not there. But we sat down in the hard folding chairs at the school-cafeteria-type tables covered with plastic tablecloths (not the durable kind you wipe off, but the dollar-party-store kind that look like garbage bags, but more flimsy), and waited for the food to come out. And waited for the food to come out. And waited for the food to come out. As it turns out, the food was set up half an hour late because of a storm. Yes, you read that right. This banquet hall has no plan in place by which attendees can still be fed inside, when the weather is bad outside. You can imagine we were all pretty hungry by the time the buffet line opened, which is the only reason just about any guest at all ate that HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE food. I am talking about green beans out of a can. Not green beans out of a can, then seasoned and other ingredients added. I mean, just dumped out of the can into a chafing dish. Instant mashed potatoes (really? Outside the army?), with canned/jarred gravy. Overcooked to mush mostacciolli with dreadful sauce. And dry, dry, dry chicken. It wasn't just me. Everyone in attendance commented on the poor quality of food. Some even compared it to public school lunches. I can only guess that this hall was chosen because it could offer a cheaper price than others that the host contacted. If this is true, this is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for." Though if they charged anything at all, they are stealing from people. Maybe it was hard to research because they have no Yelp reviews, so let me perform the public service of being the first: RUN FAR, FAR AWAY!
