She said it was one of the best milkshakes she ever had. They put a bunch of fresh strawberries inside and she said it wasn't too sweet but just perfect. My husband ordered a cookies and cream milkshake. He also said it was made really well and was not too sweet. Just a clean creamy cookie flavor. Of course we had to try the doughnuts. I ordered an apple and a chocolate with sprinkles. The apple was really good! It was freshly baked, and the filling was delicious and had a nice cinnamon flavor. The chocolate was also very good! They are big donuts too! 2 for $5. Now to the delicious soft pretzels! They are freshly baked, soft, buttery, and delicious!!! You can also get them in garlic, cinnamon, and sour cream and onion. They have pretzel dogs too. Fresh fudge anyone? They have a large variety of fudge treats. They have fresh meats, jewelry, furniture, and other items for sale as well. It's surprising how much they can squeeze into the space they have and not feel like it's crowded. There's also tables, cafeteria style, if you choose to eat there. If you visit their website, they offer coupons (e.g., $1 off brownies, free pretzel w/ purchase of a milkshake, etc.) you can print out. Normally, it is only open Thursday through Saturday. During certain holidays they do open other days of the week. For Christmas week, they're open Monday through Wednesday since they're closed on December 25th and 26th. For New Year's week, they're open Wednesday since they're closed on Thursday (New Year's Day).

Unlike some of the bigger farms around, this is very low key. No fancy rides or petting zoos, nothing like that. Just some nice fruit picking. That also means there isn't some ridiculous entry fee, or bag fee, or whatever. Pay for what you pick, that's it. Just what we were looking for. I've gone apple picking a lot, but never grape picking, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's easy to do, the grape plants are low enough that kids can easily pick them. This a great place to spend some time with your family, have some fun, and pick some delicious concord grapes. Also unlike a lot of places, the price for the picked grapes is very fair. Depending where you're coming from, it can be quite a trek to get here. It was a little over an hour for me coming from Bergen County. Well worth it. We watched the head rooster chase around the others in the pen. Inside the small farm store, they had seasonal local vegetables and eggs. The eggs were dated to indicate that they were laid that day, and they are $5.50 a dozen or $10.50 for two dozen. Can't get any fresher than that! Their website indicated that they sell chicken twice a year, although there was no indication inside the store regarding that. Most items are marked, but there were several variety of tomatoes that were not specifically priced. I wanted some tomatoes but I didn't get any because I didn't know the price. It is a self service honor system, with a cash box. Make a stop here if you are in the area!

Even the shape of the turkey was different. It walked around happily all summer long. There was no oversized breast weighting it down. Lots of tasty dark meat.
