LOVED my nails the first day but had to return 5 days later because one of the nails completely came off. Then after another 2 days, two more nails were coming off. Got a pedicure and they didn't even have massage chairs or hot water. My new go-to nail spot! Easy to book online and punctual! The Getaway Nail Spot is located in a shopping center and there is plenty of parking. They offer the latest nail techniques and designs. I get my Apres does here and it comes out perfect every single time. In fact, I've noticed that they last longer than the other place I used to go to. I've never had to emergency crazy glue a nail that popped off. The ladies who work here are always so nice! I really look forward to my nail appointments. What a terrible customer service. Ive been here once before for a gel manicure. And my manicure lasted 3 days. Products are watered down or old. Today, I decided to give this place another chance, but trying the Apres. I called the salon to advise them that I would not be canceling my appointment but rather I would be doing a Gel pedicure because I had injured my cuticles on my hands at work. I was rudely explained that I would have to still pay the price of the Apres manicure that was $75!! ( a ridiculous amount for a little hole in the wall) Rude owner and staff. I've been doing my nails with Eliany since she was at a "big business" type of salon... then I kept going with her as she went on an adventure to open her own business. Eliany is honestly a master at nails, but all the girls there (especially Malena) are the best. It's a bit pricey BUT it's definitely worth it. Some reviews have said "oh they don't talk to you, or they don't have conversations with you"... well, if you have something interesting to talk about they'll hold a conversation.. but most people go to relax and not have long conversations. I wouldn't go anywhere else.. they're always very accommodating.. and they deal with indecisiveness well lol (that's my problem) - I never really know what I want so I just let them do their thing. The staff is very welcoming. my nail tech was super attentive to my needs. Offered coffee, water on several occasions. Seating arrangements are very comfortable and chic. Do not be fooled by the shopping center that this hidden gem is located in, the inside is beautiful! I love the details from the names of their services to their decor. I had the "Hialeah" pedicure and it did wonders to my feet. I will shamefully admit that my heels were drier than the Sahara desert. Once Cristal was done with me, my heels felt so smooth and soft. I came to this salon recommended by a long time friend and customer of theirs. I was excited to try it out because the pictures of the location look awesome and very Instagram worthy. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience and I don't do reviews unless I feel certain that this is something I want to project. I was the only customer in the salon on this day so you would think I would be treated right but no. The issues go as follows: - I wasn't greeted properly as in with kindness. The salon lady was txting on her phone. - I wasn't educated on the services or offered anything as in to drink or "hey this is where we take photos after if u wanna take some", etc nothing. - I mentioned my friend highly recommended this place and figured that would spark a convo. Nothing. - shortly mid service, her boyfriend came in with food and they took a break her, this other nail lady and the boyfriend to eat in the back. I went to the break room and just waited till she came back. I felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable with the boyfriend around tbh I could tell he was not an employee. They were speaking all Spanish too and I struggle with Spanish so that also didn't help. - lastly, I had back pain because of the chair and I asked if we could switch chairs. The chairs are not meant for plus size women nor are they comfortable. They are just for aesthetic purposes only for the gram. Everything was going so wrong, I just settled on gel versus gel x to cut the time short. I still tipped my 18% and decided I won't come back. I just thanked her and went on my merry way. But it's a shame because this location is close to where I live and I thought this would be an epic experience but no. It was epically disappointing. I hope their customer service improves drastically. You never know what someone is experiencing and women go to nail salons to feel better, not worse. read more

I don't usually write reviews anywhere but I feel like this has to be said. I did my nails on a Friday and they were already falling off completely by Sunday, which is ridiculous. The lady cut my cuticles a little too much in which I still have a cut on my right pinky and it hurts to this day. I found this nail salon on IG and decided to give it a try. The first forty minutes of my visit the nail techs and their clients went about bashing other customers. They vented about how some clients are too fussy with their nail shape, some take too long picking out a nail color, others come in late, and the list went on. Some of their points were valid but it was unprofessional and inappropriate for the nail techs to engage in this type of conversation in front of customers.
