My husband suggested going to his old barber who had recently started at Blank Canvas, Rob. I didn't know how it would be to go to an actual barbershop vs one of those kids hair cut places at the mall... I WAS SO HAPPILY SURPRISED!!! Firstly, the shop is so clean and modern looking. Because they knew we were coming in with a kid, they already had a TV set up with Bluey (one of his faves!!) and was greeting by all three guys there. Rob is so kind and was willing to work with us to find the best way to get our son ready for his haircut. We discussed the plan and off he went! Mom and Dad did have to switch places holding our son in the chair, but Rob and his fellow barber--Brett--helped calm our son by providing him with various snacks, were playing with him. Rob made sure to take breaks if our son was getting a little overwhelmed. Rob was able to make some suggestions to us as the haircut went on and you could tell he really knew what he was doing. I couldn't have asked for a better first time experience with my son. I am sooooo in love with his haircut and Blank Canvas is definitely going to be our spot to bring him.
