This facility is terrible!!! Don't send your relatives here, I promise you, you will thank me later. Issues: 1. Impossible to get someone on the phone. 2. Non responsive. 3. Employees are very lazy and unattentively to the patients. 4. The administration doesn't know how to manage employees. The list could go on and on. Trust me this is a real review.. The staff in this facilty is deplorable. While the facilty is kept clean the staff needs to under go new training in work ethics and patient care. Patients are usually left to fend for themselves. Whether they are capable or not to do so. Patients are missing their appointments because there is no staff to assist them. This is totally unacceptable. There is no expression of empathy towards these patients. Yes, I understand that you might be under staffed but still,this does not give you the right to mistreat the patients. Sadly,until an incident happens, the staff in this facilty will not be reprimanded. read more

This place feel & looks like a hotel! Brand new/ recently remodeled. Staff is amazing, quality of care is excellent. Will highly recommend this facility. One of the best nursing homes and rehabilitation centers in the bronx. read more

My grandmother developed skin sores, had her belongings disappear, and the kicker - a toe amputated all right before, through and up until I am writing this post. We couldn't have taken her out soon enough. PLEASE CONTACT THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH regarding citations and do your research 1st before placing your family in a nursing home! We learned too late. This is a "for profit" organization that has not changed any of the same people who repeatedly made my loved one and family's experience the worse. Administrator wouldn't respond for weeks on end. No one was ever reprimanded for what happened to her. There are plenty of non profit and other nursing homes nearby with much better ratings and response. Don't be fooled by the nice pictures, those are only for short term guest. Mr. Lee and the Rec team, the only highlight. Si les importan a sus seres queridos, ¡no los ponga aquí! Have a friend in Beth Abraham Center in the Bronx. She has been there for about a week maybe less. Since she got there it's been a whirlwind of complaints the food, the staff etc are rough. I chalked it up to her not feeling well until I tried to send her a bouquet of flowers. The flowers were left at the front desk and the person at the front desk DID NOT KNOW where my friend's room was. It was the same guy I contacted at about 6:00 this morning. That call was transferred to the nurses station. They DID know where she was. So I ask myself does the right hand communicate to the left? Could they lose track of a patient? How efficient can they be if they can't tell you where your loved one is? read more

It is a worst rehab center in the Bronx. Most of the workers are rude, rough, merciless, barely educated. The facility has very good physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Just a few good nurses and CNAs. The rest is horrible. Food is very bad. read more

The place looks like a hotel but it definitely is not. A relative of mine was admitted this October 2019. We came across dirty floors and having to make multiple request to have standard things done in the patients room. The food was not that great either. And the worst is that they use trickery and misrepresentation to get patients to sign financial forms they would not normally be signing. The up side is that the occupational therapist are really good. The security staff are helpful and nice. The CNA is good. However a number of the younger nursing staff need better training on being more compassionate caregivers. read more

I am currently residing in a Long Term Care Facility with one of the worst reputations in the GNYC metropolitan region, Beth Abraham Health Services in the Bronx, New York. It's only too bad I can't render a lower than one star out of five rating for Beth Abraham Health Services Long Term Care Facility, now part of CenterLight Health System, a whole new brother from another mother scam over here. This is a revision of my earlier review of the Beth Abraham Center, since March 2017 under new ownership with Centers Health Care. As I noted in my earlier review, this facility had one of the worst reputations in the GNYC metropolitan area. Since the sale transaction transfer of ownership from nonprofit CenterLight Health Systems to for profit Centers Health Care, albeit while there have been some marginal incremental improvements in some areas, I would say, taken as a whole, almost the entire consumer experience has been, to turn a phrase, "nothing to write home to the folks about." For the most part, with some notable rare occasions, the quality of the nursing care is inconsistent, sometimes acceptable, sometimes mediocre, occasionally leading to incidents of abuse, neglect, rehospitalizations, and even potentially avoidable harm leading to death. In the seventy two months I have been unfortunate to be a resident here, I have experienced an average of at least one, maybe even a few, medication dosing errors for everyone of those seventy two months. Some, but not all, of both the medical speciality practitioners and the front-line caregiver paraprofessionals, provide professional quality care, but only if you're fortunate enough if you yourself and/or your family and friends make sure that your best interests are looked out for. For the most part, with some notable rare exceptions, disrespect, incompetence, and unprofessionalism are de rigueur soup de jour here. Inferior quality Building Engineering and Maintenance, inferior quality Dietary and Food Services, inferior quality Environmental Services (housekeeping), inferior quality Resident Funds Accounting and Healthcare Benefits Eligibility Advisory Services, inferior quality Social Work Services and Comprehensive Care Planning programming, inferior quality Therapeutic Recreation Activities programming; there is an almost total capricious, cavalier contempt and disregard here for the basic concepts of "resident autonomy, dignity, respect and right to basic privacy"; there was a Domestic Violence incident occurrence here on June 5th, 2018; there are intramural incidents of abuse, neglect, theft and violence; residents misappropriating other residents' property, staff misappropriating residents' property and even instances of residents misappropriating staff property. I've had a former roommate in a shared suite call caregiving staff n____r b_____s, that same former roommate threaten to kill a housekeeper with a gun, that same former roommate defecated and soiled the shared bathroom late last year 2017; that same former roommate goes into the rooms of female residents at all hours of the day and night with impunity; a more recent roommate a few weekends ago threatened to kill me, the caregiving staff at that moment and himself. If I was required to furnish concrete examples of all of this, which I easily could, I would need a book the size and thickness of a large print telephone directory. I stand, without apology or reservation, by the commentary and observations I have made here. If I could give this facility a zero star i would . DO NOT PUT YOUR ONES in this nursing home . Starting with the administration he runs from the problem instead of rectifying it . He lacks leadership and when you can't lead your team your going have major problems that will persist . My mother had the worse experience at this facility down to having her toe amputated ... staff lied and told us it fell off . They where cited by the state because of our complaint and the problems still continued . Went to visit my mom because she was in hospice she was bought down soiled down to the point that her gown was soaked . Had a phone meeting with the head nurse from her floor regarding the matter we asked if my mom had any bed sores they told us she didn't have any sores . We get a call 4 days later my mom now had sores . They lied like always and they get away with it because there's no accountability . The day my mother was getting transferred 12-14-2020 she bought down to the lobby by the supervising social worker and nurse without a MASK on . CDC and DOH rules everyone must wear a mask especially the elderly . I've reached out to our local politicians regarding this nursing home . They don't care about elderly patients Don't be fooled by the positive comments they're either staff or friends this home is thee WORSE! read more

This place Sux I have been, jailed, here since 7/09 I am 64 years old and am lucid and fully capable of caring for myself. Yet this place won't let me go anywhere! I am an, asymptomatic - meaning I have no prior warning when my Blood Sugar falls or goes very high, insulin dependent diabetic, epileptic! Diabetes is not a disease that requires hospitalization. I was diagnosed, as a type 1, by going into a diabetic coma in 1974. I was taught how to inject self with insulin and use urine test for blood sugar, later how to finger stick myself and test my sugar that way! But this place refuses to allow me to do that, nurse watching makes no difference! So in other words I am being held until death! Allison the head Social Worker agreed to get me 2 long jeans, 1 short, and 1 or 2 T-shirts as a replacement for what was missing from my laundry. They were supposed to be replacements so why was $76 + change deducted from my account? It makes no difference if I had $15.2 Billion or $76.They had no right to confiscate my money!! I have been here since 7/09 and through 3 owners! The latest, I have no doubt it will not be the last, turned this place into a for profit Nursing Home, or a Health I Don't Give A F Facility! read more
