Our driveway is 1/4 mile long, and we had my grandfather visiting (whose health is declining), so it is incredibly important that emergency services are able to reach our cottage should the need arise. I called the direct business line and the owner himself (Michael) answered, at 11:15 pm on a Tuesday, mind you, and personally arrived less than an hour later to plow us out. He even shoveled our steps and pathway. I can't remember the last time anyone has gone so far above and beyond the call of duty....and we had just signed up with them a couple of months prior. The workers were all very professional and warm, on schedule, and did a solid B+/A- job of cleaning - vacuuming, dusting, bathrooms, kitchen, etc. Clear out was also fine. However, one side of a sliding pocket door was knocked off its hanging rail by the cleaners (it's never had an issue in 30+ years). I think they may have opened it too far when sliding open. When I noticed it before they left, they acknowledged it happened. Later, following up through our realtor, Relax & Co refused to accept responsibility or to fix it. Relax & Co never reached out to me directly to try to remedy the problem. If you break something while working on my property, that should be your responsibility to fix. Their workers were fine, but I would not trust this company at the management level to hire them again.

Scott's has served us very well. They cleared out overgrown and jumbled land on a hilly slope and…read moreremoved debris and rocks, prepared the soil, and planted 3 cyprus trees, and 3 shrubs. The results were gorgeous and they took care to make sure the area (already spongy) would drain properly. Additionally, Scott's had helped us locate and purchase the trees we needed during challenging COVID times when trees were often hard to find. They provided excellent customer service from the time they scoped out the work through planting, and follow-up care. In addition to our tree project, Scott's did extensive weeding and clean-up in areas that had been neglected for 2 years. Their gardener is knowledgeable about planting and about plants themselves and easy to communicate with. He gave great advice--and worked like an expert "partner" with my elderly Mom who knows a bit about gardening but can no longer get out to do it. The landscapers doing the excavation and tree and shrubs planting and general heavy lifting were smart, knowledgeable, able, strong, adept, resourceful, careful, flexible, courteous and respectful. They were skillful with their equipment and went above and beyond after I'd mentioned my Dad who recently passed loved rocks and if they could add some of them on top of the soil to plant around we'd be grateful--I don't know how he did it but he used his rugged backhoe(?) to delicately pick up rock by rock from the massive piled of dirt and then--by hand--made nice rock arrangements. We are having them back to spruce up the yard and to create a strategy for my Mom's perennial garden in the areas where the trees are planted, and beyond. Professional, efficient, skilled, pleasant, and overall good company to work with.
