If I could leave a zero I would and it goes to costumer service. The girl at the cash register could not have been more rude. We had an item that did not have a price tag on it and told her that it was the only one we could find in the store. With a rude attitude she told us, we need a similar item to ring it up. We patiently waited. When the item could not be found by another employee, again with negative attitude she told us she could not sell it to us because she did not have the sku number. Little did she know I had already looked it up online and had the sku number available. At the end the item was sold to us with the sku number I provided to her from their online website. I know you could have done this yourself and shame on you. This goes to management, please do better. We have more class than to make a scene, but the treatment was so uncalled for. read more

Not exactly a substitute for jetting off to exotic lands and shopping there, but World Market is still a fun store--you can totally lose way too much time just wandering around in the aisles. World Market has kitchenware, edibles and drinkables (including beer and wine), clothes, cards, gifts, and home decor from several corners of the globe. The kitchen stuff and food areas are probably my favorites. Prices seem pretty fair, and there are usually a lot of items on sale too. One problem I noticed it that there can be traffic backed up at the registers. World Market could do a better job of opening up more checkout lanes if a bunch of shoppers want to pay at the same time. There is a frequent shopper program called World Market Explorer Rewards which looks like it offers coupons and other rewards. Parking is plentiful since it's Tiger Town. Look for World Market between Target and Kroger, next to Hobby Lobby. read more

This Cost Plus World Market location definitely slacks off compared to other locations in Atlanta that I have visited. The main reason I am giving this place such a horrible rating is because of the Golden Cracker Christmas treasure hunt. First, I will explain what I mean by this. This is an event these stores have every November, where they hide 4 crackers at a time around the store and give a hint. Usually, they are fairly easy to find and you bring it to an associate for a $20, $50, or $100 store gift card only valid for that day. They have 2 games in a day. 4 crackers are hidden during each. One is from Opening-12, the other is from 1-close. I easily found one of the crackers at another location. The hint was "hidden next to something that starts with a D," I quickly found it on top of a vase shaped like a donut. Very fun. I told my family in Auburn about this activity, knowing that they had a location. They went two separate times and never found the crackers. When I was in town, I figured I'd give this location a try. Today's hint was "Hidden next to something clear." I decided to first make a loop around the whole store, then look more closely in the glass aisles and by the "Clear"let Canadian waters. After over 45 minutes of looking I found nothing. And it's not just me. There were about 20 people in the store looking, and none of the 4 had been found during that time. The college kids that work here must hide these things very trickily. I find it a little ridiculous that no one finds anything after over an hour. They need to make this easier for people to find. And I was really looking through everything. I'm convinced that they aren't even putting them out at this location, and they just put the signs up to draw in customers. This location is a ripoff, and the cashier was very cranky when I was purchasing a Clearly Canadian sparkling water. Stay away from this store! read more

The customer service at this location is SO GOOD. Our cashier was very friendly, careful, and patient. When we left, we realized we'd paid full price for items we thought were on sale. We called and went back to the store, and the manager took care of this issue very quickly. read more

Great customer service with furniture purchase. For a very reasonable fee they assembled the furniture and loaded on truck.

Today i went into world market in Opelika, Alabama and bought a case of Canadian clear, i had no idea where the bottles where located i asked for help and wait for it i got amazing assistance the guy who helped me didnt rush me anwsered all my questions and let me build my own case he let me open unopened packages to form my perfect box. I told him he has a customer for life from this point on. This product was something i had as a child in portland, Oregon no other store in the south sells this. He even explained that only 2 stores in the whole world carries this product i am so impressed i never caught his name but he was so friendly and helpful read more

World Market is a really cool store for a lot of international (and not so international) items. They have a really great wine selection from a lot of different countries. Most a pretty reasonably priced, which comes in handy if you're a poor college kid or you're just learning what kind of wines you might like. But there are also some high end wines for special occasions or if you are a wine connoisseur. There is a good variety of international foods and candies, so if you're looking for something specific or want to try something new, this is a good place to start your search. They also always have a lot of cool holiday items: food, wine, and decorations. read more

I went to World Market in hopes that I would find furniture for my new apartment and I definitely did! I ended up getting a coffee table, a desk, and a couch. Unfortunately, this couch didn't fit in my car and I don't know anyone in the area with a large enough truck to help me transport the couch. Luckily, Kevin, the general manager, offered to transport the couch for me in his truck. This was obviously extremely above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough! I love my new furniture and couldn't have gotten it home without the amazing staff at this world market! read more

That staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. I loved the selection of food from all over the world, it reminded me of some of my best vacations; waffles from Holland, biscotti from Italy, cookies from France. Yeah, lived the store and I need to shop here more often. They also have a very nice selection of wines. I can't wait to taste my purchases. read more

I've always been a huge fan of World Market, but after moving to the Auburn-Opelika area, I realize that I'll probably be shopping here much more than I have in the past! Living in Texas got me spoiled with Central Market, and, though there's nothing identical in this area, at World Market I can still manage to pick up some hard-to-find items. They have a great selection of wines, craft beers, and - my favorite - international goodies, and that's just the grocery section. You can also find French-milled soaps and lotions, earthy and rustic home decor, kitchenware, gifts, and furniture. I buy a lot of hip, sort-of bohemian-style jewelry, headbands, and other accessories here. The prices are great, and they offer a reward program that is free to join. What I especially noticed and loved about this location in particular is that staff is so kind and attentive. I wandered in one morning earlier this week, and I had four different associates not just greet me, but really go out of their way to grab me a basket or make sure that I was finding everything easily. The only reason I'm rating this a 4 and not a 5 is because I feel like this location, while exceeding my customer service expectations, doesn't have quite as large of a selection, nor does it seem to be as well-organized, as other World Market locations I've been.
