Great place to get many certifications and from what I have found it is cheaper then most other places in Tulsa and the instructor is funny

Problem was my nurse. She gave off the persona of a lost careless sloth, slow, no sense of urgency and w/o much interest to how well the job was performed nor idea of what she was really doing. Maybe she was new or was end of day & stopped caring. Regardless not okay + everything took multiple tries like my heart rate, blood pressure, and most importantly gluing the cut on my head, which is what I went in for and never got 100% fixed. After being glued up by the nurse, went into the car and realized I was still bleeding. Went back in for a touch up and by then the office was closing so I had to leave right away. When I went home I still had a section that wasn't glued up and all the blood ended up dripping out of that opening. Could have done better myself with some glue from the drug store while concussed. After resting for a day, my shin had began to hurt really from when I fell backwards down some steps stairs after my head impact. Went to a hospital to ensure no fractures, which they confirmed was just a bad bruise. Wish I had gotten everything done with one visit instead of having to go to the hospital less than 48 hours later and waste a bunch of $$$ and time. Think a few of their 5 star reviews are also fake. I did but go here because it was close to where I got injured & of the high rating on Yelp. They also have offices in Michigan where I'm from so thought if I needed to go back it would have been easier. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you need a script or something from the doctor and not any assistance from the nurse.

DO NOT USE PICMED-TULSA…read more My wife needed a health exam to update her health records required for immigration to the US. We took her native country's health records to them and they did the exam. All seemed to go well. And we were glad there weren't any additional shots needed to complete the USCIS requirements. We submitted the paperwork to the USCIS it was rejected and returned as incomplete because PicMed hadn't given my wife the additional shots she still needed to meet US health requirements for citizenship. When I called them about the issue they denied they had done anything wrong! They just passed me off to a manager who was quite rude. Then never offered to make it right by administering the needed shots! Needless to say, we had to complete the medical evaluation AGAIN but had to drive to OKC to get the requirement completed! We PAID total of over $500 + $100 for the interpretor to Picmed-Tulsa. Then we had to pay over $500 + $100 for another interpretor + travel expenses for the exam in OKC. It's difficult and expensive enough to go through the immigration process with the USCIC. But PicMed-Tulsa adder insult to injury when they deny fault and cause is to double our expenses in an already costly and process. This is even harder to take when PicMed-Tulsa is on a PRESCRIBED EXAM PROVIDER for the USCIS. I could only imagine the kind of fraud they perpetrate on poor people who come to the US, trying to enter legally, when neither husband nor wife can speak English!

I came here to visit my Dad while he was in the ICU before he passed on Thanksgiving Day this year…read more Although my Dad had to be moved from being on a ventilator, being in the ICU, being in step down care, etc., I can't say enough good things about the staff that I interacted with at Hillcrest. From the time my Dad called me to tell me that he was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer to the day I saw him in the ICU was exactly one month to the day - and he was dead just a couple weeks later. The staff answered my questions without beating around the bush which I appreciated. While my siblings and I were very pragmatic about our Dad's prognosis, my Mom and my Dad's extended family weren't taking it so well. My mom was at the hospital 24/7, sleeping in a chair in my Dad's room to be by his side. The staff were incredibly gracious and kind to my Mom. They let all of the family filter in, pray, talk, etc., for as long as they wanted outside of shift change. While I was out of the country on the night of my Dad's passing, a few of my siblings were there and they let me know that the staff allowed more than 2 people at a time to go in and sit with my Dad's body for a few hours to grieve, which I know my family appreciated. The only drawback for my visit to Hillcrest was that the cafeteria was rough for gluten-free options as a celiac. I went an entire day on just a bag of Cheetos from the cafeteria while I sat in my Dad's room. If I needed to stay longer at the hospital, I would have had to order safe food from outside of the hospital. Overall, my interaction with security, nurses, interns and doctors was fantastic in such a stressful time that I didn't have much time to prepare for. Visited: November 2025

They told him that he would pass the stone. The next day he was worse than ever. His physician told us to take him back to the emergency room. We called in advance, and the wait was over 6 hours. I called OSU hospital, and they said that the wait was 1-1/2 hours, but if he was really bad, they would put him in the front of the line. So we took him to OSU...after tests, they determined that he had kidney infections! The hospital was full, so they made a very comfortable room in the emergency room. His canal between his kidneys and bladder were narrowed, so they had to perform an emergency surgery to put in a stent. After two days, he's like a new man. OSU saved his life. In Tulsa, the default hospitals are St. Francis (where my mother worked for years) and St. Johns. I'm sold on OSU.
