He was not only on-site for the rebuild but was on our roof supervising every aspect of the construction as well as working himself to insure everything was done expertly. He kept us posted on every aspect of the project, to include cost, schedule, expectations, etc. While our roof was under tarp, Greg came out to the house every morning to inspect the tarp to ensure it was secure. As we put the word out to landscape designers, we started to get contacted by several companies wanting to quote the work. Steve from S & L was the first to respond. He was punctual and professional at the estimate appointment, COMPLETELY understood the assignment as we described what we wanted and provided a very reasonable quote for the work we requested (he even provided us with a thorough sketch of our vision the very next day!) This was a marked difference from the other companies - some wanted to charge us just for their plan (!), some had to be chased down for a follow up, some missed their scheduled appointments and others were ridiculously high with their estimates. Throughout the planting/installation process, Steve and his team were in constant communication with us, asking us to check their progress as we moved forward so that we were all on the same page (even offering GREAT suggestions). My wife and I could not be happier with the results. We have a beautiful lawn of new sod, several beds of native Florida plants and trees and dramatic uplighting that makes our home look like it was photographed by House and Garden. They were always on time, cleaned up beautifully and were very knowledgeable about all types of landscaping - They discovered when removing an old flower bed from around one of our oak trees that the tree had actually died. The roots were dead. We would never have known without their expertise. We called a tree service and they are coming to remove the oak tree. It has been a month since they sodded the yard and it looks absolutely beautiful. Tim answered all my questions regarding watering, fertilization, etc. and always returned my texts and phone calls promptly.
