My experience with Workmen's Circle was extremely difficult and disappointing. My mother stayed…read morethere for more than seven months while recovering from a renal failure procedure, and during that time, I observed a marked decline in her physical condition and overall quality of life. Before entering the facility, my mother was a very lively and strong woman who could walk and move herself around in a wheelchair. Within a relatively short period, she became largely bedridden. She was repeatedly sent to the hospital for UTIs, bedsores, infections, and pneumonia. On one occasion, I arrived to find she had not been changed for a soiled diaper. And I have serious concerns about the adequacy of basic care. Communication and handling of personal belongings and documents were also a problem. Some items went missing, and I did not feel the facility adequately addressed those concerns. The financial department was also a source of frustration, with frequent calls about payment but little support when I sought assistance. At the time of writing, my mother is back in the hospital recovering from pneumonia, and I'm concerned about whether some issues were properly diagnosed in a timely way. I'm sharing this because families deserve to be fully informed when choosing care for a loved one. I sincerely hope the facility takes these concerns seriously and investigates them so other families do not have similar experiences. PS. the two nurses in 3S the one that sprayed my mother with LYSOL ALL OVER HER BODY!! aka rose And the nurse with the short hair cut with glasses that look like a god damn man. She had issues with the complaints me n my sister had about our mom's hygiene n care she also kept lifting my mother with a hoy lift by HERSELF to transfer her into the bed. Most disturbingly leaving her with a soiled diaper for almost most of the day. The building looks newly renovated, clean and floors look shiny. My elderly mother was sent there and she was very nervous staying there the first night. I was trying to leave but was hesitating bec I felt bad leaving her alone and nervous. One of the nurses sat with her and told her that she was going to stay with, not to worry. She told me to leave and not worry bec she wasn't going to leave her. I was right away at ease and grateful. Actually, all the nurses were caring and attentive. I feel proud to have such a wonderful facility in our neighborhood!
