We love trying local donut shops, so while we were in O'Fallon one morning, we decided to stop by Wood Bakery. Right when you walk in, it smells amazing, and they had a great variety of donuts and other locally baked items to choose from. You could tell everything was fresh--we even saw them bringing fresh donuts out into the store. We tried the glazed, chocolate long john, glaze twist, and blueberry cake donut. The chocolate on the long john was especially good and definitely stood out. The donuts were a little smaller in size, and for us, the texture wasn't quite as light and airy as we usually prefer, but they were still fresh and enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and you could tell they really enjoyed what they do and believed in their products. It's always nice supporting a local bakery with that kind of atmosphere.

Being from LA we normally eat Randy's or Krispy Kreme. Randy's isn't everywhere & as far as Krispy Kreme #stopgenocide . I came across Wood Bakery due to not only the stars but the reviews. When we pulled up, the energy was great! From being greeted with positive vibes, to talking about beaches lol! These were our choices & I spent about $5.50. I would like to also add in that they're very LGBTQAI+ friendly. They also have a lot of great options of desserts from the fridge to the table when you walk in! Thank you Sydney, Viola & Bonnie for making our last day so welcoming. You all are amazing women! I will be back here soon.

We passed this bakery on the way to lunch and had to stop by! They had cookies, mini pies, carrot cake, doughnuts, coffee and even freshly baked bread. I ordered a doughnut and a carrot cake cupcake for my fiancé. Both were amazing. Great local bakery for this area.

The interior is cute and clean (restrooms too)The staff and the owners as are all awesome and on top of their game and always kind and welcoming! If you haven't been there - it's time to try it out! Finally made it to Sweet Katie Bee's, and it did not disappoint! The owners are the best and also…read moreeat GF so are super aware of CC and almost everything can be made GF. They can make separate GF toast for those with celiac or eating GF. The potatoes are already GF. Just ask the person at the counter to mark your order as a celiac / gluten allergy order and confirm whatever you're ordering is good for celiac. Also they have GF baked goods and keep them all separate from the non GF baked goods so celiacs can have them! A couple DF / vegan options for treats as well. The vanilla almond milk latte was a fabulous addition to my All American breakfast! Note: the panini in this photo was my friend's and not GF but the other meal is all GF! Plus it's the cutest location in downtown O'Fallon - great for a farmer's market morning! Will definitely be back next time I go home!

Always love coming by here.for seasonal changes to coffees or lotus drinks. We stopped by after…read morethe chili chase. Had their harvest lotus. Nice and refreshing. Notes of cranberry. Paired with their breakfast croissant. You pick your meat, I had sausage. Has egg and cheese with a light sauce. Omg talk about a flaky croissant! So good!!! Thats one of the best I have had. To top it off they are always welcoming. It makes you feel like family!!!

I've been to this place a few different times. On special occasions like St. Patrick's day and on…read moreregular crazy Saturday mornings. We've met with friends here a few times. Everything is often very fresh. If you enjoy very sugary coffee then this place is for you. Hence the name, I'm sure. I've never had a coffee that wasn't overly sweet even when asking for little sweetness. All the food is very good. You can tell the bakery and the made to order food is deliciously made with love! The only thing about this place is the customer service is hit or miss. That's why one star is lost. The man that's working there is always very kind, helpful and welcoming. Most of the young girls that work there are also kind and helpful. But there's a worker there, when I see her I'm automatically nervous and want to make sure I have no extra questions or requests. It's an older lady (possibly an owner or manager). Every interaction with her is often unpleasant, and I'm always made to feel like such an inconvenience for being there. Not sure if it's just my face she doesn't like, or if I just happen to come in on her bad days. This place is cute and great for by yourself mornings or a small group coming together for brunch! It's got yummy food, seating inside and outside. Once your passed the ordering it's a great place to be! EDIT: After receiving the comment from the owner, I'm coming to edit the review. For clearly being verified in the way I was treated. To say "you would NEVER make anyone feel that way" is no longer true because you have made someone feel that way, myself and others in my groups. Ultimately, I did not drag the business and I even came back multiple times before writing the review. I'm sorry, I hurt someone's feelings by being so specific but it truly was the ONLY issue I had with this business. I was truly only trying to give my constructive feedback as an honest reviewer and customer. As a business owner I'm sure it's hard to receive feedback sometimes but, I wasn't looking for anything back, and I still always tipped. I simply was giving feedback so it can be acknowledged and be made better.
