He was having accidents in the house, resource guarding, dog aggression, human aggression, and reactivity. I went to Hands Full to help me train him, we did private behavioral training with Rusty. We worked on his aggression, reactivity, and resource guarding. Rusty taught both Toasty and I different commands and to better understand why Toasty was exhibiting those behaviors. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome of this experience. Over the last year, Toasty and I have worked diligently to progress his training. I can proudly say that he is no longer aggressive and barely has any episodes of resource guarding. He fits into my home a lot better and has the tools to relax his anxiety. He still has his moments of reactivity but they don't last as long and he is able to calm down much quicker afterwards. Thank you Hands Full and most of all thank you Rusty for helping us!!! They have ALWAYS gone above and beyond the care and boarding of my dogs and family's dogs. I ran out of food and they ended up getting some for them and wouldn't take extra money. i had a tire issue this last time (10/5/24) and couldn't get there by close. I called because I wasn't sure when they closed and they assured me they would wait my 20 minutes I was late before closing. we had 4 dogs and on the way to a family gathering, which we would have all missed. The young men that stayed saved us and were so nice as always. I will never go anywhere else to take my pets. forever grateful for them to keep my dogs!!!

Amazing! Wonderful! Studependous! My Annie is 13 months old! She is a little yellow lab with LOTS…read moreof personality! You might call her Miss Personality Plus! ... I was Blessed to receive her from my next door Neighbor when she was 6 weeks old. Annie's Father, JJ, is a beautiful Rust-Colored Sort-of-Lab, very laid-back, loving, and oh-so-sweet. I met JJ when he came to my front porch and confiscated my shoes, a pillow from my chair, etc. etc. You get the point! ... Annie's mother is Mollie - a regular little spit-fire! ...There were 3 puppies to choose from, and I held each one in my arms, and when I held Annie, my heart just simply skipped a beat, and I knew she was the one - I was hoping for more of JJ's personality - but that was not to be ... At first, Annie slept in her little doggie bed on my bed at night - she would reach her little paw across the pillow & tousle my hair & look at me with those big brown eyes, and I would simple melt with love for her .. BUT .. Annie did NOT get along well with my Gusty! My Sweet Gusty who has been with me for 13 years! My Sweet Gusty who has ridden bikes with me all over the country ... My Sweet Gusty who has attended Conferences with me all over the country ... No - My Sweet Annie only wanted to bite and chew on Gusty's ears - and Gusty was having none of that - soooooo... Annie moved to the back porch after it was transformed into Annie's Apartment .. We just hadn't counted on Annie pulling the indoor/outdoor carpet from the porch or chewing the cord from two vacuum cleaners, or chewing the wood from the door frame ... but she did .. sooooo ... we built a little Courtyard for My Sweet Annie just outside the Back Door complete with a Misting Spray for very warm weather, a Brand New Little Cabin with her Name on the Roof, a Lean-To with Roof for her to Stretch and Enjoy, toys, a large contained pet bed with soft pet pillow for the back porch for winter when it's cool .. BUT ... My Annie ate her name from the roof of her little cabin - then she ate the roof from her cabin - then she ate the front wall and back wall from her cabin - we replaced the roof with a steel roof - then she began to jump the 4 ft fence so we replaced that with a 6 ft fence - she enjoyed her big pet pillow during the winter but ate it day-by-day ... she enjoyed the misting spray and so far it still exits - walking My Sweet Annie was becoming quite the problem because she jerked, jumped high into the air & landed on her back on concrete, dirt, or rocks (she didn't seem to care), jerked the leash from my hands and ran amok thru the neighborhood until I could catch her - in other words, My Sweet Annie was a disobedient little Character - soooooo ... Ron enrolled her in Obedience School -- and she was the perfect little student - she fell hopelessly and helplessly in love with Otis while she was there - she followed directions - My Annie was on the President's List for Doggies - UNTIL - UNTIL - she came Home - then My Sweet Annie returned to her mischievous little self without a qualm. ... sooooooooo ... I met Kayla from Wheatland Dog Center in Omaha, Texas and My Sweet Annie has been there in "Summer Camp" for two weeks and has one week to go ... and My Sweet Annie is making PROGRESS! REAL PROGRESS! Annie has learned commands to prevent her from jumping on the person walking her - Annie has learned to play nice with other doggies - her new friends are Aussies Lily and Bella - Annie has learned to come inside the house without eating furniture or appliances or carpet - YES! My Sweet Annie is doing so well with Kayla at Wheatland Dog Center! Thank you, Kayla!! .. Now I can't say that My Sweet Annie has lost ALL of her mischief-making spirit - Kayla was gathering eggs the other Morning & Annie was trotting along side of her very nicely UNTIL Kayla set the bucket of eggs down to feed the horses - My Sweet Annie quickly grabbed two eggs from the bucket and ate them down shells & all! .. So I will be getting back My own Sweet Annie! Just a little more fine-tuned version! LOL ...Thank you, Kayla!

She got to run and play with the other dogs and had her own little place to sleep at night where we could watch her on my phone. They even had young people that went out and played with the dogs to keep them entertained! The problem was, when we picked her up after about 5 days, she had a cough (I didn't even know that dogs coughed) that I would later learn, from my vet, is know as "kennel cough" had to start antibiotics to finally recover! Was too bad because I really wanted to like this place and continue with them. Thinking about giving them another chance but I'm scared. She's an old dog now and probably couldn't survive this again.

I asked many questions, called numerous times and left strict information about the needs of my pup and very little if any of the information I gave them was utilized in making her stay the least bit pleasant or comfortable for her. She was scared out of her wits. They put the small dogs in the same rooms as the large dogs, regardless of whether you request or explain that your pup cannot handle that. They give you a trial half day in which you're able to see you dog during the time they are in the play area. However, what I noticed and mentioned was that my pup never took her eye off of the human, in fact was on their tail if not right on their heels. She was trying to tell them she was not comfortable around all these dogs. But they did nothing, not even after my 4 or 5 calls to the staff while I was boarding her during her stay. Afterward, my vet said she was so traumatized that we're are still having to monitor her for Addison's disease. It's now 4 months later and she's still struggling with anxiety. I'm going to have to take her to a behaviorist to try to get her back to the fun loving puppy she was before this experience. It may be very clean, but that's where the Good ends! While they repeatedly stated she received individual hugs, cuddles and pets. I never saw once until the last day I called which was the days before I was picking her up and it happened 3 times that day, but who knows what happened once she was off the video cameras. DO NOT LEAVE YOU LITTLE DOGS HERE!!! I spent my entire vacation watching the camera's at all times I was allowed to watch because I did not like what I was seeing and I called just about every day or other day. The day I picked her up they had to drag her across the floor on the leash because she was so depressed she wouldn't even stand up and then even after she got in where she could have seen me. Her face was plastered to the ground because she was so scared and until I went over and reached down to pick her up she hadn't even looked up. That is simply unacceptable and appalling that in one weeks time by sweet active puppy went from what she looks like in the second photo to what she looks like in the first photo. There is simply NO ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE. IF I COULD RATE THEM A ZERO I WOULD. The 1st photo they took of her at the boarders when she was there, the website won't allow me to use a photo of Gracie looking the way she was before this place had her for a week. If you want to see that you can click on my name above and it's the profile photo. Finally after 8 months she's beginning to get back to her puppy self of before her time at this place. However, she's still not out of the woods for Addison's as he anxiety about being left is still extreme. Warning unless they made a change to separating small dogs and big dogs, I don't recommend leaving your little dogs at this boarder. And if you do make sure you pay for the highest Suite package so that you have 24 hour viewing. I was told that was what I was booked for, until we got there and then they said sorry we don't have one available for all your dates, as apparently one of their regular came in and wanted the top suite so Gracie was tossed a bone and asked if we would be ok with the next highest which is only watch during the playtime feed. That is not good enough.

They are consistent, on time, and all have been friendly. My dog happily goes with any of the walkers. They send pictures and reports of each visit. They are attentive to the property, and are careful to be sure doors are closed to prevent a breakaway. I swear my dog has figured out the schedule and knows when they are coming, and checks the door often.

At 4 I called, and M. Said she would check on him and be right back. 7 minutes later I rolled to voice mail. I Said I was concerned, and reminded them he has a kidney problem and drinks a lot, pees a lot, and must have access to water, call me back. No call back. An hour later I went to get him. When I got him home he drank a half a gallon; he had clearly had water withheld. If this is a one off, I might forgive. But this was poor communication, and failure to follow direction. Not good.
