Lots of space to allow your dogs to run. Everyone I have met has been so friendly and understanding of my dog who needs to be socialized more. I like this place because there is a separate off leash area for large and small dogs (35lbs or less). Both have concrete patios with picnic areas and sheltered areas. There are two concrete patios for the larger dog section and one for the smaller guys. Dog waste bags are provided if by accident you forgot yours in the car. Make sure you bring water for your furry pal as last time I was there I don't believe I saw any. read more

Who knew that doggie paradise was waiting around the corner from the racetrack! This dog park is amazing. It's huge, with a couple of picnic tables for tired humans to park while the dogs run wild. It's shaped in a circle, and I like to walk laps around the edge as my dog does his thing. The park provides doggie bags and garbage cans but no water. This is one of the few parks I've been to in NJ (so far) that is mostly grass. From what I've seen, the doggie clientele is sociable and well-behaved, with nothing too rowdy. Note that Wolfhill Recreation Area is fairly expansive; the actual dog park is adjacent to the racetrack parking lot. read more

My dogs enjoyed the park a lot, but our puppy got kennel cough here. I think people do their best, but you should be super careful if your dog has a cough, runny nose or watery eyes. I hope to bring my doggos back next month read more

The dog park here is INCREDIBLE. 3 acres, fenced in with chain link, natural foliage for the dogs, small and large dog areas, gazebos to get out of the sun, and is regularly maintained by rangers. It's the nicest dog park I've seen in my entire life, and people come from all over Monmouth County to experience it. Come out, bring your dog, and be prepared to meet some amazing dogs and dog lovers. read more

I have only been to this dog park a few times, and have mixed feelings about it. It is a beautiful facility with two areas depending on the size of your dog and a sitting area for the owners. No water is provided on site but there are trash cans and bags for picking up after your dog, just in case you forget to bring your own. Our first visit to the big enclosure was rather nice. The people and dogs were friendly and seemed to be responsible dog owners, watching their pets, following them and picking up after them. The area was also big enough so that our medium sized dog (60 lbs) could run around without having to stop at the fence line. So when we decided to go back, it was a big surprise that we found something totally different waiting at the park. When we got inside the enclosure, right before we were even able to take the leash off, another dog ran over and started barking, lunging and growling. Astounded, we walked a few paces away to get our dog out of the situation and asking for the owner of the growling dog to get their dog under control. When the owner finally came over, he started verbally harassing us, threatening us and suggesting that we take our dog off the leash so that they can "fight it out". We left that day but decided to not have this singular incident ruin the park for us. When we went back on one other occasion (different day and at a different time), we had someone tell us how to train our dog without asking, our dog was attacked, run into a fence and overall terrorized by the other dogs. Well, needless to say, we won't be going back to that place. Ky now has a a play group that he plays with and he is so much happier. read more

Awesome place to let the dogs run free inside of a ten foot high fenced in area. Have yet to meet a bad dog here.

Great place to bring your dogs. There are two separate areas, one for dogs under 35 pounds, one for over. They are absolutely huge. It's rare to go there and not have other dogs available for your fur babies to play with. There are picnic benches with shade for the humans. People are very friendly though, if you want to walk around with your dogs and chat. Be advised, there is no water source so make sure to bring your own, along with a water dish. They do have disposal bags available, and plenty of garbage cans around so you're not hiking to get rid of the bag. If you choose, there is also a walking path that in circles the entire 3 acre area. The play area can get a bit muddy after the rain. Looks like they do what they can, there are a number of areas fenced off, where the grass is growing back. It's understandable, given the number of dogs here on any given day. I have two dogs- one loves to run run run and tussle with the other dogs; the other just wants to patrol the perimeter and sniff, and it is an ideal place for both. They love coming here! One cautionary note: there are a few crazies on the small dog side. Just a couple of regulars who are know it all's, who will either tell you your dog is fat, or play hall monitor if your dog is running. I mean, it's a dog park; you expect the dogs to interact and try to play and bump into each other. Everyone seems aware of what their dog is doing and is there to monitor their play, you can't realistically demand that your dog have exclusive use or not be approached. And yes my one dog is "curvy" and that's why we are here, so she can get exercise. I've moved over to the big dog side and have not had any problems since. If you have dogs who get along with others, and have extra energy to burn, this is the place! read more

There needs to be a limit on the number of dogs one is allowed to bring into the park. One owner had at least five dogs with him. One of his dogs began relentlessly barking in my dog's face. Naturally, my dog eventually got annoyed & essentially told the dog to back off. Instead of the owner getting control of his dog, he said that my dog would let him know to stop. Um, no. I'm sorry, but this type of behavior is what causes fights amongst dogs! Absolutely ridiculous. When I told my dog to come follow me, the owner got the hint. read more
