I can not speak to the conditions of the facility itself, I am here in Virginia and my Father is currently a patient there. My Mother goes to visit him and due to the Covid guidelines, it is difficult to make appointments and speak to someone that is able to assist. This all changed when I spoke to a Ms. Nuria in admissions. She was very helpful, informative, and willing to assist. She gave me advice on my mother going to a facility that would enable her to get a rapid testing response of her Covid results, she advised that she would reach out to her director to get my mother additional visits and always provided me with additional information to enable me to make an informed decision. She went above and beyond in every instance to be of service. I called to make an appointment for my Mother to see my Father and due to someone testing positive, visitation was suspended for two weeks. Ms. Nuria arranged for my Father to Facetime my Mother. Being here in Virginia and having someone I can reach out to that is communitive, informative, and caring is a huge relief. Between Ms. Nuria and Ms. Noriama they work really well together in providing a great customer service experience. I am beyond thankful to the two of them and wish all phone interactions and experiences could be like the ones I've experienced with them. this place is horrible for elderly! my 86year old grandfather with dementia is currently at this place ! this place gives my mom hell every other week ! always saying my grandfather is aggressive when HE CAN BEARLY WALK ! and he has a walker !! he takes 2 steps at a time and is about 4ft tall !! they are always sending him to jacobi to get evaluated! the nurses doesnt care about patients at all ! this patient erl passed away and when i asked if they missed him they told me they were actually happy he passed away smh ! do not please do not place your loved ones in the facility!! they will leave your loved ones screaming for help and ignore them and pass their room ! please look up and read reviews before placing them in this nursing home ! i wish i wouldve did this before !! read more

These Caribbean staff are rude, crass and unprofessional. Once they get annoyed they are forceful and disregarding of patient's condition. Don't get bed sores. There is NO care for bedsores. NONE. I would give zero stars if I could. Unethical, poor care and dishonest. The CNAs are disrespectful and obnoxious. Openly arrogant and belligerent. Also the nursing seems outsourced to a company that only employs one demographic. And they are not thorough. They do a lot of covering their asses, finger pointing and gaslighting. It leads me to think that there are a huge number of complaints, that they are hiding. Your loved one will have bed sores and not only will they not turn them, they don't have anything like a wedge to relieve the pressure. They will not give you a proper care plan and they will drag it out for as long as possible to collect the insurance payment, or bill your loved one to be there. I know someone who took their parent out of here after ONE day. This happened within the past 18 months. It's hard to find a place that will have good and thorough care. The quality of care at the facility is stellar, from the housekeeping staff, nurses aides, nurses,doctors administration, social worker ( Victoria) and last, but not least the entire physical therapy especially Issac and Kachi. I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had with the Workmen's Circle Multicare Center in the Bronx. Despite my father still being in the hospital recovering, the admissions team repeatedly called--up to 2-3 times a day--demanding to know if he would be transferring to their facility. These calls not only harassed me but also upset my father during a critical time in his recuperation. After we decided to place my father in a different facility, I received a call from Viola in admissions, who was shockingly rude and abrasive. She went so far as to threaten that my father would "never be allowed" there again, and then abruptly hung up on me in the middle of our conversation. This behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and very alarming. I would strongly advise against bringing your loved one here. The harassment, rude treatment, and lack of compassion we experienced are serious red flags. read more

I am shocked over the negative reviews on this platform. My mom has been at workmens now over a year and a half with late stage Dementia and the staff have been wonderful. My siblings and i visit my mom at least 3 days a week and we see the care they give to not only to my mom but to the other patients. Also when my dad was there for rehab for 3 months they move my mom into the same room so they can be together. it was perfect and made my dad feel close. He saw the staff daily clean the halls and room every day while there and the nursing staff !! friendly and caring. He felt at ease now that mom is definitely being taken care of. Thank you to all the staff: nurses, rehab staff, food workers, custodians and all others who do a great job with a difficult situation. This Facility is trash! I placed my mother there for rehab and within a few days had to take her out because it wasn't safe for her. Here are some of the things your love one will be subjected to once admitted: Wrong medication given: these nurses come from Asia on work visas. They overwork them. They will have one nurse giving out meds on two floors ( how they can keep track when they have to give meds to so many people and constantly being interrupted to run to an emergency. I am sure that people have died there because of a wrong medication and neglect. my mother almost did if it wasn't that I visited her that day. I found her slumped on the wheelchair chair with her head on the dining table and no one insight. Her pressure was extremely low. Then they kept feeding her food loaded with carbs her sugar levels were in the 400, 470 , 500 and no one bother to tell the doctor. During one occasion they gave my mom the wrong dinner plate which was not diabetic and loaded with sugar. There are issues with the food they serve. Forget about a diaper change or speaking with someone that can actually help you or getting a return call. Rehabilitation is a joke they just want to look good on paper and not give the patients the support they need. Here too Worker's are on work visa so they over worked and afraid to speak up on their working conditions. This is a terrible place, and while sometimes a facility is the best option, please look elsewhere because this place doesn't have a patient's best interest in mind. Such a terrible place. What is sadder is that no one is doing anything about this. I spoke with other disgruntled family members that said that they had complained to the state to no avail. One said they wipe there noses with the complaints. Please don't use this place, if you must stay with your love one as long as they allow you to be there. Good luck if you put your love one there. If I could I wouldn't give any stars. This is an absolutely awful facility. Very short staffed one overworked and under paid Registered Nurse or 1 Licensed Practical Nurse for about 45 patients and maybe 4 Certified Nursing Assistants. Management sole interest is in health care for profit staff changes like a revolving door, this causes pt. neglect and mistreatment. How does management expect this to workout in safe care for the patients? Multiple falls and injuries, bed sores and possibly loss of life. The families should hold management accountable for these acts. If you see something say something. If management doesn't make measurable changes conceding your family and loved ones, get your churches; borough presidents and neighbors to help. Let them know what you see and your experiences. The way to see safety and caring for our loved ones is to let management know that you demand that your loved one's receive good and safe care and don't keep silent and feel helpless and alone. Involve the community, and your politicians. If I could give this place a zero star I would. It was the worse experience we have ever had with our father. They never had proper staff so everyday he would have a new nurse who didn't know what was his status that day. He came in with his legs fine few days later he began to have marks and scratches on his legs they kept them wrap up. On top of that when he 1st got there they was supposed to shower my father 24 to 48 hours once he arrived and we had to complain about that because they didn't shower him for 4 days. We are a family that stays on top of our father because he gets great care at home so having him come to this place for rehab was a nightmare. We took turns being with him everyday because the care was so poor. We are glad he's home now and getting great care from us his daughters but this place needs to be revamped they need proper staff that will care for the patients. read more

I really want to give this hell hole zero stars but I have to rate it in order to write this. In April of this year my grandfather after being diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer was placed in this center for rehabilitation purposes. Our family decided to go with this center because it was near our home. None of our immediate family has a car or access to easy transportation to be near him if he was placed further. Also due to him losing his job and losing his Medicare his health insurance could only cover Workmen's Circle. This facility on its website talks about how much they provide great service but THEY DO NOT. I will say his rehab physicians were great. But due to the dirty environment, horrible staff my grandfather is losing his mind. This facility does not care about its patients. If you call the nurses station no one ever picks up the phone. They do not do a good job at keeping in contact with a patients family. On August 11th my grandfather was rushed back to Jacobi hospital because he was dehydrated and had caught an infection in his lungs due to the physicians within Workmen's Circles. They removed my grandfathers belongs from his room without informing our family and placed them in storage. I contacted and some staff nurse told me that, that is the protocol that once I patient leaves the facility regardless of having to go to the hospital they remove their stuff from the room and give it to another patient. He was taken to Jacobi hospital on a Friday night that Saturday morning when we went to go to the room was when we were told his stuff had been removed and placed in storage. His room and bed given away. He was discharged and returned to WMCC only to be placed in a room with another senior who uses the bathroom on his self which makes it impossible for my grandfather to be comfortable. Again he was discharged on a Friday so according to them they had no empty beds or rooms so my grandfather had to endure those orders until Monday August 21st. Once he received a new room my mother had to thoroughly clean the room because the janitors and cleaning staff did not. There were flies all through the room the bathroom had stains and had a terrible odor. This facility has rats that run in and out of patients rooms. The food service is horrible as they serve these seniors in dirty plates, cups and give them dirty utensils. Our family has come to the conclusion of removing him and I don't want anyone who cares about their loved ones to place them here. The staff is ghetto and rude!!! read more

Hoodwinked! Do not use this place unless you are ready to get an attorney (like I had to do). Insurance stopped paying but my intellectually disabled uncle wanted to stay. He was not longer getting physical or occupational therapy but they "let" him stay as a cash pay, $600 a day. Mind you, no discharge planning was being put in place during this $10,000 excursion. Director, Abie Cooperberg was useless and didn't do a thing.... Until I hired an attorney. $1000 retainer. Workmen's decided to discharge him... With NO discharge plan. The text in his paperwork was copy and pasted. It referenced a daughter-he has no kids, and referred to him as "she". Violet tried to blame covid for their negligence but the city is back to businesses as usual. It felt like my uncle was being held hostage. I HAD TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY TO HAVE TO HAVE THEM BEHAVE ETHICALLY! Beware, my loved one was taken advantage of financially. Stay here and yours can be next. This was NOT AN INSURANCE ISSUE! My Father was admitted to the "Rehabilitation department" at this Nursing home for 4 months (November -March) . Communicating/ Dealing with them has been a nightmare. They are the most unorganized, unprofessional people I've met who has constantly given me the runaround, accompanied with ingenuine tones and smiles. Nonetheless, I complied and made the best of the circumstance. No one ever answers their phone. I would have to travel two hours back and forth (4 hours total) just to ask a simple question because it does more good to show up than to bother calling. Even then you are at their mercy because the social worker in particular, is nowhere to be found. In fact, they have a new "Director of Social work" almost every month.The Doctor might as well be the "Wizard of Oz" because he is non existent. Apparently, he does not come in at all but communicates with the workers via zoom. I was told there is one Doctor for the whole building. They are severely short staffed and visiting on the weekends is proof of this. I've visited my Father on a Saturday and watched tumble weed blow through the halls and barely any Nurse on site. The food is terrible. I wouldn't feed my Dog the food they serve. Do note, they often serve breakfast really late sometimes at 2pm. My Father was recently discharged and sent home without any proper follow up. They were supposed to arrange Nursing services as part of his plan to assess him for several weeks post discharge. My Father is 84 years old and needs special attention. He was in rehab for a colectomy surgery and given an ostomy bag to wear. They did not properly give my Mother training on how to assist my Dad but instead brushed off any difficulties as if it were no big deal. It has been 3 weeks since discharge and no nursing services to help my Father. I've called numerous times to check in about the services and they have not only given me the runaround but ultimately said he is out of their care now when I had the insurance people call for assistance. "We will call you back " is their favorite term. Don't hold your breath. Terrible people. Minus the Reception "George" who has been extremely helpful and hospitable to my Mother. The best genuine interaction I've had with anyone was a random dietician who had nothing to do with our case and the physical therapist. My 73 year old Mother would have to do my Fathers laundry because his clothes were always misplaced. One time I visited him and he was wearing someone else's clothes. It was strange but at this point I just had to laugh. Aside from a few good nurses/ aids this place is the pits. So. My partner has already been in three facilities. Either the nursing centers LOOK lovely, but render substandard care; or the places look old, dark & depressing but provide pretty good nursing, medical and direct care oversight. It seems a hopeless venture to find both. And I pose this question to you, Larry B: as I read the myriad reviews of your facility (that I was considering exploring, but am no longer ...) one review is worse than the next. I have never read such consistently poor reviews of any other facility. There are usually at least a few positives. And I note that you respond in writing to each one. But the more telling question remains: what are you REALLY doing to improve the services that your facility is providing? Other than offering written lip service, as the head Administrator, what are you doing to truly change things and make life better for those residents who must remain there for the rest of their lives? my sister is a resident at Workmen's circle. I visit quite often at different times of the day. This place is disgusting, deplorable. There are used gloves on the floor and in the elevators, roaches crawling around, toilet paper on the floors. Her soiled clothing is rolled up and stuffed in the chair. My sister sits in a soiled diaper all day. Food service is always late and as such cold food is served. The presentation of the food on the try is a"turn off". When placed in her bed, she's not positioned correctly and lays there in that position for a long period of time. Call button is not in easy reach as well as the phone. My sister had a stroke, so she is affected on one side. HIPA rules are not observed. The State needs to go ther. read more

Terrible place, Do not send your love ones to this place. They failed to give my mother her liver medication for two weeks and her ammonia level when up, and no one noticed that she was lethargic and confused. Thank God I had scheduled to take her to an appointment to see her Dr. They brought her down to me to the lobby and i immediately noticed that she was not speaking and lethargic. I called 911 myself and she was taken to Jacobi Hospital. she was admitted to the ICU. Her ammonia level was so high she almost went into a coma. This is a terrible place with patient care. The nurses do not know how to assess their patients. That's nursing 101 to do your assessment !! Check if your patient is oriented X3 with liver failure. Workman's Circle Multi-Care Center 3155 Ely Ave Bronx, NJ 10469 To Whom This May Concern, My name is Adrienne and my mother Alexandria has been a resident of Workman's Circle Multi-Care Center for 5 months. When she was first admitted she barely had any mobility. Now she is about to be discharged and is able to stand, walk long distances and use her arms. My mother has come a long way since being admitted to Workman's and much of the reason is because of the staff. The physical therapists were patient yet very motivating and because of their great skill my mother is able to walk again. Her favorite PT is Chathura K. He has become like a son to her and always treats my mother with respect and honor. He is great at what he does and because of his professionalism and persistence my mother can walk again. I am extremely grateful that he has been my mother's PT during her stay at Workman's. The occupational therapists were also very encouraging and motivated my mother with their kind words and excellent teaching techniques. Vela, Kevin and Victoria all played a role in helping my mother strengthen her upper body and become comfortable with performing her daily activities. Victoria is the one who helped my mother become comfortable with normal daily activities and for that we are grateful. The nursing staff was also great. There are so many of them but mom's particular favorites are Kim Park and Alwin. These two beautiful spirits made me feel like my mother is always in good hands. I would also like to point out that CNA Joanne A. was also extremely supportive and encouraging. She is very professional and pleasant and her words of encouragement always ensured us that mom is in good hands. Now for the two CNA's that made my family feel like mom has always been safe. Andrele Henry and StaKeisha C. These two ladies have become like family. My mother is very quiet and reserved and doesn't usually let too many people into her personal life but Ms. Henry and Stakeisha found a way to my mother's heart. Not just with how professional they are but also with how caring and endearing they have been over the past few months. Stakeisha and Andrele always made sure mom had all she needed to feel safe and comfortable and constantly encouraged her to get stronger. Because of their constant support mom is back on her feet. This nursing home always seem to be short staffed and shows no love to their patients. Borderline abusive. If you call their to get your family member some help they say it's only two nurses per every 40 patients. Your love ones have to wait at times up to and over 3 hours just to use the bathroom or to be changed and turned around. The patients are also afraid to say anything to the staff because they are rough, mean and handle them bad. No loving, caring and patience come from this staff. They also talk to the visitors and callers horribly. If calling to check up on your loved one; you'll be on the phone for over an hour waiting to speak to someone. Once you get someone they are rude over the phone. Very defensive stating they are busy and overwhelmed. All I can say is when you have your family here you worry about them more than you should. The owners of this facility should really think long and hard as to what a nursing home actually is and stop being money hungry and actually start paying to have a full staff around the clock so that everyone; staff and patients are at ease. Quality care should be your new motto. Also I sent my loved one a carry on size bag full of brand new clothes. Pants and sweaters. She received the bag however without any clothes. My dad has been here for 3 weeks and everyday i have to remind the nurse/s to feed him which is normally is an hour after feeding time. I have several other issues to much to write. Bottom line don't use this facility, it will not add any value to what you are trying to accomplish. I will add that they are consistent in trying to milk you for finances. please stay away. I sent my dad to a cancer care in White Plains NY which is completely opposite of what I'm describing. This place is called Burke rehabilitation. Unfortunately, my family member has come up with bruises and scratches, and it now appears there is a broken bone which no one can seem to explain other than saying her bones are brittle. This was supposedly the opinion of the attending physician. While I understand that brittle bones are not unusual in the elderly population, it does seem someone should have recognized that she was experiencing significant pain and that there was visible swelling in one of the extremities. An "investigation" was done and our family was informed that all of the protocols had been followed and they were certain that she had not fallen. Although it had been determined that the fracture was the cause of brittle bones, it is important to note that this was not the opinion of the orthopedic surgeon at the hospital. There was another curious finding that did not add up. There was a bruise on her shoulder and a scrape or scratch with broken skin. This happened to be on the same side of the body as the fracture which I seriously doubt is coincidental. When the Nursing VP was questioned about it after stating there was no evidence of a fall she said they would need to conduct another investigation. So as a nurse of 33 years I am appalled that when the first injury was reported there was not a full head to toe examination. If there was, the shoulder bruise wasn't documented or passed on to anyone for further investigation. My suspicion is that the so called investigation was minimal at best and virtually non-existent worst case. When nurses in general document their assessment on patients they sometimes chart "WNL" which stands for "Within Normal Limits." Sadly at Workman's Circle it stands for "We Never Looked." I still have a copy of an email we sent to Mr. Abrams back in 2017 when the same family member was hit in the forehead by another resident, but nobody saw it because it happened during dinner which is typically a very busy time. So does this mean there are not enough people to observe these patients and no one in the entire dining hall was available to help the residents? When I was there back in August of 2018 the foot support for her wheelchair was missing and again no one knew anything about that either? Not sure if there is a code of silence or people are discouraged from speaking up. I honestly don't know how the people who run this place sleep at night. read more

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES HERE. I thought I had done my research when looking for a place for my mother. I did the tour and spoke to the administrative staff. My mom had surgery to remove her tumor and her recovery was long, full of ups and down. When my mom was being discharged she had a surgical drain, feeding tube, and trachea. The first night my mom arrived the nurses came in to evaluate her. The nurses kept asking me what everything was (her drain and feeding tube). They said they didn't have the proper equipment for her trachea and that they had requested that the hospital send supplies (they didn't). I questioned why would they take a patient with a trachea when they don't have the proper equipment. When I was putting some stuff away I go into the bathroom and turn on the lights. There were roaches in the bathroom. They claimed that the exterminator had been there like 2 days ago and that's probably why they were coming out. The custodian came and spray hot shot. That didn't kill them as later on we found more and my dad just killed the roaches. I spend a night with my mother and asked one of the nurses to please suction her and she answered "she has to show me how to do that" then I said you shouldn't do it if you don't know how to and she said "she can tell me if I'm going down the wrong hole." I told her my mom doesn't speak because she didn't have the passy and she said "she can hit me if I hurt her." I didn't feel safe leaving my mom there. My mom got me pneumonia and her oxygen level dropped to the 40s. Thank goodness a family member was with her because if not I highly doubt that someone would have helped her. When you ring the bell it takes them forever to get there. There was a time that the custodian would ask if we were ok and he would try to get a nurse. Nurses do not follow up with patients and you don't know when they switch shifts. My mom ended up going to the New Jewish home in Manhattan and got the proper care she needed. Do your loved one a favor and stay away. Regret sending my mother there instead of the other facilities the hospital provided.

In June of 2019, my mother was admitted to Workman's Circle Multicare Center. It was the biggest mistake I ever made. I did my research and thought I was doing the best for my mother, but I was wrong when I chose this facility. My mother needed rehabilitation after surgery. In the hospital, she remained in the bed for a prolonged amount of time and lost the use of her legs and needed a considerable amount of help. Going into this process and situation, I felt completely unprepared for selecting a nursing home where my mom could get the very help she needed. My mother was at WCMC for twenty days, and she got worse. Ascetically, WCMC looks nice from appearances, but appearances can be deceiving. My mother was at worse, left to stay in the bed for twelve straight hours without cleaning or attending to marinating in her own filth. I think that this was punishment from staff after she demanded to be taken to the hospital after screaming about not being able to defecate. They finally did something and a fecal mess was made, and because of this I believe they retaliated against her. The therapy from WCMC was subpar. She did not get better, in fact, they retarded her progress. She also got bed sores on both legs. I had to be creative and get her out of there. She left WCMC, went to another nursing facility, and received better therapy. She got better and now is home. Please listen because I did not. DO NOT and I repeat, DO NOT send your loved one here. read more

My grandmother Julia Burgos resides here. It's unfortunate that no one in the family can provide care for her at home. Every single time me or my family comes to visit with my grandma it has always been a good experience. I always show up during meal time and they feed her well. The room is clean and to an extent she's happy, healthy , and cared for. I really want to thank this facility for doing the best they can. I sleep well at night knowing she is safe and sound. For all current and future residents, I would strongly recommend keeping an itemized list of all your belongings with a copy to the Facility Administrator in addition to locking up the belongings (including clothing, shoes, etc). Also should there be a need for a hospital admission during your stay, be sure to remind the Administrator of the itemized list and ask that your belongings be kept under lock and key. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that belongings are either stolen or misplaced at this facility. My partner was admitted to the facility in February of this year followed by three separate hospital admissions and during the last admission in April he passed away. When I went to the facility to claim his belongings, not only were his computer and phone missing but also most of his clothing and shoes. What was in the boxes was a small amount of his belongs along with belongings of another resident. The explanation for the missing shoes was the shoes were placed on his feet when he was being transferred to the hospital. Not sure if this makes sense as he could not walk also the jacket was not put on him and this was early April so why the shoes if he wasn't dressed. Because of my partner's passing, it was especially upsetting that his belongings were missing. I did say that this needs to be pursued and if not I would post a negative review. The response was "That's not fair" to which I responded "Is it fair to steal from a dead man". I was then told that a search would be conducted and I would be contacted with the results. After three separate emails inquiring as to the outcome of the search, I still have not been contacted. Regarding the facility as a whole, some of the staff were great others left a lot to be desired. One of my partner's main complaints was that it would take forever for someone to respond to the call button. A number of times he pressed the call button as he was having difficulty breathing or was in pain. Another complaint was that at times when someone would respond to the call button he would tell them what he needed and they would walk out of the room without acknowledging his request and not return for quite sometime or not return at all. A complaint that I have is regarding the phone system and coverage. Several times when I was unable to reach my partner by his cellphone for most of the day, I tried to reach the nurse's station to make sure he was alright. If no one picks up, there is no voice system and you are transferred back to the main recording. Another time one of the residents was picking up and he kept hanging up on me. Also the facility is not as clean as it should be. If my partner had not required on-site dialysis, we would not have even considered this facility. This is Bad All! What if This was your Mom and we're in COvid19 too! My mother has been residing at WOrkmen Circle, for 10 months now, wheel chair bound, dementia, cannot go to the bathroom herself, diayalsis is on site and some other health problems; in which it is more suitable for her to have around the clock care. I have had 2 major problems in which I have had to write NY nursing home abuse. But this one has me messed up, because they wouldn't let me talk to her or see her until I called the facility. At 530pm, at the end of the work day. Before administration staff was leaving for the day, and the next nursing staff was arriving for the 3-11pm shift. Last night, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 10:30pm, the head nurse had called me, her daughter, 3 times until I picked up. I was putting my child to bed to start remote learning 830am, and work. I'm a single parent. "Miss your mother requested me to call you as she won't talk to me. She fell and we found her laying on her back on the floor", the night head nurse says. I ask my mom, was she alright? She said, No! Come and get me please, she pushed me to the floor. So then I asked the head nurse, WHo was her aide for the evening shift? He gave me names of 4 people working the shift on the floor for the night, and then told me specifically who was her nurses aide. I then requested to speak to her at 10:45pm. He then informs me that she has left for the evening. I then asked, how can she leave if her shift is over at 11pm. He said, I don't know. I call the next morning 10/28, 845am and speak to the administrator. He will do an investigation and get back to me before he leaves this evening. 5pm came and nothing. I call the facility to see why I haven't gotten a video call yet, their trying to get everything set up at 5pm. I hear nothing from them and it's now 530pm. So I call the police department, 47th precinct to do a Wellness Check, as we're in COvid19 at 6pm, because I still haven't heard from the nursing home staff. I call back at 630pm because they said they'd call me once they arrived at the facility. Mind you, I live outside of the Bx and I have to dial the direct phone number. Can't DO 311. They don't have a call to go to the nursing home on file, it's 630pm. I make another request for a Wellness Check again! This time an officer doesn't get to her until 1030pm and she's already in bed, I've spoken to the nursing supervisor, who says the nurse Mrs. Oguwa has been sent home. Not fired! And will not be caring for your mom, as they are reviewing the camera footage, to see who was going in and out her room at that time. At 1030pm the police women calls and says, Wellness check! Your mother is in the bed and fine ma'ma. So I say, It's 1030pm! I called you at 6pm! Really! Police women, Well we checked! That's all we can do ma'ma! We can't do a complaint because she's sleep in bed. So I spoke to the Captain who apologized for his officers behavior and is supposed to have a talk with them, as he then advised me to call first thing in the morning so that a Officer can go to the nursing home to do another Wellness Check. They could've hurt her. Tomorrow when her MRI's come back, that will tell the story if I need to SUE or NOT. They thought I wasn't going to find out! Be consisteI nt with calls and coming to visiting your loved one. Tell them you love them everyday and play music for them. Always ask who is the aide to your "loved one" morning and evening shift. Never bring food for them! They say they give it to them. I pray in reading this, this happens to NO ones loved one. But if it does call: Complaint About Nursing Home Care- NY State Dept. of Health at 1-888-201-4563 or NewYork.gov and fill-out a form online I pray this happens to NO one else. My mother was In Their care for two days and got an infection and a whole bed sore!!!! They never answer the phones or return calls and no one ever knows what's going on!!!! Extremely understaffed and unqualified for serious health conditions like tracheas. I would never recommend this facility even to my enemy! read more

I'm giving two stars because it could be worse. I find the therapy staff to be caring but overworked. The nursing, physician and administrative staff seem disinterested, distracted or over worked. I cant count the number of times that I was told that they would look into something and get back to me and I never heard from anyone. Phone calls and messages go unanswered. When they did schedule a patient care update meeting with me. I was told to be on time because it could only go 15 minutes. I arrived one hour prior to the scheduled meeting and was told that they were running 15 minutes late. They actually meet with us 50 minutes after our scheduled time. My meeting took place and several of the key players were not there. I've decided to take my mother out of the facility and take our chances at home. I've noticed that when bad reviews are issued they Center responds and says call us but doesn't give the name of a person to call or an extension. read more
