Needed to get a cut - fast. I mean, it was BAD. Months of neglect. Crazy sideburns. Bushy neck. Just wild man, wild! I called this place up and asked if they had time for me and they slotted me in right away, within the hour. I got my hair cut by Salt. I told him briefly what I wanted and he knew at an instant what I meant and did a great job. I had my three young kids with me and they let them chill while I got my cut. Christian is an absolute master at his craft. I spent some time researching barbers around my neighborhood and Christian has absolutely blown away all my expectations of the entire hair cutting process. First, everyone in the shop is super down to earth and super welcoming, including his 1 year old puppy Kylo who came to say hi. Second, he's an absolute master at his craft, he spent an hr cutting my hair and I was absolutely blown away with the results. He asked what type of hair cut but I left it up to him, every cut, every buzz seemed intentionally, he knew what he wanted to do. Third, he was super flexible with his time. I made the appointment through Yelp and threw out at a random time, Monday at noon expecting him to reject me, he replied "perfectly fine"; not many barbers are open on Mondays, let alone with a day advance notice. Everything you can ask for in a barbershop and more. Clean and aesthetically pleasing from corner to corner. I was greeted as soon as I entered by all the barbers. Very welcoming feeling. I was also notified as soon as I came in that I was next. I've gone into barbershops before where when I enter, I just find myself a seat and don't get welcomed or addressed at all. Then I just end up feeling lost and wondering when I'm next. That's not at all how I felt about this place so I'll definitely be back. The haircut itself was elite! The blend on my fade was immaculate and the lineup was crispier than bonchon chicken. My haircut took about an hour but I also had my beard cleaned up so that will take extra time. Christian was the one who took care of me today but looking forward to getting haircuts from Salt and Marque in the future. Walk ins are welcome, but appointments are definitely preferred. The Daly Trait has gained another client in me after today's experience! Hands down the best barbershop in Daly City and possibly in the Bay Area! Was in need of a haircut and searched up barbershops in the area and came across this spot. Although it's new, it has received a lot of love and great reviews so I decided to check it out right away. First thing that drew me in was the warm welcomes by the whole team the moment i stepped foot inside. Everyone there was accommodating, friendly and very professional. The second thing that caught my attention was how aesthetically pleasing the shop looked, from the amazing lights, to the cream walls, the grey floors, the chairs and their stations. Whoever designed it did an outstanding job. Now on to the haircut experience. The barber that took me in was Christian. And let me tell you, the haircut was FLAWLESS. I've been growing my hair for several months now so I was looking a little rough and needed a presentable haircut for work. I didn't know what I wanted but I just told Christian, I wanted to keep the top for when I get braided. So after observing and analyzing my head shape and hair in a few minutes, he already had an idea in what would give me best of the both worlds--keeping the top for when I get braids but also making it look presentable enough for work. So after 45 minutes to about an hour, the haircut was freshly cut and even styled with product. He even gave me a quick tutorial if I needed help styling my hair the way he styled it. That right there is A1 customer service. Also need to mention, the whole time I was getting the haircut, I just felt good vibes and positive energy throughout the barbershop and made me feel comfortable like I've been going there for years.
