This store, because they sell motor oil, is tasked with accepting used motor oil from customers…read more However, of the dozens of times I've either brought used oil to their store or called to confirm that they are accepting used motor oil, not once have they actually accepted it. EVERY time, I'm told that their tanks are full. EVERY time. Over dozens of attempts over the last three years, not once have they been able to accept the oil. It's also interesting that the employees who explain the refusal by O'Reilly's seem to have a full one-minute spiel prepared explaining their excuse. It almost sounds like they are reading a prepared response. So, doesn't it seem as though a competent management team would have addressed this failure? It's ongoing. It frustrates and disappoints customers. It puts employees in the difficult position of having to constantly apologize for the issue. Might I conclude that O'Reillys stores just don't want to deal with it? Are they even attempting to improve the situation, or are they just a bunch of clowns? So, I'm going to follow up, and check California statutes and regulations requiring retailers to accept used oil.

The first…read moreemployee I spoke with was helpful--he looked at the photo I brought, confirmed the type, and told me to bring my car back so an employee could help install them since they can be tricky. I returned not even 30 minutes later, and that's when I met James--the only employee on shift at the time. Unfortunately, this quickly turned into one of the most uncomfortable and longest customer service experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, James shared (unsolicited) how much pain he's in, how he has a limp from surgeries, and how he just doesn't care about anything anymore. While attempting to install my wipers (which he struggled with), multiple customers entered the store and waited to be helped. I politely told James he could go help them first, and he responded by saying, "I don't care at all," and even pointed out that *"one of them is a known thief"--*again, saying he didn't care. I ended up walking inside to apologize to the waiting customers because James flat-out refused to come in and assist them. The entire experience was bizarre, incredibly awkward, and unprofessional. I will never return to this location again solely because I might encounter James again.

The nice gentleman there saw me struggling to do this (I was in a lot of pain, and I'm too stubborn to ask for help haha), and he came to my rescue. Everyone there is always helpful and friendly! I love this place!

The precious metals are platinum, palladium, and rhodium. I ordered a Miller CAT catalytic converter shield direct from the factory for $200. I opted for the stainless steel version instead of the aluminum version as it slows down the thieves if they're using a Sawzall to cut through it. Miller CAT shields use patented proprietary high security screws so either thieves have to drill the screws out or cut through the steel plate. The local Toyota dealer wanted $306 labor. Ken, the owner squeeze me in on a Monday (which is probably their busiest day) with drive shafts and other work coming in. This is a busy shop! I am a part time teacher for automotive and diesel technology at 2 local high schools, I could have done it myself. I could have used the school's 2 post lift but that takes away from students. Ken and his staff installed the Miller CAT shield and properly torqued the proprietary high security screws in about an hour. The bill was well below what the dealer would have charged. I highly recommend ADCO. They are extremely competent and honest.
