My kid is being bullied by another kid named moon river, my kid tried telling the office but they only gave him A warning. This has been happening for almost three years . My child told me that he yelled out the n word and more things. He choked my kids friend and only got another warning. This would've gotten a better review if the staff would've just suspended Moon river.This might be my fault for not taking my child out of that school but this is the only school closest to us. My daughter has been attending this school for the past two years. She has had a great experience so far. The new principal is great. He takes the time to listen to parent's concerns and actually takes action to make things better. I see him out on the playground engaging with the kids during recess and is outside after school talking with parents and helping direct traffic. My daughter's teacher is amazing, which makes such a difference in a child's eagerness to learn. She does not want to miss a day of school. read more

Literally the WORST school year both my children have ever had. We just moved into the riverside school district and had heard such wonderful things expressed about it. Maybe they were talking about a different school. My son has a 3rd grade teacher more intent on covering her self as a teacher than helping him with his reading issues. After numerous conferences and my expressed concerns, finally got a meeting with other staff and my son is finally being evaluated. Even though his teacher says if I had only expressed my concerns sooner. I was in tears, expressing my concerns in past conferences and had I only done this sooner?! Are you kidding me? She makes sure to tell the other staff that she had no idea. Wow. Great, thanks for that. My daughter is in 4th grade and had a teacher that literally had the kids do nothing all day. He would send papers home that required my signature with no instructions on what they were for. I would call and leave him messages, nothing. I called the school and they couldn't figure it out either. I showed up for parent teacher conference he couldn't find my child's information for 10 minutes. Saying yeah Sofia's great. That's not my daughters name. He gets fired/retired and gets replaced with a new teacher 2/3 months left of school. And then my daughter tells me one of the proctors is singling her out for no apparent reason. She tells me things some of the other teachers tell kids and I can understand her reluctance to go to school every day. Now I know, you're thinking oh she thinks her kids are perfect. But I can assure you they are kids and have bad days. However, both my kids have never had any disciplinary issues at their old school and received numerous awards student of the month, academic awards, responsibility awards, etc. This past school year has been THE hardest and most troublesome year we've had ever. If you have a choice on where to send your kids, go somewhere else. read more

Worst school ever! If I could post 0 stars I would! If you are considering bringing your child to this school be prepared for bullying and punishment for pretending, despite the fact that they claim to be part of "leader in me" The only leader is the child that doesn't go to this school. My child was bullied and nothing was done. NOTHING! I requested to be transferred to a different class and was denied because the principal didn't want my child to feel she wasn't supported. Well guess what? She wasn't supported and the bulling continued. She was punished for being part of a pretend wedding on the play ground, and was singled out for harassment! Yes harassment for pretending. She got her skills day taken away for this, which she can never do again as this was her last year at this school. The teacher that reprimanded her for this( Mugridge) humiliated her in front of a group of kids by bringing up her struggles in math! This wasn't her main teacher and she knew of my child's struggle and yet never once offered her tutoring or a hand up, but she was quick to put her down! Her grades have been below basic and at risk for 3 years, she was diagnosed with anxiety and depression after starting this school and guess what kind of help my child got? NOTHING! Zero zilch nada. If you think the principal will do anything to help your child you either need to know a teacher personally or give kick backs otherwise you're screwed. Trust me and listen close find a different school and bring your child there. You get one chance and no one wants to have to see their child struggle with bullying and the result of its aftermath. Over the years this schools ratings have gone down and continues to go down to now a 2! A 2?! You have a choice and can request to go to a different school. I highly suggest you do that. read more

My kids have gone to WoodCrest for the past 4 years & this year has been the worst! The new principal seems beyond clueless!!!! The staff are all rude now & talk at you. I am so fed up this will probably be my children's last year here even tho they've attended since kindergarten. All my kids have gone to this school and by far it gets worse every year . My 1st two kids Were bullied the staff never did anything. my two youngest kids now attend and they hate it , they have told me that even staff bullying the kids I've asked for a transfer. read more
