Yes the cakes breakfast rolls and cookie are devine heavenly in-fact!! Theyre so fresh and tasty. You can actually taste the cheese in the cheese cakes and danish, the delicious chocolate in the chocolate doghnuts.. I especially love the team lead by our beloved Nancy. Wolf's stayed open through COVID and it was no easy task. Them staying open made life a little sweeter. I am forever thankful how kind they were to the customers during this time. The only Fanish I ever had was store bought and stale, yuck. Then, one day, my boss and I were on our way to the office and saw this bakery. It was late in the day, and all they had left was Danish. I am now a convert. So delicious, fresh, flaky, loaded with fruit. We go to Wolfs on the regular now, everything is just so good, donuts are amazing. And the staff is friendly and efficient. In all my 40 years of life I have always placed all fresh bakery orders from Roesers Bakery on the West Side of Chicago but we recently moved to the beautiful Evergreen Park and needed a birthday cake. So I went to my trusty yelp and found Wolf's Bakery. I arrived 830am placed my order (easy peasy) paid and was told it would be ready on the date and time I requested. Pick up was also easy peasy the cake itself was beautiful, the taste was good and it was a hit at the party. The price was right and the service friendly. ALSO the neighbors in the area are great, I heard really good things about the lemon fluff cake as I was leaving another customer overheard me talking about lemon fluff and actually offered me once of her lemon fluff cupcakes and it was DELISH. read more

I didn't visit the actual store I ate some of their German Chocolate Cake that someone brought to the airport. It was good and it was different than other German Chocolate Cake I've had in the past. In the future I might stop by there, it's not far from where I reside. I would like to see what cakes are sold by the slice before buying the whole cake. read more

My brother-in-law worships this bakery. My wife and her two brothers each have their favorite bakeries. Being a native Texican I never understood the Chicago native's attachment to neighborhood bakeries. Now, after sampling the product from Wolf's I understand why this is brother-in-law's favorite. We love all their items from butter crust rolls, to famous Lemon Fluff and the Atomic cake is made with moist cake and fresh fruits! Recently we had our grandsons construction cake for his 3rd birthday. As you can see he is thrilled. It was a 1/2 sheet, double layered moist yellow cake with fudge frosting in middle and on top. All The little kids had clean plates. Usually they leave the frosting behind but not this cake. Not one piece left over! Oh and try the donut holes. You will crave them. Came here on a Thursday afternoon on a week where I was committed to trying all major bakeries in the area. The sweet aroma when you walk in is irresistible. Make sure you grab a number when you walk in! They have several cases. One with mini Italian/butter cookies, they have several cupcakes, some muffins (all normal sized), mini cupcakes as well, whole coffee cakes and danish coffee cakes... and the best part: sweet rolls in so many flavors. The woman behind the counter could not have been friendlier. Obviously I was overwhelmed with the choices available. She was kind enough to recommend the almond sweet roll but sadly I'm allergic. Instead she recommended the cinnamon raisin sweet roll which I happily agreed to. The roll is sweet, but not overly so. It has a great light fluffy texture and the cinnamon flavor is not overpowering (which it sometimes can be). Very good. Will be back. read more

When we got there we told them they were rude on the phone and they said that none of there workers talked to us. They tried to lie to us and there service was simply horrible. After hearing so much about the little cupcakes and lemon cakes that everyone raved about online-- I decided to go to the bakery myself, when I was looking for bakeries for birthday cakes for a relative-- unfortunately there was a huge sanitation problem in the bakery as soon as we entered, there was a weird sour-y smell of dirty-mop-water that permeated the entire bakery and floors, that made me feel sick to my stomach, and I was not the only one in the group to notice-- I thought back to the times that a coworker brought in baked goods from Wolf's wondering if it smelled like this when they bought snacks for our meetings and just thinking about it made it (the nausea) even worse... I went to the display to see if the smell was everywhere or just by the door, and it was allover the bakery- I basically held my breath the entire time-- and the workers acted like they couldn't smell a thing-- when we inquired, they said the floors were just cleaned, so it may smell a little wet-- wet and dirty are two different things-- It smelled like dirty-mop-water and was literally like standing next to an open garbage bin-- nobody ordered anything we all left -very upset. It's not that difficult to change the bucket-water when cleaning and to sanitize with bleach or pinesol... I know a few reviewers complained about a 'bleach-y' smell-- I wish that was the case here, as bleachy or minty are very different from dirty and garbage-y... I know 1 or 2 people who own small restaurants (but-not bakeries) and if the employees used dirty water to clean - or if it smelled like that, for any reason, everyone would be fired for not meeting basic hygiene standards... I don't know anyone who would want to eat food in a smelly environment (or from an unsanitary establishment)-- Maybe they were having a bad day, but it really reeked-- Awful. Two words: Atomic Cake. This cake has everything in it a cake lover could want. Strawberries, bananas, a thin layer of chocolate, yellow cake, chocolate cake, and a delectable topping of whipped cream. Get me a glass of cold milk, and I'm in sugar heaven! And at only $20 for the entire cake, a great deal! Of course, they also have all the bakery staples as well. Delicious donuts, a small assortment of French Pastries, wedding cakes, cupcakes, and mouth wateringly delicious rye bread (with or without caraway seeds), and one of the biggest assortment of tea cookies I have ever seen. (One whole section of the bakery is dedicated to these alone.) Having been in the neighborhood forever, this place is frequented by generations of area residents. Not exactly in my neck of the woods anymore, but I will make the trip for the Atomic Cake alone. I ordered the Atomic Cake which was delicious and the fruit was very fresh. I also ordered other enticing baked goods which were also delicious. I'm on a mission to hit a few tasty bakeries/donut shops during my clinical rotation at Christ hospital this winter, so Wolf's was my first stop. I came in on Friday afternoon around 430-ish and was helped right away, puchasing a red velvet and lemon fluff cupcakes, as well as a smiley face cookie. The lemon fluff was absolutely delicious!! I ate it the afternoon after I bought it, and it was light, fluffy, sweet but not overly so...just yummy. The man enjoyed his red velvet and we both split the smiley face cookie, which was buttery and tasty. I will definitely be back for that lemon fluff! read more

Yay! I'm a fan. Stopped in to buy some Lemon Fluff cupcakes. Gotta love these things. Insanely good. Ended up buying this pecan coffee cake, too. Wowsers! Had it for breakfast the next morning. They have a great selection of pastries, donuts, cakes, all the things to handle your sweet tooth. Staff is super nice and friendly. Everything is made fresh in the back. So nice to find a good bakery. It's a good thing this bakery isn't near my house. I'd gain 50lbs in the first month. It's really worth a trip down to Wolf's.
