Hi Dr. Fischer, I've…read moreappreciated having you for my primary care physician for over ten years, during which time it's no exaggeration to say that you have helped keep me alive. Just a quick note to say I'm knocked out by the dedication that you and your colleagues are showing in the face of extraordinary risk and what must seem, at times, intolerable stress. You have my admiration and my gratitude. Moreover, "hero" is an often inappropriately-used term, but as it derives from the Greek (h?r?s) - literally "protector" or "defender" - I feel confident in referring to you as such. Blush if you like, but please don't respond. You're too busy. Omar

I came to Dr. Fischer because I was looking to change doctors (not happy with the former one…read morebecause he was more interested in getting folks in and out and used to get pissed off if you delayed his process by asking too many questions or unrelated questions.) - every year in October San Diego Magazine puts out their list of Best Doctors in San Diego and he had made the list twice and was not far away so I decided to go see him. I am happy to see that he has made the list four years in a row now. He does not make you feel rushed and answers any and all questions. He explains things without making you feel like you need to change this and this about your lifestyle, even though it is implied that you really should try to take better care of yourself. He even answers questions unrelated to your situation if asked. His support staff is adequate, not overly friendly but definitely not rude or mean. He also tries to help make prescriptions less costly if he can.

I love how they think about their patients overall wellbeing and mental health. Dr. David Corbin and Dr. Kelchner are outstanding doctors who care with huge hearts. They both display an excellent example of empathy, care, and compassion to me and my family. I have been under the primary care of Dr. Corbin and his medical assistant, Yolanda for more than 5 years. I also have been getting chiropractic adjustments by Dr. Kelchner who is very knowledgeable about the process of spinal cord injury and how it can affect your ability to heal your body. He is also very helpful and kind and full of wisdom and understanding of pain management and recovery techniques that are helpful to me and my family and friends and other patients who are struggling with pain.

His assistant did not relay any symptoms which I described to her after telling me she would communicate this to the doctor and even ask for extra labs, when I spoke to the doctor about it he hadn't heard anything at all from her and was sarcastic/making faces. Your patients don't come to the doctor for fun! Terribly dismissive and rude practitioners

I'm a public health nurse but I believe that our bodies are designed to heal themselves when we treat them right. I used to be the type to fix everything w a pill, but the truth is that if we were to fuel and move our bodies as designed, many illnesses wouldn't exist. I do believe there is a time and a place for medicine! But I love knowing that I have found a TRUE PARTNER and educator in my health, not just a prescription drug dealer. The office staff was great also! I'm so glad to get into this practice!

This Drs Office is a complete incompetent mess. I have gone to multiple appointments with my father…read moreand I think the actual Dr was there maybe once. They have other so called Drs helping but they definitely have no clue whats going on. I had to remind them of my fathers meds and health status multiple times. Just recently he needed some referrals for orthopedics etc.. Well this went exactly as I would expect, It took a very long time and communication was very poor. Finally after a few months of waiting he received the referral. He then needed referrals for an MRI and this was also yet another instance of incompetence. He Finally received the letter from them along with another letter stating that they no longer want him as a patient. You See they dont want to put in the work or be an actual Dr they are more like an urgent care. Now at 75 years old my father has to go find a new primary. They could care less

However I…read morecan't help but be frustrated that there's a lack of follow up when we aren't at the clinic My baby needed 2 ultrasound done and when we called to schedule with Radys they only allowed us to have 1 ultrasound done because the second could not be done due to the diagnosis. Apparently the diagnosis wasn't sufficient enough so the Santee clinic had to clarify. Despite our constant follow up nothing was sent from the clinic to radys. We went in and got 1 ultrasound done. Only a day or two after we were approved for the second. We received our bill and we have to pay $750 for the ultrasound and now we have to go back for the 2nd and pay another $750 bill. If we just had gone there and done both scans in 1 visit we could have avoided this. Because of the Lack of follow up from the clinic we have to pay even more out of pocket and more time spent when it should have not happened. I hope scripps understands there are families that don't have the luxury to waste money
