So now friends are UFC'n this superfluous review/update????? Please read the original and comp there, okay cuz WOVA deserves the love! read more

have been in the event production industry for over 15 years, and working with this AV team has truly been a breath of fresh air. I never once had to worry about whether something would get done -- the communication was clear, consistent, and professional throughout. Jackson was extremely responsive and professional with me, and that level of care and attention clearly reflects the leadership of the owner, Ben, who is always available, supportive, and committed to his team. Their strong communication and reliability made the entire process seamless, and my clients were incredibly pleased with how smoothly everything ran. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable and professional team. read more

For many years now, our first go-to vendor when it comes to supplying lights, sound, and production for our live events has been Wova. As CEO of Absolute Live Productions, my name is Dave Rosen and I speak from experience when I say that Wova has always provided us with the highest level of service and professionalism. Not only have they always been on time, but their teams have always been accommodating and went above and beyond at each job. They also use only the best equipment available, allowing us to deliver outstanding shows with confidence knowing that everything will run smoothly. We've enjoyed working with them so much that we're looking forward to many future collaborations. It's clear that Wova takes great pride in their work, and quite simply put: they just knock it out of the park every time! read more

I dropped off some tapes to be digitized and made in DVDs about a week before Christmas last year. I was told because of holidays it would take a few weeks. That was fine. That mean mid to late January it should've been done. I heard nothing by end of January and contacted them. They said a few more weeks. Ok. I tried back in February. I was told they haven't even started and we're over loaded and it would be ready in March. I got my stuff 2 full months after estimated time. Unacceptable. They didn't seem to feel too bad about it. I checked the discs when I got home and I am disappointed by the quality of the picture. Maybe something got lost in the condensing of them? In any case, I have another stack of tapes to get digitized and I'll be going elsewhere in the future. These discs are for my family. They were suppose to be late Christmas gifts. *** UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO WOVA I appreciate the apology and remorse. But what I would've liked even more is to feel like you guys respected and cared more about your clients. How? Well I was told three weeks and we'll contact you. Neither happened. By week 2 you probably knew my order wasn't going to be ready on time. You could have contacted me (instead of me trying to chase down information) and given me an opportunity for choices, such as coming to get my stuff and bring it elsewhere or letting you hang on to it to work on it until whenever. That would've been honest, respectful, responsive. The person I was in contact with, Lonnie, kept telling me different dates, was difficult to get a response from and even Made a stupid joke about my name which I didn't appreciate. I hope WOVA leans from mistakes. Very few businesses seem to. read more

I wanted an outdoor screening of Jaws for my boyfriend's surprise birthday party-- but had no idea where to begin because I'm not a tech person at all. Justin was SO HELPFUL on the phone. One quick phone call and we were booked! My boyfriend was in heaven. The set up looked so cool. George set it up swiftly, he was such an expert. Of course I pushed the wrong buttons 100 times, couldn't get it working, called Justin and he resolved my mess up over the phone at 8:30pm on a Saturday. STELLAR TEAM. Can't wait to use them for my next event. read more

WOVA came through and helped us out with some sound equipment. There professionalism is unrivaled. Lonnie and Derrick are a pleasure to work with. We will definitely use them again at the Formosa cafe ! Thanks gents read more

While I found them during a rare GroupOn endeavor, WOVA has been around 30 years -- maybe more. (And while my 6 month certificate had recently elapsed, WOVA gladly still honored it.) I had some dusty VHS' to transfer to DVDs, and they did a very good job. Good location and pretty good hours (though be sure to call if you're coming in on Saturday end of their day). After buying my GroupOn, however, I did find another place, out of state, with a better rate. Sort of apples and oranges, because I transfer that to Hard Drives (which WOVA can certainly do, too.) But for local, quality work done super quick, WOVA is great. read more

Excellent service all around. I'm a first time customer and will definitely use them again. The communication with everyone I dealt with was perfectly on point and very helpful. Delivery and set up with David was excellent. There was no 'window' of delivery. They said 3:30 delivery and David was prompt and on time. I rented some whiteboards for an event that saved me several thousand dollars vs buying them. They were great quality and perfect for what was needed. read more

I could not have had a better experience then with this terrific company! Both Marco and especially Justin with whom I spent most of the time on the phone with, we're so helpful and patient on making sure we got the necessary equipment to do a church screening for our film. Without any hesitation I recommend them. I will certainly go back for their exceptional professional service. Thanks so much gentlemen!! George read more

The team here at WOVA was amazing helping me get a very sentimental video converted off a cassette tape to digital version. They were kind, attentive and honest. For anyone in the LA area looking for these types of services, I would recommend WOVA 10 out of 10 times. Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart! I can now have this video of my loved ones forever! read more

WOVA is WONDERFUL. It's all about the people. Called yesterday afternoon with an urgent request for a quick-turnaround job. From that phone call through to the end when I picked up my duplicates, to a man, every gentleman I interacted with was courteous, patient, attentive, accommodating and professional. I entrusted to them precious edit masters. My materials were handled with care and they did a top-notch job with my transfers. I don't believe I met Ben, the owner of the company. He ought to know that he is extremely well-represented by his colleagues who served me above and beyond... (give those boys a raise :) I have every confidence that I will continue to receive caring, excellent service from the gentlemen at WOVA. Guys, you should be so very proud of yourselves for being the fine folks that you are. Kudos. read more

Great service and friendly people! I called in a few days before our event to rent a 50" TV with a pole stand.Chris was extremely helpful over the phone and emailed quotes for various sizes. WOVA offers the best and most competitive prices compared to other video/audio rentals in the area (some were almost double what they were offering). Setup and pick-up went exactly as planned. They gave us a few adapters just in case we needed them. Thanks guys! read more

I've been using WOVA for years to transfer old media to digital and they have never let me down. Lonnie is great to work with and the staff is friendly. The turnaround time is quick. What a great experience! I work for a global tech company based in Switzerland, http://picturepark.com and we required a large plasma monitor and stand for an expo that was being held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. I found WOVA through a google search, read some reviews and then called. All of the employees I spoke to were extremely friendly and helpful. In particular Benjamin, who finalized our order and followed up via email and phone to ensure we were all set. Additionally, Paul was top notch in his service and delivery of the specified products to the venue. They were patient and polite through the whole experience. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for audio or visual needs in the LA area...very personable, with great service (something we've found hard to find in LA) Thanks guys!! read more

Lonnie is fantastic. I've working with him before and so glad that I know the work will be done fast and professionally. WOVA is my go to place for transferring. Highly recommended. read more

Absolutely the best. Competitive Prices. Extremely Fast Service. I really cannot give enough praises to Colin and the team at WOVA. After two minutes on the phone, WOVA was ready to PICK UP MY TAPES, and processed them in only a couple hours. It was so quick and easy I really thought I was dreaming. The whole process was so much easier than the fiasco that occurred everal days ago when I turned in some footage to a company to have it digitized, and after three emails and two phone calls, could not get ahold of anyone to specify a change in my needs. When I finally tracked them down, they hadn't even begin to process my footage. read more

I needed a big monitor screen for an event at a local cafe and Justin really offered the best deal of three top local vendors. I was most impressed that he called me back because I lost his contact info. Chris, the technician who brought the equipment was courteous and very good at what he does. True to their promise, the whole system was mounted in 30 minutes and removed promptly at the time designated. Hands down I will be calling them again for future events. read more

I've used WOVA for three different purposes, and each time they came through beautifully. The first was a PAL to VHS transfer, which not many places do. It was a rare old movie that came out beautifully. Next I had a run of DVDs of one of my own films, which went well. With other houses, I've often had quality control problems, but so far the DVDs have been flawless. The third was a rental of a DVD monitor, speakers and a screen for my son's wedding, so that I could show a short film I'd made for the occasion. WOVA gave me a good rate and delivered and set up the equipment beforehand. The next day they came and got it. There were absolutely no problems. I would recomment WOVA to anyone. I intend to do all my duplication there in the future. read more

I wish I could give this place 6 stars. Provided me with a VHS to DVD transfer for about 1/2 the price in about 1/10th the time as any one else in Hollywood was offering. The end product was perfect and the guys in the shop were super nice. If you have to convert your old videos to DVD, don't even bother shopping around. GO HERE! read more

I googled up and saw WOVA. Read everything about them on Yelp. I came and turned in my 2 mini DV tapes. And they were going to charge me about $40. So I left there happily. Next day they emailed me that they made an error and will charged me $150 or something because the 2 tapes were HDV, not DV. I was pissed. I pleaded them to give me some discount. And they said okay, they will charged me $80 instead. YAY!!! So I picked up the DVD and the 2 tapes and paid them $80 cash. Wow. The video on the DVD was in GB, Film looks great. read more

They did our wedding and they were so professional and so easy to work with...they designed our dream wedding! We used them for holiday lighting this year for our home and they worked so quickly and made our house look magical to the point that all our family and friends and neighbors were complimenting us! Now that we have worked with them, we will use them for our catering business for future events! read more

Terrible service and 50% of the speakers delivered worked. Once mentioned to Justin he instantly threatened our team and attempted to charge our credit card without approval. Will never us them again! Please beware everyone :( read more

I've been using different companies around L.A. for transferring old films and tapes to DVD and QuickTime files and luckily I found WOVA driving to a client's house and searching what was nearby on Yelp. Their customer service is professional and friendly. Nathan is very knowledgeable and capable of transferring practically anything you bring them. Jennifer, at the front desk, is very courteous and professional. They get the job done!!!!!!!! read more

Had an old cassette from the late 1970s transferred to a USB. Was very happy with the quality. Will definitely use WOVA again.

Their services were excellent, everything was delivered timely, the quality of the monitors was above what we had originally ordered, and the event was super successful. We hope we will continue to work with them in the future. read more

Used WOVA for a red carpet and step & repeat with lighting for a movie premiere party. They were great -- worked with us on the price, professional set up and strike, and it looked great. All went very easy and smooth. Charles was also incredibly helpful -- we had a last minute location change and weren't sure of our A/V needs until just a few days before. No matter the need, Charles had a solution and I'm incredibly appreciate of how flexible he was with us. Will definitely use them again. read more

I was basically volun-told to organize a presentation for 30 people and I would have bombed without the help of Ben and the staff at WOVA. I thought I just needed to rent a projector and screen, however through the process of talking with them I realized speakers and a microphone were definitely needed as well. The company I got a quote from before speaking to WOVA didn't think to make sure I had these vital components, so the mere act of talking through my needs literally saved me from a disaster on the day of the meeting. Not only that, but they saved me money by helping me choose the right type of projector, projector screen, and amp for the audience and room size. On the day of the event they came to set everything up and took everything down - this saved me from any additional stress seeing as I was already maxed out with coordinating everything else that day. I would absolutely recommend WOVA to anyone planning an event - novice or expert - these guys know how to treat a customer from start to finish! read more

Had a wonderful experience here transferring a bunch of vhs tapes to dvds. Worked with Lonnie who quoted me a price (which I was fine with) but then let me know that he had accidentally over charged me and gave me an even better rate. That kind of honesty shows how professional this business is and it was greatly appreciated. read more

What an amazing team to work with! When setting up a recent event, I often called WOVA for random questions and everyone I spoke to was both helpful and knowledgeable. And when it came down to the day of my event, the team that they sent out was a dream to work with. I recently used WOVA for a 300 person charity event and WOVA handled my lighting, sound and audio. They are such a pleasure to work with and I will definitely use them in the future for all of my audio, visual and lighting needs. read more

Ben and his team at WOVA are detail oriented. If you need the best of the best, call Ben. He is true to his word and his work is impeccable.
