Samosa  ($2.75), vegan by default. Pretty good though I didn't like the raisins inside.

Three stars isn't a bad review in my book. It means a place is perfectly fine and worth visiting. With that out of the way, World Famous Momo is a small spot in South St. Paul serving a variety of Nepalese snacks. The menu is small and simple. Unfortunately, the vegetable momo is not vegan as the kindly owners mentioned the interior filling uses butter. But the samosa ($2.75 for one) is vegan by default and tasted pretty good. It was fresh and hand-made. My only small gripe is that they put raisins in it, which adds unwanted sweetness and the unwanted texture of raisins. The bara ($2 for one) is a a savory fried Nepalese lentil pancake and also vegan by default. I liked it a lot. This is the type of snack you want with a cold beer on a hot day. If World Famous Momo had a vegan momo, I'd be back all the time. As it stands, it's a nice spot off-the-beaten-track in a multicultural enclave of the Twin Cities.

My friends and I ended up in a part of town were very unfamiliar with in west St. Paul on a Sunday night. Most places were either closing wnd we wanted something quick to take to go. We were hungry and trying to narrow down where to eat and we drove past the sign that said world famous momo. I had eaten momos before and loved them and it didn't take much to convince the car full of hungry people to stop in. Most of the restaurants on the street looked like small hole in the wall type places. When we entered an older man greeted us and was very friendly. He walked us through the menu and I had the combo. It was a great deal got to try the bara, momos, a mango lassi, and a samosa. The sauces that came with were nice like a green minty sauce and the second maybe more of a tamarind. We were the only ones in and I think they were going to close shortly after we left. I enjoyed the momos and samosa had a little kick to it. The couple running the place was so sweet! So glad they were open before we resorted to fast food for dinner

Really excited to eat here.. well I mean try the food. The tables were incredibly dirty and I spent time cleaning the table I was at. I don't know when the last time they wiped their tables were. As the different stains were on the plastic table top and were incredibly difficult to remov This makes me a hit nervous about- if they wash their machines, blender, utensils etc. How clean is this place? I will let the health inspector figure that one out but even with the food, I probably would never eat here again even though this is my favorite type of food. The guy at the counter was really friendly. I personally liked the steamed chicken dumplings the most.

Dumplings are amazing. Samosa flavorful. Paratha with potato and pea filling (quesadilla like). Able to enjoy while on the road.

So happy I found this spot!! Such good Momo + the samosas were beautiful! We both got the combo meal which comes with a mango lassi, 5 momo (chicken or veggie, we got one of both), a samosa, and bara (lentil patties). I thought I'd like the chicken more, but the veggie was wonderful. Seriously so good. Next time we will probably instead order 2 full orders of the momo and then get a samosa each. It comes to about the same price as 2 combo meals, but we didn't LOVE the bara and I prefer to spend my money on food rather than beverage so to me it's worth it to trade in those two things for extra momo! It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot, and they specialize mostly in takeout, which I would recommend doing. Especially in the summer...this food is perfect to bring to a park! Easy to eat and doesn't create mess. It was SO good and the owner was really kind and personable. They opened 6 months ago so if you live nearby, go check them out! Highly recommend.

Was really scared to try out this place at first but.. it's super yummy!! Very different flavor! And when they say their sauce is spicy, ITS SPICY! But good of course. The owners here are super sweet and friendly! Definitely help support their business!

Momos were fine, but not really worth the stop. The other items on the menu just tasted like old fryer oil and were terribly bland.

Momo Sushi is my favorite sushi in Minneapolis. Everytime I get asked for a sushi spot…read morerecommendation, I always say Momo. The rolls are huge and packed with incredible combinations. There is a great variety of rolls so everyone is going to be pleased with the meal. The restaurant itself is tight on space but the dining experience makes up for it. I recommend you beat the dinner rush and go early when they reopen for the evening. Warning, it does get really busy almost everyday because it is just that good! Location-wise it is great because if you struggle to find parking in the small lot next to the spot, you can park on a residential street behind the restaurant and take a short stroll. I'm curious as to what the takeout experience is, I haven't had the chance to order, I would rather dine in the restaurant.

It was fine, we walked through the Indian grocery next door. (also fun!) We had a great little table inside. We ordered the Giaoza pork and tumpra veggies to start. (everything was gone the second it hit the table, so no pics) The arrived the sushi, and the hibachi. Every bit was amazing. No left overs and my son (8) orders more Goaoza to go! It was less that $60 for our family of 4. I can't wait to come back and try more.

I got the below items and while everything tasted fine, the flavors weren't very robust. Everything was ordered at Mild spice level which had a tiny kick, and the first two came with basmati rice. For some reason they put all the rice in one large foil container, which I later remembered happened last time (2-3 yrs ago). Honestly I wish they wouldn't! Anyway, while nothing tasted bad, 3 stars is the highest rating I can give. FOOD REVIEW: * Palak Paneer -Okay. I can't place my finger on it, but something in the flavor was lacking, and fell a bit flat. * Lamb Vindaloo - Okay. Noticeably more potatoes than lamb. The sauce was a bit thick, almost like canned tomato paste. *Gobi Manchurian - Meh. It was little too acidic (think tomato vs vinegar). Also, sadly it was soggy due to how it was packaged(see pic). They may want to consider using a container that allows steam to escape. *Garlic naan - Okay. TBH I would have been just as fine with the frozen garlic naan from Trader Joes. If I give it another try in the future, and it's for me and someone else I will request they place each entrees rice in it's own container. With stewed/saucy meats and veggies, I like to combine each bite with rice. Without a dedicated foil plate of my own (and say we don't have access to plates 'cause we're out) what do I do? Continuously dip my (used) fork into the communal rice to add into my small container of entree?! Anyway, on a positive note, they do have a decent number of parking spots in the small lot and a lot of tables if you want to dine in.
