As someone without a lot of cash but who needs consistency and reliability, mechanics like this are a godsend. To their credit, they were replaced for free. However, it happened 2 more times after that. This last time the car sat there for 4 weeks. No phone calls, zero communication other than when I would call for an update. Each time they said they will get to it next day. Nope, nothing for a whole month. I finally went to pick it up (unfixed) and was lied to about the car. They said they'd been driving it to keep it running, but the battery was completely shot. Now the car still isn't fixed, had to buy a new battery since they let it sit for so long. 0/10 would not recommend if you actually want a solution to your car problems.

A few years back, struggling massively to find someone to do a required MO Car Inspection, they really stepped up and helped out even though they were booked. More recently, my wife's car was pulling really badly and we thought it would be more than an alignment, maybe an axle or worse. Nope, just an alignment ($100) and much-needed new tires. While their tire quote was a bit higher than say, a big box store, I wanted to go with them for a few reasons. One, they're local and had been very helpful. Two, like many things these days, there was a shortage of tires due to shipping issues and whatnot, so why not knock it out? They also have done a nice, thorough job of looking over other potential car issues without being pushy at all, just as a diagnostic and heads up. One more big thing that makes this a natural spot for me: It's along the Trolley Trail, right by a city bike rental stand. Got more than an hour to kill? Ride to Waldo or Brookside for a cup of coffee. For me, I can even take it home and don't have to coordinate a ride to/from. Good spot overall that I recommend. It might be a few percentage points pricier than some I've been to, but worth it for all the reasons mentioned above.

I had to wait for my car to get worked up 4 hours later which I came in super early like at 9 in the hopes that my car was going to get finished in an hour but again like I said. It somewhat was more of a walk in schedule in and get it worked up there and then so I see why it took longer than I expected. If I were to leave my car there and come back at a later time it would make sense they get it done at the time given. It's more first come first serve . They already had like 15 other customers ahead of me which is why it took longer so don't expect your car to get done in an hour like I did. My car, like many cars that are on the market today, has tons of bells and whistles, so adding a battery means doing a reset and reprogram. Guess what? I don't have the tools or the knowledge on how to do that. Could I change a battery many years ago? Absolutely! Could I change a battery now? No way... That's why I needed someone with the tools, the know-how, and the availability. I put in a request via Yelp to get a project started, and Prymo was the first to respond and had availability the next morning. They sent a tech to my house, he quickly diagnosed that the battery had no charge left, even though I had a jump the day before, and he commenced replacement. I didn't have to do anything other than do what I usually do, which is work from home. Fast-forward a half-hour and the job was done. I had a new battery, the tech had reprogrammed everything to its proper state, and he was on his way. Prymo accepts debit and credit, though a credit card purchase will come with a 3% charge, which is very fair since that's what the banks stick to the business. It wasn't cheap, but most of the cost was in the actual battery itself, which came with a five-year warranty. Great response, simple to navigate and schedule, and the tech was professional and skilled. Great experience and highly recommend if you're in the same situation.
