I called on Saturday, 7/12, to see if they had availability for a pedicure, and they were able to…read morefit me in an hour before closing. I was visiting from out of town and had limited time in the area so I appreciated them accommodating me on short notice. The technician who started my service was very kind, but she mentioned a few times that she wasn't feeling well. Out of concern, I told her she could skip the polish and stop early. Later, I regretted that decision and called back to see if I could return to have the polish applied. The receptionist was not particularly friendly, but eventually agreed I could come back the next day, Sunday. When I returned, the overall vibe was a bit off. The receptionist and the new technician seemed cold, and it felt like there may have been some internal discussion about the situation. Nonetheless, the service was completed. Unfortunately, by today, Monday (7/14), the polish on one of my toenails has already chipped, which is frustrating so soon after the appointment. When I used to live in Miami Lakes and when I come to visit, I typically go to the other location by Veterans Park and see Magalys, and I've always had great experiences with her. They were unfortunately booked for the rest of the weekend. While I've had consistently positive experiences at their other location, this visit was disappointing by comparison.

I've been going to VIP Nails in Miami Lakes for years, usually every two weeks, and the main reason…read moreI keep coming back is consistency. I always know exactly what to expect: great service, no unnecessary waiting, and a pleasant experience every single time. I don't even have one specific nail tech that I use--I'm comfortable going with whoever is available because the service is consistently good. I usually call the same day for an appointment around 5:30, and when I arrive, they're ready for me. That is HUGE for me. I have a very demanding schedule, and I absolutely hate sitting around waiting at a nail salon. My time is valuable, and VIP Nails respects that. Another thing I really appreciate is their efficiency. Whenever possible, they have one person doing my pedicure while someone else does my nails, so I can get everything done at the same time and be on my way. I love efficiency, predictability, and consistency--and that's exactly what I get here. The staff is always nice and accommodating, and they do their best to fit me in whenever I need an appointment. I've recommended VIP Nails to several of my coworkers over the years, and they've had great experiences as well. After years of coming here, I continue to be a loyal customer because they consistently meet my expectations. If you're looking for a reliable, efficient nail salon in Miami Lakes that respects your time, I highly recommend VIP Nails!

Now I am not one to review much of anything but this salon quality of nails was so BAD!!! I had to…read moreget my downstairs neighbor to fix the set for me and give if anything close to my inspo. I went into VIP Nail not even 24 hours ago with an inspo and chrome finish. My first red flag should have been when the receptionist who actually was very friendly and inviting said" oh i have that color" when she saw my inspo. What do you mean color? its a pink fading to white ombre with a pearl chrome finish. 2nd red flag was the prep of my nails before applying the acrylic. Now i have been to several and I mean several nail salons and dont always have the best prep but this was so bad my cuticles are now in pain and bleeding because she drilled so close to my cuticle. All she did was file and the surface of my nail and apply glue immediately. I honestly thought she was rushing mind you there was only 2 people in there. Now I know the prep work of your nautral nail before applying acrylic and that prep wasnt it. She then applied the pink color but there was no ombre nothing and applied a light coat of chrome onto my nail. I was skeptical but she advised me to " trust the process" so i brushed it off 3 red flag and I mean 3 red flag and the final reason im writing this review and will never go back here was my eyebrows. I requested them waxed but they are not clean they are not shaped and looked like work i could have did at home and on top of that upon leaving the salon the color of my nails was nothing and i mean nothing like my inspo on final result. It looked like one opaque nude color with a hint of pink tint that i could do nothing but question both me and my husand on there was no chrome finish barely at all and they felt so heavy. Come to find out my downstairs neighbor who does nails had to fixed this mess of a set and even stated upon drilling that there was alot of product on my nail, I'm guessing from the powder mixture thing they use to blend the acrylic with your natural nail. She actually cleaned up my set beautifully with an amazing finish and only charged me 25 DOLLARS when VIP charged me 100!!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!! FIND ANOTHER ONE TRUST ME SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

I asked for a design (I'll post the design vs what I got) and it was a simple design. I requested dip with tip. She didn't buff out the nails or do the cuticle part. The shape was just messy all around. I stepped out and had to come back because it was just so bad. See pictures. I paid $70 for just nails. That's ridiculous in Hialeah! And they were just horrible. So when I went back they weren't even empathetic or apologetic. They just said ok come back when you're ready to get them redone. I went back after work and the manager Jennifer did my nails. She's pretty good however, not even a week later the paint started chipping. She didn't even use dip. She used gel which wasn't what I asked for
