She was looked after right away but he was left with his feet in cold water for almost an hour while several walk ins were serviced immediately. They finally got back to him and did his pedicure and manicure. There were 4 girls working and the walkins should have waited their turn. If there were appointments prebooked then my daughter and her bf should have been told that there were appointments in the timeframe when they arrived and asked for mani pedis. Honestly we won't be going back there because of this. Very disappointed.

I found Allure Nail Bar online after I was searching for a nail salon that did similar techniques…read moreto a "russian manicure" (where they use a drill bit to carefully file your cuticles). They did an amazing job, but after pushing back my cuticles and filing them, my cuticles were still there so I asked them to cut them off. This extra step counted as a manicure so it was an extra $12 charge? Which, okay fine.. but it just added to the cost of everything. For a gel refill (+2 nail fixes since they popped off from my first appt), plus design, plus covid PPE costs, & tip, it came up to almost $150! I don't understand how people can keep getting their nails done with these prices. I was okay paying for it since I needed PERFECT nails for my wedding - and I am BEYOND happy with the outcome, but the price is keeping me from going back unless for a special occasion. (The first time I went for a full set of gel nails & 1 colour with sparkle on top came up to $90 with tip).. so almost double the price if I went to a basic nail salon. You do get what you pay for, but again, not sure how people can keep up with these prices. I would still definitely recommend going to Allure Nail Bar. All the staff are friendly, clean up after each client, and know how to execute your nail look 100%.

The young ladies working at this nail salon are nice, friendly, and talented at nail art. I have gone here two times in the past three months for my bridal shower and wedding. I have been happy with my past two visits. I'm on my third week of having gel polish and it hasn't even chipped! Some things to note - make sure to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. In April there was a ice storm and I asked to reschedule due to the poor road conditions. However, they said there would be a charge the next time I came back. I ended up going because I didn't want to be charged. I know it's a business but there should be some leniency when the weather is really bad. If you get a manicure they don't charge for polish removal. If you write a review you'll get 15% off (I think...or it's 10% off). Looking forward to my next visit this week!

Yesterday, I decided to switch to regular polish. I agree to pay the fee for the removal of shellac, but the woman didn't completely remove it, I could still see the color from the shellac on some parts of my nail and I asked her to please, put more acetone to remove and she said no because it took a long time and that the nail polish was going to hide it. Yes, it will hide it, but I wanted the shellac to be completely removed since I am paying for that. Anyways, Here are images where you can see the shellac under the regular polish. Terrible job and a terrible attitude from her. Never going back.

Having said that, I've only had good experiences since so I'll chalk it up to that lady maybe having a bad day. Overall, Century seems clean and the ladies are very sweet. I have gone in with an appointment and also without (only had to wait for a few minutes). This spot has become my go to if I need a quick mani and/or pedi as it is super close to my work. He made every single nail uneven, and when i called him out on it he said someone can fix them... as if they can make my nails grow in the span of 5 minutes. They mentioned my nails were supposed to look like this and in the 10 years i've been doing them, not once have they ever looked this gross. They over charge and suck at basic shaping. There is a group of very attentive young ladies that work here. They always remember their regulars and pay attention to special requests. I've also brought my mother in law who is diabetic and they took extra special care of her. They have never cut me while trimming cuticles which is something I can't say for other salons.
