This was my first time there but my husband highly recommended we go there because I was so stiff and had such tight upper shoulder and back muscles after a huge project. I just finished working all week at a computer for hours day and night. Exhausted and sore. I left after message today feeling great and as loose as a rag doll. Pressure of message was perfect for me because I hate wimpy massages and my therapist Linda had outstanding technique and every muscle in my body was released and relaxed. The hot stones were also amazing. I loved the stretches as well. My husband said his therapist Kelly, was great too and he felt better as well. I feel like 6 months of stress and toxins left my body today. I highly recommend Spirit Wellness Massage and believe me, I'm a highly pleased customer as the value for the money and the high quality of the services provided are first rate!

Massage for one hour is $49.99, while one hour and a half is $89.99. The person I met there seemed happy and energetic. Unfortunately I have forgotten her name, but she told me she is just the receptionist. I think she is more than that. I think she is the owner of the business and is an accomplished massage therapist. I saw on the card that this place offers massage, but I am also curious about the spa treatments. Since my wife and I were pressed for time, we did not have time for a massage, but one of us or both will be back here to try this place out. I look forward trying the Spa treatments too. This has been a good first experience here.

Once I find him/her, they have secured my business for years to come. I had to go through various therapists at STM to finally find the one I LOVED! Others were too soft, technique was bad, did not know what they were doing, etc. However, when I came across Lisa I was hooked. Lisa had wonderful pressure. She always used her elbows to dig in deep into my muscles and it felt heavenly. Every week, she knew exactly what I needed and addressed the areas that needed the most attention. I was a devout Lisa follower for the next two years. However, a couple months ago I got the most depressing news... Lisa left and went back to China! I was so shocked and saddened. Each time I call to make an appointment I ask for Lisa in hopes that she decided to return. Unfortunately I have not found another Lisa-like therapist at STM. I did find two therapists at another establishment but a couple weeks later it ended when they were bought out by another owner. So the search continues!

IF YOU CAN GET PAST the fact that it is in the middle where the kiosks usually situate themselves, that's half the battle. You are seated face down, they show you a timer and they get to work. Not only is it quite effective, but they really know what they're doing. I went because my neck and shoulders were so tight, my headaches were to a point where OTC meds weren't working. My fiancé and I visited Pure Foot Spa in Potomac Mills and left disappointed, both with the service…read moreand how the payment was handled. My fiancé's foot massage was barely a massage at all. It felt more like a light tickle than actual therapeutic pressure. She didn't get any relief or relaxation out of it, which is the whole point of coming to a place like this. The bigger issue was at checkout. The technician who worked on me hovered directly over the payment machine while I was choosing a tip amount, clearly trying to influence what I selected. I told him directly that I felt uncomfortable with him standing over me like that, but he didn't seem to understand or acknowledge what I was saying due to a language barrier. I had to physically turn the machine toward myself so he couldn't see the screen. This kind of pressure tactic has no place in a service business. Tipping should be a free choice, not something customers feel cornered into. Between the subpar foot massage and the uncomfortable, pushy experience at payment, I can't recommend this location. We won't be returning.

I found this spa via a Groupon to try it out as a possible new place for massages and related spa…read moreservices. Note: This business is housed in the same space as Karina's Beauty Spa in Suite #502. Upon check-in, the Grinch-green hair dyed receptionist (wearing a Karina's Beauty Spa badge) was on her cell phone. When I walked up to check in, she couldn't be bothered to put her phone down. She dryly asked if I was there for Comfort Spas. When I replied in the affirmative, she said someone would be with me shortly. The receptionist immediately went back to her phone. However, when a guest arrived for Karina's Beauty Spa, the receptionist immediately put her phone down and perked right up. Clearly, she has no interest in guests of Comfort Spas. Per the website, I arrived 15 minutes early. I sat in the waiting area the entire 15 minutes before the Comfort Spas masseuse greeted me, on her way in from a quick run to CVS. Just before getting started, the masseuse (named Jasmine) asked if I had any pain or other problem areas. While this question may seem like a good one to ask objectively, it let me know that Jasmine had clearly failed to review the required form that I spent 20 minutes completing via her online portal. Seriously , if you have a form as a requirement, then it should be the foundation for discussion with a new client... I purchased a 90-minute hot stone/deep tissue massage. Jasmine was a pleasant person, with generally good technique but she lacked the finesse and strength of more seasoned people who do massages. The room was relatively small and cold. Plus, unlike all past experiences I've had, Jasmine did not use heated oils/lotions. Instead, she used VERY COLD lotion which was anything but relaxing. Quite jarring with each touch. Additionally, she used disposable gloves, so the lotion never had a chance to be warmed in her hands. When Jasmine asked about the pressure, I let her know that I'd like it stronger. Yet, she was not able to sustain anything more than a very light massage. The hot stone portion (used exclusively at the neck and back area) was just ok. Stone use was really just an "honorable mention" since they were used less than 5 minutes out of the 90 minute massage. In my past experiences, the stones have been aligned along the spine and allowed to heat any trouble area(s). The Waiting area décor was aesthetically pleasing, and scented with a candle. The music and colors are calming and help to usher in relaxation. However, the loud ticking clock is not conducive to relaxation. Overall, if you're a person accustomed to stronger massages, you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you like a very light touch then this may be for you.
