This review is a reflection of the poor service and lack of professionalism of the administrative staff of Wolff Contracting. To be fair, I must mention the quality of work completed by the actual worker (Charles) was excellent.
Wolff contracting was hired by the developer in my HOA community in order to fix door related deficiencies. In my particular case, the casing of my patio door and the door itself needed to be realigned and waterproofed, the threshold needed to be replaced due to it being too short and a drip cap needed to be installed to prevent water intrusion. These issues surfaced as a result of a rainstorm and water damage which affected my home, along with several other homes in my community.
Charles from Wolff Contracting came out to assess the work which would need to be done. He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable and neat. Charles made a list of all the repairs which needed to be addressed, and advised me JP (Wolff Contracting Project Manager) would be ordering the necessary parts, and scheduling the repairs. JP called me within an hour of Charles leaving and told me he would order the parts and be in touch the following day to give me a time frame of when I could expect the work to start. After not hearing from JP for nearly a week, I followed up with with an email and a voicemail which were not answered. I did this several times, and after following up and CC'ing the Wolff Contracting CEO, Michael Wolff, in the email, I received an answer from JP stating he was unable to respond due to being busy and "firewall issues". JP then called me, advised me the parts were on order, he did not know when they would be arriving, and asked me not to include Michael Wolff in any of the emails anymore. JP assured me he would be in touch with me every few days to update me on the status of the work. After not hearing from JP for two weeks, I followed up again and expressed my frustration at the poor communication. JP replied and told me all the parts were in and scheduled a time for Charles to come out and complete the repairs. Charles came out, and was, just as the time prior punctual and professional; however Charles advised us JP neglected to order the drip cap or the threshold. Charles completed the other repairs on the list, and told us he would again give JP the specifications of the drip cap and threshold to order. JP never reached out and after another two weeks of waiting I followed up again, expressed my frustration with his lack of communication and respect for out time, and asked JP to please make sure and order all the necessary parts for the repairs to be completed in one visit so as not to waste any more of anyone's time. JP assured me he would order the parts which would be delivered in two weeks. After four weeks of no communication, I again followed up with JP and he replied, stating the parts were in and scheduled for Charles to come out again. Charles came out again and installed the drip cap. When Charles brought the threshold in, he became very visibly frustrated and informed us JP ordered the wrong threshold, and that he would have to come back once again when the new threshold was in. I sent JP another frustrated followup email asking to please either order the correct part, or direct me to someone at Wolff Contracting who can do this without wasting any more of our time. About 30 minutes later, I received a reply from Michael Wolff, stating he would no longer allow me to "belittle" and "disrespect" JP, that he would not waste time going into details why, and that he was taking his team off my project. I now have a patio threshold with about a 1/4 gap in it, which will undoubtedly leak with the next rain, if not addressed prior to. After speaking to some of my neighbors, I learned several of them had similar experiences with Wolff Contracting.
Shame on you, Wolff Contracting, for treating people in need in such a dismissive manner. read more
