Dr. Kristina Bishop has been my saving grace. Typically fertility and OB/GYN are very separate…read more(which is very frustrating to patients since it would seem like all women's health issues should fall under the same umbrella). However, Dr. Bishop has been the first OB/GYN to truly listen and provide different recommendations for our fertility struggles over the last 4 years. She actually recommended us to a new fertility clinic to begin IVF in which we were able to get pregnant for the second time. Unfortunately the pregnancy ended in a second miscarriage which was discovered in office with Dr. Bishop at 10 weeks. Her caring bedside manner was so impactful as my husband and I were going through such a horrible situation, and it's been SO different and refreshing compared to my first miscarriage experience with my old practice (Century Medical Associates-- highly do NOT recommend). I have recommended Seasons to ALL of my friends because the care is top notch and the all-women practice makes you feel at home, even when you may be going through a difficult situation. The fact these providers actually spend the time to listen to you AND provide sound recommendations is what makes them stand above the rest!

The location is off several bus lines and they have parking available, they will validate your parking if you go to an office. The analysis done and the changes made since coming here are appreciated and I will go on with a less specialized doctor.

The OR team was nice from the front desk (Dairia) who has a pleasant personality and put me at ease to the rest of the team Leah (pre-op nurse), Sue (OR nurse), Amanda (OR Team) and Doreen (recovery nurse). The anesthesiologist and nurse anesthesist both helped me understand procedures and what I could expect while answering my concerns. All went well and my R.N. Doreen throughly went over my discharge orders. I have read the other reviews which are different from my situation and hope this is not the norm for most patients. For my overall O.R. experience Magee gets a well deserved and solid 4 stars. PS They even gave me a thank-you card with my discharge orders (a nice touch).

My experience at the hospital during my miscarriage was awful. There were serious problems with my…read morecare, including a patient-safety/risk-alert issue. But what hurts the most is that I had to fight to keep my baby's remains from being treated like medical waste. The doctor did not even seem to know that I could ask for the pregnancy tissue from my D&C as proof of my pregnancy and loss. I should never have had to fight for this. I was grieving my baby, and I had to fight the hospital to make sure her remains were not simply thrown away. Then I was offered a keychain... I don't want a keychain to remember this experience by. I wanted my baby. I won't put all my private medical details here, but other parents need to know: ask questions, ask what is happening to the remains, request your records, and ask for your proof of conception for a proper burial based on your faith. You also have a right for the hospital to take care of the remains, if that's what helps you get through. No judgement, just options. The pathologist named Stephanie was the one person who showed me extraordinary compassion. They treated Estelle with dignity and treated me like a grieving mother, not a case number. Just a beautiful soul who looks you in the eye. I will never forget that. Magee needs to do better. Losing my baby was devastating enough. I should never have had to fight the hospital to make sure she mattered. Horton taught us "A person is a person, no matter how small." Estelle mattered. Her remains mattered. And I am grateful to the pathologist who treated her with the dignity she deserved.

Yes, I know, and that time is predictable and can be used to schedule properly; this isn't my first rodeo. But let me just sit here and freeze under the thin, stained blanket with holes and smell your Pizza Hut and crinkly snacks (and talking with your mouth full) -- while I haven't eaten for two days. Another 2-star UPMC experience. Bottom line: UPMC consistently performs as expected--at a bar lower than any other system from which I have received care across multiple states and decades.

My friends and family who live in the area refer to it to as the Toys "R" Us location, because this was indeed a Toys "R" Us years ago. You can get lab work here, you can even get minor outpatient surgeries done here. A friend of mine had early stage breast cancer and this was not only where she was diagnosed but where her surgery was done. As for me, I have had my annual mammograms, a number of ultrasounds and a breast biopsy here. This is a facility where whatever you are here for is likely to have you feeling nervous, and the staff recognizes that and is absolutely expert at putting you at ease. From when you call and schedule through the day of your procedure, I have always felt treated with care and empathy. I know these are characteristics you would be looking for in any medical professional, but these are some especially touchy subjects and somehow the staff members they have hired here are exactly the right people for the job. The facility is bright and clean, with staff on hand upfront to direct and/or register you. Lots of space to sit and be comfortable for yourself and any support persons you might bring along. I'm glad to have this facility close to me.
