I had them inspect my chimney which needed to have the tile lining repaired. They estimated $3500 for the work which ultimately cost over $5000. Before they touched it, my chimney had worked fine for 20 years. After they "fixed" it, my chimney no longer drafts as it used to and I get a lot of smoke backing into the house -- even with the damper wide open. Will be installing to a wood stove to fix the problems resulting from their work. A stove that they will NOT be involved with.

On the day of the install, a sub contractor showed up instead of Bedford Home Improvement employees. Bruce was at my home for the first 30 minutes then left. The sub contractor was in such a hurry to get the job done in one day they did not replace some of the plywood that the contract stated would be replaced. As result the roof shingles are lifting in some areas which will impact the life of the roof. I had called, texted and e-mailed Bruce with limited response saying he will take care of it. After months of trying to resolve this I am now taking him to small claims court. I wish I had not used Bedford Home Improvement. Bob B.

Bedford Home Improvement is our Go-To contractor for house painting & repairs. Our previous…read moreexperiences with Bruce Randal was everything we expected in terms of quality of work, workmanship capabilities of his employees & professionalism. We had our house painted and had some structural repairs and finish work done. His prices are very fair compared to others, and his business success is mostly by word-of-mouth. His employees are very considerate and make it a point to clean up at the end of each day's work. Bruce is very particular about the work he and his crew performs for his customers. In particular is Bruce's follow-up after the work is completed, both near-term, and a year later, to confirm we were still satisfied with his work, or if anything needed to be addressed. You just can't find a contractor like that anymore and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

When they arrived it turned out that the water was not coming from where we both thought it was. More work and discovery was needed. I feared that this might change the quote. It didn't, thank God! Once confirmed witha water test, they quickly fixed the problem, cleaned up, and left me a very happy customer.

By the way, one of their competitors whom I won't mention but do "all things basementy", wanted to charge me double what Arta charged me. - Bill G Manchester
