I am not usually someone who writes Yelp reviews, but reading some of the criticism here had me…read moredumbfounded. In the nicest possible way: I'm not sure some of these reviews understand the role of a doctor. Dr. Ford is a kind, thoughtful, smart doctor. He listens and uses his skills to help you. Most impressively, Dr. Ford is reachable. My father had a life threatening episode that I called Dr. Ford about (my father also sees Dr. Ford). Within 20 minutes he called me back and told me exactly what to do. In a very real way, that phone call helped save my dad's life. Doctor's calling patients on a weekend isn't really a thing you will find elsewhere. Another time I was traveling for work and developed hives all over my body. I was able to reach Dr. Ford that day and figure out what I could do to lessen my symptoms until I could see him. I also appreciate that Dr. Ford is not the doctor who is just going to prescribe you Xanax because you are "stressed." But he also won't diminish someone who has anxiety problems. If you want a doctor who is smart, thoughtful, reachable, and no bs - go to him. I didn't want someone who was just going to shove pills at me after a minute appointment. I wanted someone who actually cared about my health. That's exactly who Dr. Ford is.

The head nurse tries her best as well, but......... The doctor is not willing to listen to a patient. He's very particular about his questions and getting answers in a specific format. When you're in pain or losing concentration, it can feel degrading when your doctor isn't proactive in helping you. Even worse when you keep calling to get help but there is no availability or willingness to see a patient that is in need. Don't pick this doctor. Pick someone else.

I just had my first appointment for a routine physical and the whole process was amazing!! The whole staff is cheerful and very kind and the lovely PA I saw was attentive and so helpful. I am so happy I found them as my new primary care office, it's obvious they care about their patients! The 5 stars are true!!! That type of care in our medical system is rare and such a major relief!!!

I automatically assumed it was swollen lymph nodes from being sick but decided to ask an MD neighbor his opinion. I was seen at my neighbor's practice the next day and he confirmed one of my worries. I was sent for labs and an ultrasound and was told to get a PCP on this side (I'm a New Yorker so all of my doctors are still in NYC) that would follow this issue as it's a multi step issue. I was referred to Beverly Hills Health by a trusted friend. I called their practice on 12/26/25 to schedule an appointment and was granted one for the following Tuesday. The secretary was so kind and understanding. She was diligent and informative. She made sure to tell me everything that was needed on my first visit and they'll see me promptly Tuesday morning. On my appointment date, I was greeted with a warm smile by Ayala and was instructed on how to check in and fill out the digital forms before being called in. I had the orders my neighbor had suggested and gave them to Ayala. I'm a self pay patient by the way and for ONCE I don't feel taken advantage of with pricing. I can't thank them enough! I proceeded to sit patiently and wait to be called. Upon being called, Max, the MA welcomed me and told me he would be doing my vital signs and labs today while asking if I had any questions, inquiries or concerns. Max was AMAZING! I have great veins but it's always painful! I didn't feel a thing with Max! He truly has the hands of an angel. Once the labs were done, Dr. Asherian came into the room, introduced herself; detailed her areas of expertise; asked me my chief compliant; took down a detailed history and discussed all the extra labs that were added to determine what was going on with the mass. I confessed to Dr. Asherian how panicked I was and how badly this mass had stolen my joy since discovering it. She was attentive, kind and very reassuring. She eased my mind and I'm very thankful for that visit. Upon checking out, I was told I would hear back from them within a week for results and we could set a telehealth visit to discuss them and if needed discuss further steps ahead. This experience, although nerve wracking, was eased with a very clean and calming medial practice that has extremely kind, experienced and dedicated professionals. I would recommend this practice in a heartbeat to anyone in and out of Los Angeles.

I was rapidly losing the ability to walk, and my ability to urinate was compromised and getting worse. I initiated an MRI, the results of which showed severe stenosis at two levels, obliteration of the cerebrospinal fluid, marked crowding of the cauda equina fibres, and extremely small disc spaces. Alberta Health Services proved to be a dead end for treatment. I reached out to the Back Institute, and within two weeks, they confirmed a surgery date. My experience with the staff was fantastic, knowledgeable, personable, and empathetic. By the time I reached LA, I could walk less than a block, and it took over 30 minutes to empty my bladder. The operation took place at the BI surgery. The team was extremely professional. The operation lasted from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. At 7:00 pm I dressed, was driven to my hotel, I slept for 12 hours, and then got up and walked 1.5 km, pain free and with an almost normal gait. I felt no pain and have no scarring - I did not take any pain medication. I returned to the BI the following day for a post-op review, then flew home the next day. I was left with some lower body atrophy, which I addressed through physio and later weight training. I give my unreserved recommendation to Dr David Ditsworth and his talented colleagues. Had I relied on the AHS, I believe I would be in a wheelchair or worse. I am back playing golf, enjoying the gym and running with my grandchildren.
