She greeted me immediately upon walking in as she was finishing up with another client so I sat and soaked up the clean, sparkly-looking barber shop. I was offered a drink while a waited which was cool. On to the actual service, Raquel was super on point, asking and actively listening to what I was looking for (a Royal Shave). She was incredibly thorough and took her time prepping the work area using a number of tools to clean and moisturize while trimming down the hair to get it ready for the straight razor shave. The hot towels and steam treatment for my face were soothing and definitely made a big difference with me since my facial hair grows thick, leading to painful shaves if not done properly. But again, Raquel came through in spades with the cleanest, smoothest shave I've had well, probably ever. It seriously was that good! The post-shave treatment of moisturizers and good-for-your-skin products left me feeling daisy fresh and the clincher? The cold towel was epic -- that's a pleasant first.
