Inside the gallery is bright and colorful with highlights of contemporary fine art and exquisite sculptures. I was given a lovely tour by Marisela. There's a little bit of history incorporated with the iconic Hollywood sign. The owner purchased every single letter of the original sign, transforming each material into a unique art design, which include Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe. Bill Mack is well-known for his creation of 3D bronze wall sculpture, where many of his works portray woman models. His wife Deb has a charming and playful approach to Pop Art. Her work is described as fun, youthful, whimsical, and is pretty fascinating. Someone recently purchased an art work by Deb, it's a beautiful montage of Mickey Mouse, which had fragments of the original Hollywood sign embedded, and it was sold at a great value! Overall, gorgeous gallery! Service from Marisela is welcoming, personable, and friendly. They have an upcoming showcase event in September that will feature original collections by world renowned Pop artist DeVon.

There is nothing more infuriating than having someone not keep their word. A couple of months ago I…read moresaw a statue in Key West Florida called "I am Superman". A larger one was on display for 6 Grand. Way too rich for my blood. When I got home I started searching and found that there was a mini version for 3 Grand. I somehow ran across The "Bill Mack Gallery" in Las Vegas. They had it. So, Jennifer Rowan the "Gallery Manager" wrote it up, emailed me the invoice, we paid via the phone and that was that. Then the excuses. They started the same day. After reaching out to the "Artist" Angela Mia, I was informed it was out of stock, and will take about 5 to 6 weeks to make a new one. A little time went by and I decided to reach out to the artist. She, Angela Mia informed me it would be done in another 5 to 6 weeks via a cute conversation and a story about the statue that: "it reminded her of her son at that sweet age".. Ok. Well that day came this weekend. I emailed the artist directly and heard nothing. So, I reached out to the gallery again. All the sudden I was told that she (Angela) had mixed me up with another client for another project. The conversation is attached, and now it will take 5 to 6 months. Just a few minutes ago, I get a call from Angela. It is attached, stating she was confused, and never got the invoice. But yet the gallery agent sent a screen shot of her stating she had received the invoice. The Gallery agent also said she had spoke to the artist on July 31st. That is how she found out is was out of stock. Correct? The to send a screen shot of them confirming the invoice? Who is conning who? Send the statue. They have sat on my money for a few months now. Now I am going to have to listen to my spouse saying I told you so. Reputable gallery my.... So, yeah, I am filing a complaint again the Bill Mack Gallery and Angela Mia. Someone needs to take responsibility.

Wandering around the Village, my friend and I noticed this new little store. I had never seen it, which I thought was a touch odd being that I live in the area. I went in and saw gorgeous colors of what I thought were chalk or oil pastel paintings. In fact, they are wools and felts made from recycled plastic bottles and look incredible. The manager and artist, Alycia, gave us the low down, treating us like we were paying customers when clearly we would not be. She even has a little demo booth where she shows the technique of the soft paintings. They are gorgeous and run, she said, between $400-$10,000. Obviously outside this Yelper's price range, but definitely a cool and unique idea for those with a little more money burning holes in their pockets.

As I walked inside the gallery, the team member let me know that it was perfectly okay to just walk around and appreciate the artwork! The gallery had a mix of pieces from well known artists along with some really interesting contemporary works, and I found myself stopping much longer than I expected to look at some of them! It was one of the more unique shops at the Forum shops inside the Caesars. One minute you're surrounded by the usual Vegas shopping crowds, and the next you're in a quiet space just taking in the artwork! It was a nice change of pace before heading to dinner. The staff was friendly as well. They were available to answer questions, but they let me know that I could browse at my own pace, which I appreciated. Martin Lawrence Galleries ended up being an unexpected highlight of my evening. If you're walking through the Forum Shops and have some extra time, it's worth stepping inside, even if you're not actively shopping for art.
