Nothing beats a little retail therapy! I don't come here as often as I used to, but somehow, every visit still feels special. This afternoon, I stopped by a few premium brand stores, and every shopping experience was wonderful. On top of that, I also ended up getting quite a few steps in. By the time I got back to my car, I realized how much better I felt. Sometimes, a little shopping, a lot of walking, and a familiar place are all you need to reset.

At approximately 9:32 p.m., we were selecting our final items and were preparing to proceed to the cashier. At that moment, the store manager, Irene, approached us and stated that the store was closed. I acknowledged this and responded that we were simply finishing our last selection and would head to the register immediately. Despite this, Irene responded firmly with, "No. You need to go to the front of the store now. We are closed." In my experience as a frequent customer at this location and others, it is customary for stores to make a closing announcement over the intercom and allow customers already inside a brief grace period (typically 10-15 minutes to complete their purchases). This did not occur. If this location is so adamant about their closing procedures, then the door should have been closed prior to 9:30PM and/or Irene should have stood at the entrance informing ALL customers that they are no longer allowed to enter the store. However, given we had entered prior to closing time, we should have been granted the courtesy of at least 5 minutes. Instead, we were abruptly instructed to stop shopping and proceed immediately to the front. While I fully respect store closing procedures and employees' time, the manner in which this was handled felt unnecessarily dismissive and confrontational. Being spoken to in such a forceful way, especially after acknowledging the request, was disappointing and triggering and did not align with the level of customer service I have come to expect from TJ Maxx.

I went back this spring and got what I thought was another 100% cashmere sweater for a great price plus an athletic pullover. Unfortunately, I was with a friend and didn't have the time to try it on both things. When I got home and tried on both things, the sweater was incredibly itchy because it not all cashmere and it was mixed with wool and angora.... I also tried on an XL pullover that I purchased and it was swimming on me. I took back the sweater and the pull over and the sales girl with brown long curly hair could not have been ruder. She was shouting at me about the return policy and only swapped out the XL pullover for a size medium. I'm convinced she did that because she wanted the XL pullover for herself. I highly doubt I will be shopping here again. The staff is extremely unprofessional high school students that need adult supervision. When I bought the cashmere sweater two girls were shouting and arguing with one another about folding shirts. When I went this past Sunday, three kids were focused on getting the good watermelon candy out of the candy jar instead of helping customers.

This was my first time at this Prada store, located at the Woodbury Commons outlets. Last time I…read morevisited, the line to get in was very long and it was chilly outside, so we skipped it. Thankfully, this time the weather was beautiful and we only waited in line for a matter of minutes! It's a pretty large store and we were really excited about the shoes. I scored a pair of ballet flats that were around 50 percent less than what you'd get them for normally. The bags didn't seem to be as marked down, but maybe they'll have a bigger sale closer to the holidays. The store associates were all very helpful and attentive. I'll absolutely be back the next time I visit the outlets!

Unfortunately our main purpose (lunch) was an ordeal. The food court was packed, even at 2:30 PM on a weekday (thanks New Years break!) We had to stake out a table for twenty minutes, stalking a random family or two in order to find a spot to sit. On top of that, it was as if the eatery locations had no clue as to how busy they would be (even though it would have been obvious to any staffing manager!) But this place is shopping and shopping first and they have all the stores you could need. Overall, it earns 4 stars because my negative experience was not with the shops themselves.

Kudo and Kristy were friendly and gave me excellent advice on maintaining my bags and recommended a cleaner. They let me browse at my pace and I didn't feel pressured to buy something I didn't love.
