It did take some time for them to respond to my numerous requests, but the result was that they showed that my initial trust in them was warranted. The Solar Solution team was helpful, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to deal with from start to finish. They explained the technology and the complex permit process, as well as the tax and grant processes. They handled all the paperwork for our DC grant. Between the DC grant and the Federal tax credit 70% of our installation was paid for. Now we're gaining credits instead of monster electric bills during A/C season. We also elected to become "partners" with Pepco and Solar handled all that paperwork too. We get a nice not-so-little check every quarter for the SRECs that our system produces. If you're interested in going Solar, I highly recommend Solar Solution. They make a daunting home improvement a lot easier.

For several years, I had considered going solar, and after thorough research, I finally decided the…read moretiming was right. That's when the real work began. I was very specific about how I wanted my 10 KW system designed--both in scope and budget. I also wanted to work with an installer who was deeply familiar with the incentives available in my area. That criterion alone narrowed down the list significantly. When I began reaching out to various companies, I quickly discovered a frustrating trend: many solar installers were locked into a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach and were unable (or unwilling) to work outside of a limited system design. My project required string inverter build, which further complicated the search. Another challenge I encountered was a general lack of knowledge among some companies' sales teams. Many couldn't confidently discuss critical elements like system components or even the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which is currently in the phase-out period--making it even more urgent for homeowners to act now. After speaking with many companies, I had the good fortune of connecting with Ms. Elena Zenke, owner of Bee Happy Solar. From our first conversation, I knew she was different. She was knowledgeable, flexible, and respectful of both my timeline and payment preferences. She welcomed my involvement in the design process, listened to my needs, and collaborated with me to ensure the system met my vision. Bee Happy Solar is the only company I know of that offers both string inverter and micro inverter solutions, which speaks to their technical versatility. A few months after my installation, I upgraded my home modem and lost connection to my inverter's monitoring system. Elena personally came back to my home and assisted with a support call to the micro inverter manufacturer until the issue was resolved. That level of post-installation service truly solidified my trust in her and her company. The installation crew was professional, efficient, and meticulous in their work. One of the installers even helped me resolve a minor issue with my skylight--completely unrelated to the solar project--and did so at no charge. That act of generosity did not go unnoticed. Post-installation, Ms. Zenke continued to go above and beyond. She assisted in completing additional paperwork for incentives such as the Baltimore County Property Tax Credit and the Maryland Solar Access Grant. In summary, Bee Happy Solar exceeded my expectations at every stage--design, installation, follow-up, and incentive processing. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone considering solar, especially if you're looking for a customized approach backed by exceptional service and expertise.

Scott (the designer) was able to efficiently design a system for my southeast and southwest facing roofs so that it not only looked great but was also well balanced for our inverters. Bottom line I would gladly recommend Advanced Solar to anyone looking to have a worry free solar panel installation at a reasonable and fair cost. His team comes out when they say they will and do the job right. Service and system advice after the install is all part of the job too. Only downside for solar panels for new folks to consider is to be aware that in winter - accumulated snow on the panels may suddenly slide off the panels during temperature changes. As a family of 4 with 2 full-time working parents and 2 babies under two, Celestial Solar's support was nothing short of amazing for us. When we met with the owner Jim at our home, he was extremely knowledgeable and completely low-pressure. He never tried to upsell us on anything unnecessary. The entire process was seamless. Celestial Solar handled everything behind the scenes--permits, electrical work, utility coordination, and even helping us register for SRECs. Their crew installed the full 20 panel system in less than a day! Their 10-year workmanship warranty and 25 year panel warranty gave us total peace of mind, and everyone on the team was friendly and kept us updated at every step.
