I recently visited World Market for the first time in a year or two and need to update my review. They've upped their game when it comes to snacks, especially Japanese snacks and food from Asian countries. You'll also find sodas and soft drinks from around the world as well as NA options along with the usual beer and wine. You can place an online order and they will hold the items up front for you to pick them up, which is a great feature- but I've already returned since my last visit and love just wandering around and seeing what's new. Holidays are big here; it's September but Christmas is already everywhere. You can find almost every ornament imaginable here. They have a lot of Halloween merchandise too, so they're not getting ahead of themselves with the holidays. The customer service at the register was great and multiple registers were open- I also saw staff on the sales floor who could answer questions or help me find things. Glad to see this store is well stocked and well staffed. read more

Oh, I love this place so! If you enjoy international delights, this is the place to go. It's not necessarily the cheapest, but it does have some great goodies. I really like the selection of English treats. I went in to see some furniture. They have a great selection of unique pieces; different colors, alternative designs, and focal point pieces. I absolutely love it. They had their sale along right now and it was definitely worth making a trip there. read more

This is always a nifty place to lose an hour in. With fun finds from around the globe, you can't go wrong. There are always quirky & fantastic pillows for all occasions and decors. Interesting treats to eat and creative seats and places for your feet! Where can you find a sushi roll pillow, a sunny side up egg shaped dish, a Tibetian prayer bowl, a Hello Kitty mug, Jammie Dodgers from the UK & tarragon with lemon infused olive oil under one roof? None other than World Market, of course! read more

I love world market, especially during the holidays like Easter for all of the British Easter eggs and Christmas for the Christmas crackers Mince Pies and Christmas pudding, yum. I bought four boxes of mince pies but couldn't resist and ate two boxes and it isn't yet Christmas. It doesn't matter if there is a holiday they have something special for everyone. read more

This place is wonderful for anything international. I love coming here for different style gifts. Also has a great selection of advent calendars during the holiday season. In November, you can play a game where you find a golden ticket in the store and only the first six people to find one will win a prize of a percentage off. During the holidays, the lines can be long, but the workers are always so friendly. read more

I had never been in the store before and I absolutely fell in love! It's sort of like if TJ Maxx and pier one imports had a magical love Child! Be prepared to spend lots of money! They have all kinds of cool sections, including a cool food section from all over the world. I really liked their discounted section a lot and I found some really cool fun things in there! It's a beautifully put together store. That's very clean and beautifully presented. Be prepared to become addicted! read more

Now well past COVID I am still using the online shopping that I pick up in the store. I often get great coupons for full price items and that's what I recently used for a full price Christmas Door Mat that I got 20% Off! The people in the store are also super helpful and positive, which is a feat considering the thousands of fun things in that store that must be a headache to keep up with! read more

Great product selection and quality! The prices can be a bit high, so I always buy when there is a sale or I have a reward to redeem.

Great variety of products, and the employees were all so helpful! Especially Ginger, I think she is a manager? She spent extra time with us to insure we got what we wanted at the best price:) read more

Made two stops at this Strip mall and this store was one of them, lots of stuff from all over and I really had to just do some browsing in a hurry before I indulged in a lot of goodies. Love the marzipan and the Pear and Chocolate traditional Italian cake. I think I got enough marzipan to last me till the end of the year. Mozart's are great, a little pricy this year but they melt in your mouth. The cashier was very nice, friendly and professional, will return when in the area. read more

We went in to look at rugs. We found one we liked but it was the last one. The guy ( I'm so sorry that I forgot his name) went above and beyond to help us and we ended up with the rug. It really was the best and most sincere service that I can remember having. 5 stars he deserves a raise read more

World Market is a great store to browse and shop. Rarely do I actually go here for something I need, but instead I like stopping by to see what I think I need. Well, actually impulsively need, right. They do have a nice selection of bar stools, and other furniture. There are other home decor items here that change with season and Worldly themed. But the funnest part is to check out the food section. Chocolate lover? Watch out, so many choices! Then coffees, honey, chips, pastas, and so much more. Plus they have beer & wine! World Market is a fun store to shop, and they have a friendly staff. Go shop! read more

World Mkt is such a fun place to shop. I always find a new treasure to take home. Their international food section is full of unique finds. The Biscotti Cookie butter they sell is amazing. The store is always clean and organized. The staff are super friendly and always helpful. On my most recent visit I found a decent Bourbon Barrel wine - Old Woodhouse for $7.99. I rolled the dice and bought a case. I am happy to say it was pretty good. Not the best BB wine I have had but well worth the price. We always seem to have some coupon deal so in addition to the good buys the added % off with a coupon makes your new found treasures an even better deal. Looking forward to my next WM adventure. read more

I've only been in this store two times. I am blown away. Their selection is so awesome. You can get anything from wine to furniture to snacks. The furniture is awesome and very eclectic. At the time I went, I was t looking for anything in particular but when I need something - I'm going to stop here first! Super friendly staff. All working hard and knowledgeable! Will definitely be back! read more

I love making the drive from Mt. Pleasant to West Ashley for World Market. They always have trendy items, perfect for home decorating or as gifts. They have wonderful paper products, like cards and bags and wrapping paper, which I'm a total sucker for. Their home decor is also beautiful, though the price is high, so I'm not sure I could ever afford to decorate a room (including bathroom) let alone a whole house with their goods. I love the selections of beer; you can make your own 6 pack, and they sell boxes of local Charleston craft beer (one of each beer, I think 9-12 beers total for $14), which I love to pick up and keep on hand as gifts for folks. They also have fun snacks from other countries, like Japan, Thailand, India, etc. Consider "becoming a member" for free by providing your phone number so you can get the perks. Today, we had 30% off all beer purchases. Hell yeah! read more

Sometimes you can find wine here that Total Wines may not have. A great selection of just about everything from all over, from rugs to furniture to candy, to crackers. You just have to take your time in this store. I found a wine glass to replace one of mine that in broke. You will find things in this store that you didn't know you needed. Frank G read more

World Market always has cool stuff that can make your home or living situation a little better. I really like their wine and drink selection of different bottles from around the world. The furniture selection is also a highlight as there never seems to be enough places to sit at once and it good to avoid musical chairs when you have guests over. I like the smell of this store as well as you can smell the scents of products from around the world in one place. Overall this store is well run and one of my favorites. read more

My. Favorite. Store. In. The. Entire. World. I live in Connecticut and regularly lament the fact that we do not have a World Market. In all honesty, it's probably a good thing as I would a) quit my well-paying job to work retail or b) spend my entire paycheck there. Easily. They have groceries, wine, beer, furniture, gifts, home goods, holiday items... I mean, really. Ev.Er.Y.Thang. I've purchased a wine shelf (that I had shipped to CT), a duvet for my bed, cups, plates, bowls, cards, art (that made me grateful I had driven that time), and countless other items. My Christmas presents from my sister are usually 99% purchased at World Market. If I had to describe my personality as a store, it would be World Market. read more

If I could give more than five stars, I would. World Market isn't the best when it comes to communicating in or out of stock items but from the minute I called to inquire about what I wanted until the time I picked it up. I experienced nothing but stellar service. The team at the store definitely goes above and beyond for their customers no matter how difficult we are shout out to Cyrus for making sure my tables that I ordered for pick up fit in my car. Even if that meant on boxing both of them in order to make sure I went home with what I ordered. Will 100% be visiting this world market again. thank you so much for making sure I was able to leave with what I came for. read more

This place is loaded with all kinds of stuff! Where to start? The main thing I like about this place is is cookware and kitchen stuff. Great finds and unusual items that can be given for gifts or given to me! I like all the specialty coffee and tea accessories, they can be a great addition to any kitchen. (if you see something you think ill like Ill send you my address! Just sayin) The second best part of this store is the area where you can get the best assortment of eclectic drawer pulls! Yep my bride and I are going to redo our kitchen now that the bathroom is done and we want to really ramp up the drawer and cabinet pulls, and here they are! If you really want to go out and find a gift this is the place, from scarves to jewelry, to baskets and furniture. I don't drink but dear me do they have a large assortment of beers and wine. Now this I can say with great authority, the restrooms are spot on, clean and good smelling. the staff there were very helpful and professional. read more

We love coming here! We never leave empty handed because they have so much fun stuff that you are bound to find a must have so be prepared! I really like the out of the ordinary finds that range from soap to food to furniture. We got a really good deal on my wife's favorite rose so make sure you check out the wine section! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Join the world travelers club to receive discounts! read more

How does my fiance get me to go here gladly and willingly rather than kicking and screaming? The beer selection! I'll endure the furniture and kitchen gadgets to get to my liquid reward at the back of the store. They have a solid selection of beers you won't find many other places in the area, and for great prices. I enjoy going and crafting my own six-pack of goodies. Honestly, the other stuff in the store isn't bad. They have a lot of cool things to check out, and I really like their tea and coffee selection. read more

World Market - Furniture Stores Near Me - Charleston, South Carolina

World Market may not sell only unique and hard to find furniture, wine, food and dinnerware but they play the part well. This unique style chain retail establishment has everything from sheepskin rugs to sushi kits with salami and sake thrown in. This is a great way to spend an hour. Browse the selection of candles and then make your way to the Japanese food section. Don't forget the amazing selection of coffee. It is the only place I go for my beans. read more

Oh dear god, the amount of money and time I've spent on World Market.. Basically, I want to live there. They have more or less everything you need for you kitchen and bathroom and living room and etc. Cute aprons, shower curtains, decor, jewelery, and scarves... Not to mention an awesome wine section, which offers several bottles of wine (and not regular grocery store style Cavit Pinot Grigio wines!) at very reasonable prices. They also have wonderful food to stock your kitchen up on. And lots of tea. And specialty chocolates. And my soul. read more

I love this store! We recently purchased the cafeteria table. It is beautiful. It was so easy to put together. I was worried because the legs are so heavy but it was simple. It's solid wood with a gorgeous finish. We also have some end tables we got there a few years ago and they too were easy to put together and they have stood the test of time. We have moved across end the country 3x and they still look like new. Quality products at a great price read more

A great place with stuff for all rooms in the house along with international foods & wines. You need a lot of time to browse. They have rugs ornaments furniture fab greeting cards & tons of baskets that you can assemble for gifts. Wall decor & gadgets. Love. read more

We had to go twice this day and also to Summerville store. I gave Summerville a 5 because a little better kept and I thought better service. This was not bad by any means though and good service and we got what we needed. Both stores were out of some items but this was the end of the memorial day weekend sale so understandable and both stores have a good handle on what the other stores have and communicate well in order for us to be able to make the trek to the other store to complete our needs. read more

So much stuff, so little time. Coming in here without a purpose or a goal in mind is very dangerous, because you could walk out with a bit of everything. It's like going in to a Christmas Tree Shop, but a bit more upscale. We walked around with two shopping carts, because the kids each had to have their own, and luckily we controlled how much they put in there. Our purpose was to use a coupon that was expiring soon, and that in itself is dangerous. The store is well organized and easy to manage, but it's like going grocery shopping when you're hungry ... be careful :-) read more

I would return to this store in a heartbeat! I had a really great experience here. All of the sales associates were so warm and welcoming. I appreciate the excellent service! read more

I adore World Market. I literally make excuses to come here. Would buy everything in the store if I could afford it. Great selection of food and beverages from around the world (lots of chocolate) as well as amazing dinnerware, decor and an awesome stationary/gift wrap section. It's a great place to buy gifts for others or to treat yourself to something unique. read more

Love coming here to browse! They have a little bit of everything and it's sourced from all over the world. You can find a wide array of jams, biscuits, cookies, teas, beers, kitchen supplies, decorative items, lamps, you name it. My only gripe is that it's fairly expensive. I always find things I like, but half the things I find, I know I could shop elsewhere and find a similar item cheaper. Either way, it's a fun place to swing by from time to time! read more

I can't say enough good things about World Market. It is one of my favorite shopping spots! What I love most is the gourmet food section with candy, mixes, and sauces from all over the world. I have found candy here that I have only ever seen in Italy. My newest World Market addiction is the coffee. The store has several different flavors, and most that I have tried have been really good. The only exceptions seemed to be the winter specialty coffee flavors. I hate to say it, but they were terrible...hopefully this year they will make some changes. The Explorer club was definitely worth signing up for and offers double point days on coffee and coupons off of food and furniture. This store is always fun. The furniture is interesting and they have really cute decor at reasonable prices. It is worth going out of my way to shop. The one thing I wish were different is that they carry a lot of merchandise that is from companies that mass produce in China. The behind the scenes reality of these companies is not pretty. I think it would be a step up for them to increase the quality and ethics on some things. read more

If there is any place to catch 'the materialistic bug' it is World Market. Surrounded by so much beauty and class the desire to buy everything in the store grows like a virus. Pretty soon I am running a fever and bought $100 worth of stuff I believe I will keep forever. read more

Pretty cool store in the West Ashley area. It's good for smaller, home decor type of items like kitchen utensils, living room accents, picture frames, etc....They also have a decent amount of wine options and other various food/drinks that you may not normally find in a typical grocery store. I did give them a hard look for furniture but between their prices and subpar reviews, we decided to go another route. They do send a fair amount of coupons through the mail, which is nice around the holidays. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Would probably go more if they were closer to Mount Pleasant. read more
