I got there and there was no Dwarf Fountain Grass. She tried to sell me Bunny Grass. I asked who is going to pay for my gas since they made the mistake. She didn't offer me anything not even a coupon for 10% off. I will not return as I won't do business with a company who has no integrity. It was their mistake and they should have made it right.

Schalow's was both disappointing and interesting. I was expecting to find a nursery with some nice…read moreindoor plants for gifts, but instead found a place specializing primarily in outdoor gardens. There's nothing wrong with that, but it was just disappointing for me. Maybe it was the time of year. Schalow's was interesting in that the selection of outdoor plants was huge. They even had some of the sculpted topiary bushes shaped like animals. Although cute, those topiaries looked like they'd be a lot of work to maintain. I did see some cute outdoor birdbaths and statues to complete the outdoor garden and there was a nice indoor area to pickup smaller items and ask for help from the staff. We were left alone to wander around the grounds, but periodically the employees would ask if we needed help. I like that they weren't pushy.

I also enjoyed their selection of fairy garden supplies and decorations. All throughout the store they had random fairy garden jars and gardens set up that gave the whole place a magical feel. That would be the best word to describe this place. Magical. If you're on a greenhouse tour, go here!!!

Plants are very healthy, lush, the grounds and surrounding area are inviting and attractive. We were offered a glass of wine and they even had ice pops for children. There's a gift shop, area for sitting and just enjoying being there. Very pleasant, the staff are friendly and helpful. We weren't planning on buying a tree so we didn't have a truck, but they wrapped it in plastic wrap and were able to put it in our car and we had no trouble transporting it. Very happy with our visit.

One thing I would recommend would be to understand the fees for delivery and planting.

I purchased 5 dahlia and 20 gladiolus bulbs earlier this spring. After several weeks in the ground…read more1 dahlia and half of the glads didn't come up. Upon inspection, the were rotting In the ground. I returned to the store in hopes of either getting them replaced or getting some of my money back. They refused to do either because I didn't keep my receipt and I'm not a member. Normally I would let some like this go but their products are on the expensive side so I would expect quality products and a company that would stand by them. I've purchased similar products at big box stores locally and never once did I have something not come up. I went to Jung's because the other stores were out and I was willing to pay more to get what I needed. I understand they have to have return policies but they could have done something. Other stores would have at least given me a store credit. The did not seem to care at all that they're going to lose my business. They were rather cold, manager included. I'll stick to the big box stores. At least I can count on better return policies and friendly employees.

We had bad experience here. While finishing picking out items in the shop our young child knocked…read moredown an item and cracked it. Before we could address it a young worker grabbed it from us and said, "I'll take that". When this happened were carrying around approximately $75 in items we planned to buy. We also assumed we were going to pay for or offer to pay for the item or son accidentally knocked down. Before we finished shopping the worker returned and told my wife to pay damages or buy the broken sphere. We then left to pay for only the broken item. While trying to pay for damages and leave the interaction with the owner/manager was bad. She was on the phone, then very rude and lacked any awareness of how to manage a situation like this. She was complaining to us and confrontational about her always taking the short end when people broke things. We left upset and insulted. Instead of leaving and buying several items, including the one we broke. We did find another nursery nearby and had a great experience there. I recommend spending your money somewhere else where it's appreciated.
