Clearly the librarian was attempting to practice law without a license. The lady needs to be investigated as she is giving legal advice on international documents and has not a clue what she's talking about.

As libraries go, this is rather retro in the sense that it still has a lot of physical books and some, but not a ton of spaces for people to sit or do meetings. I imagine the library of the future being a ton of little rooms for zoom meetings. That being said, this tiny town doesn't seem to place too much demand on the space, and it's a nice place to be.

I recently attended a Fruit Tree Disease Management class there and was thoroughly impressed with the facility! It's a huge building with ample parking. It has several very nice meeting rooms and they offer all sorts of free classes. They put out a newsletter each month with all of the classes and events listed. I'll definitely be visiting for more events soon. One really nice service is that you can request books from the library and pick them up/drop them off at the box just outside Kroger in Brannon Crossing. If you live in the north side of Jessamine county, this makes getting library materials much more convenient.

As soon as your book is ready, they email and text you. You can go anytime the library is open to pick up the book. I think they hold the book for several days, In case you can't come get it when it's ready. You pull up to the curbside spot and call the library. They bring it out within minutes. It's so fast and easy!! If the book isn't available, they put you in line for the book and text you when it is your turn to check it out.

I have to confess though that, on this particular day, I was visiting in order to visit the rotunda which features the world's largest ceiling clock, a 5-story Foucault pendulum, and a frieze depicting the history of the horse on the Bluegrass. Beautiful! It was also clear that this is a "living library" -- with many patrons (including school students), signs for community events, and Ask a Librarian research assistance. There is a parking garage next door (the library validates for up to two hours) and some street parking.

Young library has 5 floors with about 5-6 cores (another word for the different sections they have inside the library). It's a massive library, and definitely has a Hogwarts feel to it. We were on the 5th floor, sat in a very open area. All the tables were occupied in our area but it wasn't overcrowded. We were able to talk and it didn't seem like we were disturbing anyone around else as we were catching up. It also wasn't cold inside the library, which was great because that means I never have to worry about bringing a blanket with me next time I work here again. The chairs, although wooden, were actually pretty comfortable and being surrounded with the right people, time flew back quickly. UK also has a great guest wifi that you can access easily by creating a quick account. You're allowed to connect up to 5 devices on that wifi account. No student ID needed to get in, so definitely looking forward to working here again.

The higher you go, the quieter it gets, which is great for focusing. Each floor has a mix of open tables and private rooms to study, so every student can find their own ideal spot. There are plenty of seating options, from regular chairs to comfy couches. The staff you see are almost always helpful if you need anything. I love coming here to study for tests/exams because I always get more Motivated. There are also so many resources available, and the Starbucks inside makes it easy to grab food without leaving the building.
