When I left Lola, I felt completely reassured that my pup would be treated like one of Gloria's own. Lola was supplied with a dog bed since I forgot to bring hers. She had plenty of toys to play with in her pen and outside in the turf area! When I returned to get Lola she was so happy and hardly wanted to leave Gloria's side! I was Blessed to receive her from my next door Neighbor when she was 6 weeks old. Annie's Father, JJ, is a beautiful Rust-Colored Sort-of-Lab, very laid-back, loving, and oh-so-sweet. I met JJ when he came to my front porch and confiscated my shoes, a pillow from my chair, etc. etc. You get the point! ... Annie's mother is Mollie - a regular little spit-fire! ...There were 3 puppies to choose from, and I held each one in my arms, and when I held Annie, my heart just simply skipped a beat, and I knew she was the one - I was hoping for more of JJ's personality - but that was not to be ... At first, Annie slept in her little doggie bed on my bed at night - she would reach her little paw across the pillow & tousle my hair & look at me with those big brown eyes, and I would simple melt with love for her .. BUT .. Annie did NOT get along well with my Gusty! My Sweet Gusty who has been with me for 13 years! My Sweet Gusty who has ridden bikes with me all over the country ... My Sweet Gusty who has attended Conferences with me all over the country ... No - My Sweet Annie only wanted to bite and chew on Gusty's ears - and Gusty was having none of that - soooooo... Annie moved to the back porch after it was transformed into Annie's Apartment .. We just hadn't counted on Annie pulling the indoor/outdoor carpet from the porch or chewing the cord from two vacuum cleaners, or chewing the wood from the door frame ... but she did .. sooooo ... we built a little Courtyard for My Sweet Annie just outside the Back Door complete with a Misting Spray for very warm weather, a Brand New Little Cabin with her Name on the Roof, a Lean-To with Roof for her to Stretch and Enjoy, toys, a large contained pet bed with soft pet pillow for the back porch for winter when it's cool .. BUT ... My Annie ate her name from the roof of her little cabin - then she ate the roof from her cabin - then she ate the front wall and back wall from her cabin - we replaced the roof with a steel roof - then she began to jump the 4 ft fence so we replaced that with a 6 ft fence - she enjoyed her big pet pillow during the winter but ate it day-by-day ... she enjoyed the misting spray and so far it still exits - walking My Sweet Annie was becoming quite the problem because she jerked, jumped high into the air & landed on her back on concrete, dirt, or rocks (she didn't seem to care), jerked the leash from my hands and ran amok thru the neighborhood until I could catch her - in other words, My Sweet Annie was a disobedient little Character - soooooo ... Ron enrolled her in Obedience School -- and she was the perfect little student - she fell hopelessly and helplessly in love with Otis while she was there - she followed directions - My Annie was on the President's List for Doggies - UNTIL - UNTIL - she came Home - then My Sweet Annie returned to her mischievous little self without a qualm. ... sooooooooo ... I met Kayla from Wheatland Dog Center in Omaha, Texas and My Sweet Annie has been there in "Summer Camp" for two weeks and has one week to go ... and My Sweet Annie is making PROGRESS! REAL PROGRESS! Annie has learned commands to prevent her from jumping on the person walking her - Annie has learned to play nice with other doggies - her new friends are Aussies Lily and Bella - Annie has learned to come inside the house without eating furniture or appliances or carpet - YES! My Sweet Annie is doing so well with Kayla at Wheatland Dog Center! Thank you, Kayla!! .. Now I can't say that My Sweet Annie has lost ALL of her mischief-making spirit - Kayla was gathering eggs the other Morning & Annie was trotting along side of her very nicely UNTIL Kayla set the bucket of eggs down to feed the horses - My Sweet Annie quickly grabbed two eggs from the bucket and ate them down shells & all! .. So I will be getting back My own Sweet Annie! Just a little more fine-tuned version! LOL ...Thank you, Kayla!

Of course, you can see my rating as a five star immediately so that so can choose whether to read on.  The reason that I say that I am the 'perfect candidate' is because I, as most people, love their pets as family or even as their children. I have loved my dogs over the decades and have sadly had to put several down from old age. To have to put your pet down is a terribly emotional time. I grew tired of it and decided that I would leave the hard stuff for my wife.  You might think, as a Police Officer, I would be a bit more stoic than that. My dogs become my shadow and my best friend. I'll train and love them, but my wife gets to do all the serious stuff. For example, if they have to go somewhere overnight, she handles it. When I used to take them, they would look into my eyes waiting to go out the door with me. Now, my wife doesn't mind doing what I can't do.  When my wife dropped my dogs off for an overnight at Dog Days of Sommer, she came out to the car telling me that my dogs were going to love it. She put my mind at ease letting me know that the staff loves the dogs, they were friendly and helpful. She assured me that the dogs are in good hands. The interior was clean, well kept, and open. There are large play areas.

I have repeatedly experienced serious communication and professionalism issues at this clinic. I had to escalate calls to supervisors more than once, yet the confusion and lack of clarity continued. Most recently, I asked for the total invoice for a tooth extraction, clearly emphasizing that this was not a dental cleaning. Despite repeating this several times, the receptionist still did not understand the request. She then claimed it would take "20 minutes" just to read off a bill, which is not credible and was used to avoid providing information that should be immediately accessible. When I pressed for accurate details, she became irritated and ultimately hung up on me. A veterinary clinic should be able to provide records, read invoices, understand basic procedure differences, and communicate professionally. This clinic has consistently failed to meet those standards. Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend this facility.

Instead of addressing the issue courteously and with professionalism and compassion, this tech actually yelled at us: "She isn't in! The vet isn't in! There is no one here to help you!" I have never experienced such callousness at a veterinary clinic before. I don't understand why they didn't behave like caring human beings when faced with someone in the position of having to euthanize a pet after a traumatic injury. We have had our bigger dog seen at this clinic, the vet was wonderful, the customer service at the clinic however was poor enough on this day that we feel compelled to leave a review.

To keep it simple, we were brought a baby that fit right into my hands--only a few days old. We bottle-fed him while he grew and grew. We picked up the basics pretty fast: sit, roll over, and don't eat until we say "go." But ol' buddy just kept getting bigger and bigger. His tail has a personality of its own... and the slobber! I weigh 115 pounds, and he's already up to 135. He's a big ol' Corso. Once he hit a certain point I wasnt comfortable walking him alone outside of my privacy fence. He HAS to be ran out daily and all the fetch and hide and seek wasnt enough. It didnt feel right and the less we got to do each day, the more wrestless he is. Nobody but me could go around him because he wants to jump all over everyone. He drug my 7 yr old around by his hood once... another time he pulled his shirt off by his sleeve. I taught him "between" so he comes and sits and that turned into him going between my 7 year olds legs and picking him up and flipping him off. Walks turned me into a flag. He busted out a window wanting in and the back door. Our new neighbor kids couldnt go outside without hearing him bark nonstop and his bark is scary. I reviewed all the bootcamps around and went into a few for a visual to help. When I went in here I was greeted by pets being picked up by their owner after a day at daycare and being dropped off for an afternoon! I couldnt stop smiling bc there wasnt one dog that didnt look excited about being there! After reviewing and questioning i booked for him to go while I went out of state for almost 2 weeks. I called to check up on him bc like I said its a love hate thing and I know I have no business having this breed, Ive only had Boston terriers and a pug! But it happend and im trying to make it work and I missed him. Hank got on and got me caught up on where they were and asked me questions to help them to keep succeeding. I never ever felt rushed or like I was annoying anyone with questions. And When I got back to my Gigantor, He was a brand new boy! No jumping! Ive only been home 3 days and ive walked morning, as soon as it cools off and then again for a night walk. Ive passed other humans and animals! We also got to go in for a one on one and when we pulled into their parking lot he started squeeling with excitement in the backseat! If I even expected that, I would have recorded it. Then as soon as he seen Hank, (his trainor) he got even more excited and ran to him ready to work! Thats how you know its a good place!!! Not just bc my boy acts like hes been doing this well the entire time but a dog like him does NOT react happily to someone that didnt treat him right. Heck I think Bant would love to live there too. I was so worried my heart was going to be broken because I couldnt do what he NEEDED, to help him be more confident. Keep in mind Ive been going threw some health things during important stages. But I tried and sometimes it just takes that village. So if your in a situation that you need help with like how mine was beyond too much for me, this is the perfect one! I cant stop talking about it. He finally got to meet all the neighbors!! It was so relieving I was about in tears. We now have a furrever pup sitter!
