She showed me where Lola would be staying (in her own deluxe suite) and I saw the large play area where the dogs play together. When I left Lola, I felt completely reassured that my pup would be treated like one of Gloria's own. Lola was supplied with a dog bed since I forgot to bring hers. She had plenty of toys to play with in her pen and outside in the turf area! When I returned to get Lola she was so happy and hardly wanted to leave Gloria's side! My dogs were at a place for boarding while I was out of town for a week. One of my dogs was rapidly…read moredeclining, and the boarding place moved my dogs (with my permission) to this place. They monitored my dogs the whole time. There is someone there the whole time. My older dog lost a tooth while he was there, and when we picked him up, they gave us the tooth in a ziplock bag. My dog went down hill rapidly when we got home from our trip. So a week later, I took him back to this place. And sadly, it was time to put him to sleep. But I got that extra week with him in between boarding and putting him down. I have since gone back with my other dog. And they are taking great care of my dog. They diagnosed allergies with him and gave me a 2 treatment plans to choose from. They also cleared up pink eye for him. And have given him his shots. I especially love that the place is clean, the people are friendly, and it seems organized and not overly busy. So many vets these days are so busy. They have 10 dogs or animals waiting to be seen, and 1 vet who goes from one to the next. This place seems more like 1-2 dogs in the lobby, and vets to see them. I am so glad to finally have found a vet I like in the Wichita area. I think this is the 5th one I've visited in the year that I have lived in south-central Kansas. Finally found a vet I love!

Had to call several times to get a return call and Doctor was EXTREMELY rude including yelling at me "what do I get out of it by saving you money". After not allowing him to bully me into buying from him he agreed to a written prescription that I had to pick up myself and mail in (rather than him just pushing the easy button and keeping a client). My husband left several messages after that for a callback to discuss his unprofessionalism and he called me instead to say my husband needs to stop threatening them! Then he tried to tell me I had to pay $5 by state law to transfer my records (not true - new vet already had them). His final words to me were "adios" (more professionalism). I see from other reviews he tends to disrespect anyone not bowing to him - which might be why his staff has acted rudely to others but the staff was always great to me.

I am generally a little anxious about leaving my dogs with people, but they put me at ease and my boys had a great stay. I also love that their facility doesn't use crates to hold dogs while boarding, so even the most basic room has a raised bed and is temp controlled.

Of course, you can see my rating as a five star immediately so that so can choose whether to read on.  The reason that I say that I am the 'perfect candidate' is because I, as most people, love their pets as family or even as their children. I have loved my dogs over the decades and have sadly had to put several down from old age. To have to put your pet down is a terribly emotional time. I grew tired of it and decided that I would leave the hard stuff for my wife.  You might think, as a Police Officer, I would be a bit more stoic than that. My dogs become my shadow and my best friend. I'll train and love them, but my wife gets to do all the serious stuff. For example, if they have to go somewhere overnight, she handles it. When I used to take them, they would look into my eyes waiting to go out the door with me. Now, my wife doesn't mind doing what I can't do.  When my wife dropped my dogs off for an overnight at Dog Days of Sommer, she came out to the car telling me that my dogs were going to love it. She put my mind at ease letting me know that the staff loves the dogs, they were friendly and helpful. She assured me that the dogs are in good hands. The interior was clean, well kept, and open. There are large play areas.
