Great place - beautiful place to pick your own. Good berries for sure. I am curious about whether they are organic or not? Worth asking. :)

Hunterdon Land Trust Farmer's Market is a small farmer's market located on Dvoor Farm in Raritan…read moreTownship. The market provides shoppers with the opportunity to browse locally grown produce, plants, honey, breads, soap, cheese, baked goods, and crafts (hand-knitted items from alpaca wool and beautifully hand made wood desks, bird houses, etc.) They feature live music and a variety of seminars each week, so check the rotating schedule on the market's website: http://hunterdonlandtrust.org/farmers-market/ I visited this farmer's market primarily to buy plants from the Toadshade Farm kiosk, which did not disappoint. There is an emphasis on locally grown plants and the man who sold them to me took time and care to explain each plant to me - where it should go in the garden, the care required, how it was cultivated, etc. Many of the food vendors also had samples to try. The cheese vendors were wonderful. The breads were also VERY creative (duck fat focaccia... sign me up!) Although some vendors took credit cards, others were cash/check only so I would recommend that you bring some cash with you and smaller bills. For those of us who are in northern NJ, it is an easier ride now that the summer is over. It is also a pretty ride and worth supporting our local growers.

This market has become one of my favorite ways to start a Saturday morning. It's located in the big…read morehall of the old Stangl Factory, the entrance right next to Alkemy Coffee! The vendors range from produce to honey to bread, little gifts perfect for the holidays, handmade soaps, lotions and candles and so much more. On my last trip I got some fresh veggies and fruit, a jar of honey and a loaf of sourdough bread. The bread was some of my favorite sourdough I've had. Perfect soft and the crust not too hard or crunchy. The honey is also getting lots of use and for $12 for a pretty big jar it is not too bad a deal. The produce was probably the most expensive part of the haul, but just happy to have a bit of an organic stock around. Next time I visit, I'm tempted to try the raviolis (from the same vendor that I got the honey) or maybe even take a closer look at some of the gifts since the holidays are quickly approaching. Parking is easy with the massive lot, but it for sure gets busy for the market. Worth a stop in! Grab a coffee next door after and check out some of the other nearby shops like the new antique store across the street or the pottery studio next door.

And people are so friendly here, not at all pushy to make a sale, but having a great time just conversing. We sampled some tasty boba, smelt some alcohol inspired coffee beans, oohed at the variety of salads, awwed at the cute selection of children's books, ate a piece of the most delicious tres leches ever, inhaled some relaxing lavender scents, got inspired by artistic cat purses, and regretted not having enough tummy space for empanadas, cookies or chocolates. After purchasing our goodies, we walked around the factory and found some tables near an art gallery. It's very spacious and open for exploring, and there's a great looking coffee shop attached as well. Its also connected to a bunch of other stores in the area, like a retro downtown. Definitely a great gem.

But it's small and well designed and gives an old world intimate feel. Kudos to the designer of the space - they know how to tug at people's emotions. But that's about all they could tug at from me here at commercial insurance and registration renewal week. Mandy ain't got it. $4.99 lb/tomatoes?? My local farm has a farm stand where they're $2/lb including heirlooms. Like - please bffr. Here's where this spot excels - the baked goods. Salted caramel chocolate chip cookies. The texture is DIVINE. Heaven sent. Easily a top 3 cookie in my lifetime. 9.99 for 5. And worth every penny. You don't need canned goods from here. I'd even argue you don't need meat from here. But you def need the cookies.

This was absolutely delicious. Real meats. Hearty sandwich. I was not hungry for dinner. $13.95 Walking around the inside of the store is beautiful. Even the bathroom is beautifully stained wood. Tons of great looking locally sourced products. Much larger than a "farm stand" fresh made sandwiches, salads and soups. But looks like everything you need is here. Lots of frozen meats. Lots of vegetables and fruits. Wish I wasn't an hour away. This feels like it would be at home in Lancaster PA.

All the food and products are from the Amish people. Everyone is so friendly and the service is fast and efficient. My mom ordered a strawberry milkshake. She said it was one of the best milkshakes she ever had. They put a bunch of fresh strawberries inside and she said it wasn't too sweet but just perfect. My husband ordered a cookies and cream milkshake. He also said it was made really well and was not too sweet. Just a clean creamy cookie flavor. Of course we had to try the doughnuts. I ordered an apple and a chocolate with sprinkles. The apple was really good! It was freshly baked, and the filling was delicious and had a nice cinnamon flavor. The chocolate was also very good! They are big donuts too! 2 for $5. Now to the delicious soft pretzels! They are freshly baked, soft, buttery, and delicious!!! You can also get them in garlic, cinnamon, and sour cream and onion. They have pretzel dogs too. Fresh fudge anyone? They have a large variety of fudge treats. They have fresh meats, jewelry, furniture, and other items for sale as well. I wished we had more time to explore and try more things. They are only open on Thursdays and Saturdays until 3:00 PM.
